I second with that - in Pakistan only one athlete participate in winter olympics. And there were 2 assistant with him, now you can realize how much interest Pakistani  have in other games. Only a few people have interest in other sports. cricket is the game which can be played with least investment that is one of the reason kids play cricket and then they get interested in cricket.

You cannot compare with the amount of athletes send for winter Olympics as a benchmark because how often we have snow in these regions round the clock, only specific regions have snowfall during winter and you cannot expect athletes without opportunities. Hockey is a major sport they play and they had some legendary players and they are good at it.

Yes - they play hockey, but it is not well admired. How many hockey players would a kid in Pakistan be knowing? On the other hand Boys play cricket in every street in Pakistan.
But for hockey - it is not the same. There is a small segment of people who watch hockey matches and who understand the game.

I have sad news to share that we have lost another Australian legend. Andrew Symonds died yesterday in a car accident. I do remember the matches where Shane Warne and Andrew Symonds together won many matches for the Australians. 

Another blow for Australians after they lost Shane Warne few weeks ago. He is one of best allrounder we have seen till date. Who can forget his innings of 143 not out against Pakistan in 2003 world cup. CA is going through a tough era, let's hope it ends soon.

I have sad news to share that we have lost another Australian legend. Andrew Symonds died yesterday in a car accident. I do remember the matches where Shane Warne and Andrew Symonds together won many matches for the Australians.

He was the only cricketer I hated most whenever Australia played with India. An amazing and extraordinary journey ended in a tragic accident. May his soul rest in peace. This year has been bad for Australian cricket. Just a few month back they lost Shane Warne.

No doubt he was the hard hitter of the ball and in the era we did not have many hitters who could throw the ball out of the ground on every other ball. I also remember his match against Pakistan where he scored almost 50 runs in the 2003 world cup and Pakistan lost the match. Had he not played that innings, Pakistan could have easily won the match.

Andrew Symonds was a legendary cricketer.  At the same time, in my opinion, he did not fully realize his sports potential.  The reason was his imperfect personal qualities. 

He had the opportunity to achieve much better sports results. 

In fact, his sports career ended in 2008.  He had many disciplinary actions.  He was also charged with alcohol abuse.  However, no one tried to deny the fact that he is an excellent team cricketer.  He was appreciated as an excellent versatile field player.  He had an excellent reaction, high growth, excellent speed characteristics and high throwing accuracy. 

It is very unfortunate that he died.

That's the sad reality of life which we can't change, Symonds is no doubt a versatile player who introduced new techniques of fielding. He bowled both medium fast and leg spin. Lovely to watch him playing for Australia, appreciate his role as a cricketer.

Andrew Symonds was a great player and he was known for his match-winning performance. he was a really valuable player for Australia and his contribution can never be forgotten. He was the backbone of one-day international matches for Australia. he had a great career of 11 years. It is really sad to see a player die only at the age of 46.

After having 310 runs on board, their bowlers were also on target and packed all Pakistani batting under 228 with the highest scorer was number nine batsman Wasim Akram 33. Harvey was hero for his team with the figure of 4/58.
 
This is a big lost for cricket and specially for CA as they are suffering badly in the last few weeks with the death of Shane Warne and now Symonds.

Really shocking to hear the news and i was not expecting to hear this, a really bad year for Australian Cricket players as this is the third prominent player this year. When i heard about the news about the accident i was going through his old highlights which pops up and he was such an incredible fielder and could change matches with his batting and take the match away from the opponent single handedly.

That was obviously a great match and one of the great classics that is going to be remembered for a long time. We all know that Australia has always been one of the greatest cricketing teams in the whole world. So it is obvious that they have been producing some great players through the time and he was obviously one of them. Some unfortunate losses for Australian cricket in recent times.

Without any provocation, McGrath sledged Sarwan, asking him: "How does Lara's *** taste like?".. Sarwan replied: "I don't know.. ask your wife". McGrath got in to a fit, and his wife was hospitalized with cancer at that time. But again, who started this?

This statement might sound  exaggeration to North Indian's ears (including Pakistani Punjab) Maaki and behan ki are more like helping verbs and casually used by almost every north indian in daily life be it with friends or when they are fighting. Just watch any Ind vs Pak series pre 2007 for example.

This was the first test series i started following the Indian team and ironically this is the same series when Aussie team earned the term " Pack of Wolve/wild dogs". The amount of cheating Aussie did in this series were freaking embarrassing and cheating not only on technical level but gully cricket cheating, including umpires and almost every Australian media wanted Pointing's head due to this.

It's very strange that Aussies complaining about sledging they have zero moral values when sledging touring teams. Shane Warne, McGrath, Ponting all these great players were also great in sledging. Only Indian players can give them reply not because of there performance because they gave IPL contracts.
