I don't know about Dennis Espino, maybe those who are watching PBA a long time ago have seen him played, I just started to watch consistently like 5 years ago I guess.

I will never forget this guy and his team itself, Sta. Lucia Realtors. This team, if I remembered it right, always ended up eliminated in the majority of the season but never give up on their goal. They are a famous team in PBA because they want an All-Filipino lineup, literally pure Pinoy blood. In other words, they only got a foreign player on their lineup if not on All-Filipino Conference.

I agree with Asi, Dennis Espino is tough to defend. One of the core players of Sta. Lucia, Espino also has a mid-range shot aside from doing the usual center/forward post making him hard to defend on post-up. I never even though that the Realtors will not make a championship but they did.

The strategy of the with Fajardo as the center can easily be predictable too, but no team has stop their system yet.

Yes, I agree because no one is capable to defend him at 100%. Meaning even with Fajardo's predictable skill, teams can't do something about it.

Only if Fajardo and Asi played at the same generation on their prime, I really want to see how their matchup will look like.

Thanks for that little trivia, never know that, I wish we will see a team like that now, but it seems PBA has already change, they prefer to hire Fil Am players as they have taller and more athletic.

Distrito appeals for lifting of Abueva ban: 'Di s'ya masamang tao'

I almost forgot that until now Abueva's indefinite suspension is still on, a Former PBA player is supporting the lift of ban of Abueve.
This long break of the PBA should give the higher officials more time to re evaluate the case of Abueva and hopefully when the season resumed, they would lift the suspension and give him another chance to play, fans would really want to see him, including me.

Hopefully all the help of Abuava during the pandemic, the management can see it and they can use this as a basis to lift the suspension.

That seems to be a very familiar picture, that "meme" was very popular, and it made sense that you used it here, I hope he will comply to the demand of the commissioner so he will come back, but I'm just curious, isn't it hard to comply the demand since he's been suspended for almost a year already?

I think the suspension was given after the game, so let's say he was suspended last June 4, the date that article above is published, so that's almost a year already, I think he serve a long period already.

That was way back 3 months ago and I think it was discussed before here.

Marcial also said that it's up to Abueva if he will say something about the task in public. That's why I don't get why Abueva's wife is outraging back then in social media if she already knows what the task (well, they're spouse so I don't think Abueva will not tell his wife about that lol). She said that what else Abueva should do in order to lift his suspension.

But several months have been passed, I believed that specific "task" was already done. Again, "I believed".

I bet we can see him now once PBA resumed.

32 years but looks like he is not aging, he still has that energy in him, he is the only one in the team who can bring the energy because he has that kind of swag, but based on what I notice, coach Alas loves to rotate his people same with the style of Alaska, I just hope that he will consider abueva playing more minutes. probably 25 minutes or more average per game.

Personally, i don't missed him playing in the PBA because i am not a fan of his antics  . On the other, i pity him and it's about time to let him play again after more than a year of ban. With all he have done during the pandemic, gut tells me he is good to go in the PBA once more. At 32 years old, he is still on his peak, he can still run the floor with ease, thanks to his genetics lol.


Just for fun, maybe we can bet just a small amount of BTC here for a simple question.

But kidding aside, I also wish Abueva can be able to come back soon. Maybe on the next conference? I am not a fan of him to be honest (actually I'm more excited for Fajardo's full recovery) but I miss his charisma somehow. I can see Rodman in him — a great player with a gangsta attitude. But once he back, I really hope he already changed for real because at the end of the day the sport he is playing is basketball. Too much commotions are inappropriate.

Abueva needs to change for good. He is one of the best and competitive players in the league. He is not a good example of that 2 cases he did that lead to his suspension and I badly want him to be suspended and be served a hard penalty during that time. I'm expecting a no more childish, and irresponsible act once he returns.

Yes, the very first game of Phoenix in the conference/season because the chance of lifting the suspension is very high and it might be announce before the resumption of the PBA.

PBA hopes to resume practices by July once IATF gives go-signal , maybe the announcement of PBA return might be on August or September so we will revisit this thread once that announce is available so we can set the deadline of betting. Thanks for the suggestion.

I am always waiting for Calvin to return in PBA and Gilas. He is really an energetic player. If he enters the court, he changes the game offensively and defensively. But because of his  quick-tempered, he was suspended in PBA. Well, that is the appropriate punishment for every players who does not abide the rules.

What happened to Abueva should be a warning for other players specially for those who always in brawl.



Since we will make a mini-betting.

1. I suggest to have atleast 2 weeks to bet so that there is no more speculation. In addition, we don't know if on the last week of this month PBA will officially announce it. So I suggest that we have to make a duration time in betting.

2. We should have an escrow service or addresses so that those who bet for no or yes can send it right now until the duration period.


I just observe that there is zero bet for "no" haha. It's too hard to bet no when there are many bet in "yes". So we may adjust the winning rate for 60/40?

If you bet 400 pesos in "no" you can win 600 pesos if you are correct. And if you bet 600 pesos for "yes" you will win 400. So that we balance the game? What do you think?
