Unfortunately no, I know that last I talked to the Devs, which was just a few hrs ago, they were still in negotiations and I can say no more than that,  sry

EDIT

This is why they no longer do hard deadlines lol

What a surprise!!

Was this supposed to be the BIG surprise? Because it is NO surprise that the devs have yet again, promised, delayed, and I await the inevitable disappointment of the ACTUAL announcement...

I was actually a tad excited to see that they had tweeted about an upcoming announcement, Pat also tweeting that this would be an exciting week for VRC. But I really should know better by now than to think they could actually come through with anything impressive, let alone on time.. Huh Huh Huh
EDIT:
yup…i was excited.. but didn't keep my hopes up too much.. not sure if they'd deliver on time
wow lol your both ridiculous, if theres one thing thats for sure is these devs ALWAYS deliver... relax and wait for the ann, your like babies waiting for their susses..

so. what is wrong with my statement: i meant to add "on time"

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Yeeep.. It's pretty dissapointing really. I think im about done with crypto. I got in to crypto thinking it would be an interesting and potentially profitable hobby, with other intelligent (far more intelligent than me) enthusiasts to interact with.

Instead what I have found is that crypto a cesspool of scammers, liars, cheerleaders, and the just plain retarded.. With the odd exception here and there for a coin that shows the slightest amount of innovation, or a person with some reasonable intelligence that isn't completely clouded with either greed or other questionable motives..

You should visit meetup.com and check to see if your area has a bitcoin meetup group. If not maybe you should start one. I can tell you I've had 1000x more intelligent conversations with real people in real life vs. talking to those on the internet (not that I haven't met some cool people). What I'm trying to say is don't give up!  Sad

I think most people are not dumb, but just acting dumb online.

Those who live in the past are depressed, those who live in the future are anxious, but those who live in the present are at peace.

OMG, that's thrilling. It must be a hard night for the devs.
Shinraven created a small banner that I added to my Website, FB and mail signature and that I linked to vericoin.info

I hope more people do so, it's the easiest way to promote Vericoin

Thx to Shinraven for your help

I know there are rabid fanboys of each coin that swear that their coins are the best.
Regardless of the coin, when a date is given, people need to deliver, that is all.
Never had anything bad to say about this coin until the continuous hype of a big announcement that has not happened.

Again, and again, with many chances to just deliver, and not promise promise promise. I have been saying this since middle of June. Apparently they will never see the value in launching things without a "big announcement" or "secret weapon" talk that is / has been complete nonsense, and did nothing but hurt the image / brand of vericoin. How in the world is it going to be THE crypto, if the developers cannot help but shoot themselves in the foot with every announcement?

I have become convinced over the past month our community is trying hard, but we have to face the fact we are amature. Myself, the dev team, and most of the community. Nothing will save us if we cannot save ourselves. I cannot keep investing money, but more importantly my time, when so many things done here lately continue to go against everything I stand for in business / crypto.

I mean down to the basics. Under promise, over deliver. All we get lately is promises, re-assurance of promises, and failed execution.

I'm going to try and cool off a minute before I really tell you all how I feel. Because this is a very, very sad day for me. All I asked was to consider no more let downs due to over promising a deadline. For a few weeks it looks like people got it... But that was just temporary, now its back to standard operating procedure of the past months which is what brought us to this point of failure.

I thought PHD capable minds, and ties to large companies would somehow ensure these devs have common sense. That is something that needs to be judged by everyone investing in VRC today. You need a lot of things to succeed, and foremost, you need hyper focus, with the ability to learn / progress a technology / brand. These guys, as nice as they are, just don't seem to be capable of the goals they set out to achieve.

As of this point I have lost my confidence in the currency, and those leading it. I wish you all the best and I will continue to watch and support the coin, but on a far less active basis. gl

Those who live in the past are depressed, those who live in the future are anxious, but those who live in the present are at peace.

First it was the hype with wizrig when Pnosker said everything is legit, watch back the hangout video how reassuring Pnosker was about the intentions and legitimacy of the scammer wizrig. We know what happened then. Then it was the New York Wall Street meeting, hype making tweets about investors and nice big office buildings, no substance whatsoever and nothing happened. Then came the BTC conference hype without any impacts on the progress and content delivery. Then they started to talk about new features, whitepapers without delivering anything to date. This weekend was for the announcement of a secret project, of course the clowns delivered nothing by the promised time.

They are taking the piss on the community and investors and you accept any shit from these three clowns. That's your present, if you want to talk about the present :-)))

The syscoin failure, CLOAK crash, DRK crash, LTC crash, BTC crash were a major opportunity for the vericoin team. I think they missed this opportunity. Some of the sys, drk, cloak, btc money could come easily to VRC upon any positive news from the vericoin team.

To make a quick profit yes but the devs have more in mind than just the price going up here and there. The devs are thinking long term. If a coin is good then it will stick around and eventually have more than just a week or month long value.

I didn't mean get the money from cloak, drk and sys for quick profit and day trade but make stronger the coin, and I agree the long term goals are the most important.
