Check out the number of points deducted throughout the event. One point deduction for Costa could have swayed the decision towards a win for Vettori? Maybe? Caceres is also back in the winning column and on a solid win streak. All in all, this was a long event, a lot of matches went the distance.

@TheNineClub. The score the 3 judges gave is 48-46, 48-46, 48-46. If we remove the point deduction it would be 3 48-47. The fight was 3 rounds won for Marvin Vettori vs. Paulo Costa’s 2.

Also, the point deduction for the accidental eye poke was very much unfair for Costa, I reckon. I have never before seen a referee remove a point immediately from the very first accidental eye poke.

Paulo Costa vs. Marvin Vettori

I should say Paulo Costa seems really big inside the ring with Marvin Vettori, and it is a fight of never backing down for Marvin Vettori even though he is receiving kicks from Costa, he keeps on moving and giving Costa counter punches, and we can see how to focus Marvin Vettori is against Costa, and while the fight is proceeding I could say I can see how heavy Costa is that he is showing signs of fatigue while fighting Vettori, and in the next round Paulo Costa have given so much body kicks to Vettori, but Marvin Vettori have such high durability to break down, until Paulo Decided, or Accidentally poke Vettori in the eye, that have deducted his score, I could say both men have taken their aggression at each other until the match ends, I really think that both men were at their limits but they carry on and salute to Marvin Vettori for being a professional.

Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Joselyne Edwards

I could say my decision has proven right and I have said that Edwards could be on a slight advantage against Clark but I am sticking my Nose on Jessica-Rose Clark, winning this, but what I thought was wrong because Jessica-Rose Clark has proven that she is more dominant with her wrestling against Edwards, the pressure from Clark's takedowns and clinch have proven how Clark can hold the pressure.

Congratz to Marvin Vettori. He really deserves it. I feel like Costa has caught a star, when asking for a bigger cheque and refused to fight, I think against Gastelum. He was about to fight this summer. But he wanted a bigger cheque after Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley fight. Vettori has showed his real place. Vettori should fight Cannonier next, Whittaker (after his fight to Adesanya) and then a third attempt to beat Adesanya.

Marvin Vettori really show how dedicated of a fighter he is, and Paulo Costa has shown how trashy of a fighter he is, and that attitude was after the Adesanya fight, he surely doesn't want to move on from that fight and don't really accept the facts that he lost in that fight,

And for Marvin Vettori, I don't know if he is really ready for Jared Cannonier, and that guy comes from the heavyweight division, which means he surely has his experience with the heavyweights, and from that Costa fight I think Vettori still had a hard time with Paulo Costa, and I think with Jared Cannonier he is still a way too far behind and needs another fight before Cannonier, well that is just my opinion.

Brunson is already scheduled to fight Cannonier next then the title if he wins.  That would be another nice match up with some history behind it.  Adesanya and Brunson fought before a few years back.

Caceres bet cashes.  It expected the match to be close but not with Caceres winning via sub.  Lol.  The line for that one could be more than 20.

No no, you are completely right on that one, I just sometimes question judges' decisions and what might impact them, but you are completely right on that one. Maybe the refs had some pressure from UFC brass regarding eye pokes, but that just seems like a miss for the company, trying to prevent them that way rather than redesigning the glove.

Abu Dhabi UAE is really stunning and the thing I like and what I miss was the fight island where the ring is at the seashore, it is really beautiful to watch and I think when fighters would surely love getting back there that vibe and feeling,

Well, the fighters that I think would dominate inside the octagon, but this is not my final pick but will still be looking at all the nook and crannies of all fighters, 1st for me is Jan Blachowicz, Islam Makhachev, Khamzat Chimaev, and lastly will be the beautiful Amanda Ribas.

