My http://bit.ly/IOdhFArig keeps hanging up on me. Have to restart it every few days. Just logged in via Putty, and saw this error:

Code:
xauth: (argv):1:  merge:  unable to open file /home/user/.Xauthority

How do I fix it?

Reduce your overclocking.
Thanks! Now OCing might have caused this particular error, but my rig still hangs on stock settings. Using an old MSi K9VGM-V

bad hardware then.  nothing in software will fix that.

Thanks. Alright, well I'll order some new tech for this rig then.

I sent a little something for the help. I am using BAMT on all my rigs and have become profitable over a short period of time. Thanks!

Why does BAMT give up on X? More importantly, why can't it find it?

Code:
May  8 02:22:01 kraken start_mining[2802]: pre mining tasks
May  8 02:22:02 kraken start_mining[2802]: wait 30 seconds for X to start...
May  8 02:22:03 kraken mother[2822]: #011autoconf client doesn't seem to be running, spawning one
May  7 18:24:00 kraken start_mining[2802]: still waiting for X after 30 seconds...
May  7 18:24:30 kraken start_mining[2802]: still waiting for X after 60 seconds...
May  7 18:25:00 kraken start_mining[2802]: still waiting for X after 90 seconds...
May  7 18:25:30 kraken start_mining[2802]: gave up on X after 120 seconds

Why did you send a donation *after* I offered a refund of your donation?  Regardless please let me know what address you'd like the refund sent to.

Relax... It's not working out for me, but you're still doing great work. So keep the donation and keep up the good work. I'll try again in a few weeks I'm sure  Smiley

To whom it may concern,

bamter.org and bamter.com are offline due to some sort of situation at the hosting company (MomentoVPS).
I used them b/c wanted to support business that takes bitcoin, but may have to move the sites to my own
hosting space if we have additional troubles.  Time will tell.

Apologies to BAMT Pro subscribers for the interruption, contact me with PM for refund info (although I don't yet know how long this is going to be down anyway).

Been having some hardom crashes lateley, there not due to overclocking. I found this in in my syslog:

Code:
May  8 13:36:18 (none) mother[3490]: #011autoconf client doesn't seem to be running, spawning one
May  8 13:36:21 (none) start_mining[3538]: post mining tasks...
May  8 13:36:21 (none) start_mining[3538]: gathering post-mine stats for offline mode
May  8 13:37:01 (none) /USR/SBIN/CRON[3803]: (root) CMD (/opt/bamt/mother)
May  8 13:38:01 (none) /USR/SBIN/CRON[3868]: (root) CMD (/opt/bamt/mother)
May  8 13:39:01 (none) /USR/SBIN/CRON[3937]: (root) CMD (/opt/bamt/mother)
May  8 13:40:01 (none) /USR/SBIN/CRON[4012]: (root) CMD (if [ -x /etc/munin/plugins/apt_all ]; then /etc/munin/plugins/apt_all update 7200 12 >/dev/null; elif [ -x /etc/munin/plugins/apt ]; then /etc/munin/plugins/apt update 7200 12 >/d$
May  8 13:40:01 (none) /USR/SBIN/CRON[4013]: (munin) CMD (if [ -x /usr/bin/munin-cron ]; then /usr/bin/munin-cron; fi)
May  8 13:40:01 (none) /USR/SBIN/CRON[4014]: (root) CMD (/opt/bamt/mother)
May  8 13:40:04 (none) /USR/SBIN/CRON[4010]: (CRON) error (grandchild #4013 failed with exit status 1)
May  8 13:41:01 (none) /USR/SBIN/CRON[4107]: (root) CMD (/opt/bamt/mother)

anything wrong in there ?

[Edit]
the other clues are:
Rig stops mining, ssh-connections close and new ones cannot be made.
The rig nolonger responds to ping.
The rig draws ~200W instead of the ~600 when it's mining.

Im propably looking at a random network issue here, but I have 3 other machines plugged to the same router in a similiar way and this is the only one acting up.

Bitcoin trinkets now on my online store: btc trinkets.com <- Bitcoin Tiepins, cufflinks, lapel pins, keychains, card holders and challenge coins.

where is the cgminer.conf in Bamt? Can i use cgminer.conf file?

I searched and found that the cgminer.conf is usally in .cgminer folder. But there isnt such folder in BAMT

I also downloaded the lastest cgminer-2.4.1 and compile, but still couldnt find such folder.

Does BAMT start each cgminer instance for each GPU or it actually start one cgmine instance and let cgminer manage all the GPUs?

I'm new to BAMT and just started my first BAMT machine.
