Doesnµt the included cgminer support fpga devices?

cgminer supports fpga.  bamt does not.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Some but not all.  It's an older version of cgminer, 2.3.1 I believe, not 100% sure.  So anything supported in that is good to go out of the box.  You can build an newer version of cgminer on BAMT if you have enough Linux knowledge.  Or, you can bug lodcrappo to update the version and push it out on the fixer, good luck on that.  Wink

even if you get the devices working in cgminer, they will not show up in any of the bamt tools, are not monitored or graphed or managed at all by bamt.  bamt does not support nongpu mining.

Take your pick, I used the first link and just had to update the sources to reflect current versions. It's been running about a month now without issue for me anyway. Here are some hints for the cgminer options to add in the BFL's:

If this works for you, please remember to donate to lodcrappo to keep supporting BAMT.

Well I think I have enough experience with Debian to try and recomplie cgminer, However the fact that no other tool will work is a bummer.

looks like I will have to find another solution.

Well, you can still use BAMT with cgminer, it's just BAMT's built in tools don't monitor FPGAs.  You can still use one of the the cgminer monitoring tools for the stats output.  Check the miner software forum for those tools.

Kano has a guide to making your own bootable usb key with cgminer.  I would look at that.

I now have the 7970 that was purchased by donations, thanks to everyone who contributed and to Joshwa for selling me the GPU.

I will be working on a BAMT update in the next few days.

I know it might sound silly but when I was building BAMT rigs with 5+ GPU I would start with 1 GPU, get it stable, then add the next, make both stable, and so on. Sometimes you'll need to tweak settings as you go, especial if you are using PCIe extenders. Have you tired just 1 GPU?

So while we wait for the official 7970 edition of bamt, I have made a quick little guide as to how you can start mining with GCN with bamt!

I can't access my box VIA website statistics or gpumon.

I also get "xauth: (argv):1:  merge:  unable to open file /home/user/.Xauthority" once I get into SSH.

Anyone have any solutions?

Yes I have, and now it won't overclock.