If you didn't watch previous main event fight Marvin Vettori vs Paulo Costa, try to find recording and watch it now, it's one of the best five round fights I recently watched in UFC.
Costa punched hard with his legs and was better in last round, but Vettori was superior with movement and had much more total and significant strikes.
I had small bet on Vettori and I am happy final outcome but this fight could go either way if Vettori was not so tough, and never finished before.
Dana White said that Costa will have to fight in Lightheavyweight division from now on

The fight island looks cool but majority of the fighters flying from US and surrounding countries will not be liking the long flights as it would take sometime to get rid of the jet lag and then get accumulated to the weather condition. The hospitality is world class and if not for the long and tiring travel they would enjoy fighting in the UAE.

Jan Blachowicz, Islam Makhachev, Khamzat Chimaev looks like a good parlay to bet, have to check their opponents and finally glad to see  Khamzat Chimaev return after a long break.

UFC 267 whole main card worth watching.

I think it will be easy to predict the winner of main event. Jan would win Teixera. I don't see Teixera as a champ. He has been fighting in UFC for ages, this is second title fight (first was 7 years ago). All of Teixera career was like scales more here and there. Teixera always is looking like is tired. I simply don't feel him winning, even though is ranked first in light heavy. Both fighters has a lot of knockouts in the records, but I think the fight will go full distance and will and by unanimous decision.

Really, Sandhagen over Yan? I thought it was universally thought of as Yan's fight to win but would like to hear the other side. Personally, I am leaning towards Yan, but Sandhagen will bring the heat. I think Yan will do anything and everything to win this one after the loss from Sterling (no matter how he lost), so there is additional emphasis on Yan that will push him.

Why Sandhagen is an underdog in this fight? Just because Petr Yan once was a champ? I think they both have identical chances to win. Yan is more aggressive, but Sandhagen will try to counter it with wrestling. I think that Yan had only two tough opponents in UFC, Faber and Aldo. Sandhagen also Franky Edgar and Dillashaw ( I don't think that Sandhagen has lost that fight completely, it was a split decisions and only 1 point advantage). All their other opponents were not that tough.

This weekend we will see some exciting UFC fights, because of the several fights that exist, some great fighters will face each other later at UFC 26, But as a fan of Khabib Nurmagomedov, of course I did not miss the fight of Islam Makhachev who is a sparring partner and student of Khabib.

Yeah , yes yan is dominating as a champ , but what i feeling right now that he was pushing for sterling match right now , the mindset is not right and i think he might overpush for upcoming match and lost via tko . Sandhagen is actually a great fighter

If based on line value, I don’t mind Kenny’s parlay.  Check the match between Yan and Aljo at UFC Stats.  Aljo was statistically ahead in significant strikes before he started slowing down and then the illegal knee happened.

Sandhagen has good cardio and could make it close than the line suggests.

I get the Li pick too.  Chimaev had a bad case of covid and had a somewhat long lay off.  So we don’t really know what shape he’s right now and if he’s ready to take the step up vs Li.  Li isn’t that bad.

So yeah..  I really wouldn’t be surprised if both underdogs won.

Edit:  Jandiroba could be another good underdog pick.

Well, Vettori gained a fan last weekend from me. I've always been quite the critic when it comes to his style, and while he definitely has finished a lot of fighters, I've always thought he could be more active when he takes people down onto the mat. Well, against Costa he proved he actually has some decent striking ability. I thought he was outstriking Costa much of the fight, and the only reason Costa was still in it was because of the impact from his shots, rather than the volume.

There was one point in the fight quite late on where I thought Costa had Vettori on the ropes. It was from a couple of body shots which seemed to hurt him quite a bit, but he recovered nicely. I'm not sure what's next for either fighters, it seems Vettori might have hit a plateau, as I don't think he's going to be beating Izzy anytime soon, but he probably clears up the rest of the up, and coming contenders.

Costa, again I'm not sure where to put him. He'll always have a chance in a fight due to his heavy hands, but his striking ability as a whole probably has to be questioned. I'm not sure what's next for him to be honest.
