hey, since everybody and their mother now knows i'm an eye doc, how's your diabetic retinopathy?  i was dying to ask you that 3 yr ago back in my cgminer days when you first revealed that.  but that was before HF. Tongue   that's right up my alley you know.
Well, after lots of laser shots each visit (I'm pretty sure the total was 100 or more) I stopped going (about 2 years ago?)
Yeah I should get around to going back again when I can afford it Tongue (before I go blind)

clinically significant diabetic macular edema is not a good thing.  you need to tighten those blood sugar levels.  yes, laser and occasionally intravitreal injections of Avastin can be helpful.  good luck.

kano, change your diet. Research the Paleo diet. Start with some Google searches:

Yes, goog idea. And then research the paleo life style. That was that time before this species evolved into a collectivist cartoon (nationalized homo oeconomicus) of itself. But don't worry, this pandemic disease will disappear as all pandemic diseases did.

Zarathustra, you and I would get along great, as long as I don't bring my computer. I essentially agree with you on the local community.

Glad to see this. Besides the other health benefits, the psychobiotic effects of changing diet and microbe populations can be dramatic. Another easy and cheap thing to ferment is cucumber (skinned and pureed, put in a jar with loose lid for 2-4 days with water on top, usually no salt needed). Used to be just about everything was fermented, many of our bodies' functions are outsourced to cooperative bacteria that we've co-evolved with.

/OT

Good advice!

Lasers and Avastin only treat symptoms (and make other people rich).

To cure the cause, TII diabetics should remediate (IE reboot) their unbalanced microbiomes ASAP.

My holistic prescription for Kano:

-regulate candida overgrowth by cutting dairy/sugar/flour to zero, while consuming copious amounts of probiotics (esp. L. acidophilus) and vitamin C/D

-Meals should be at least 51% raw/sprouted/fermented fruit/veg/nut/legume

-get a colloidal silver generator; drink large glasses at bedtime and between meals (never mix with probiotics...it kills them too)

-avoid tap water treated with chlorine/chloramine as it also decimates good bacteria

-use your homemade or commercially manufactured colloidal silver (MesoSilver is the best) for eye drops and administer every two hours.  Easing the burden on the eyes' immune system will facilitate their healing. See http://www.thesilveredge.com/colloidal-silver-and-diabetes.shtml and http://treato.com/Colloidal+Silver,Edema/?a=s for details.

-walk at least a mile, twice a day

-one 24hr fast weekly and one 48hr/month

-take bilberry and lutein supplements to maintain/rebuild eye tissue.  Silica and MSM wouldn't hurt either.

This regime may also help trendy pseudo-celiacs and fat, lazy, diseased first worlders in general.

Rusty's rocking, really.

"Bitcoin Core CPU Usage With Larger Blocks"

http://rusty.ozlabs.org/?p=522
The Megatransaction: Why Does It Take 25 Seconds?

from the latter:

Quote from: Rusty Russell
This problem is far worse if blocks were 8MB: an 8MB transaction with 22,500 inputs and 3.95MB of outputs takes over 11 minutes to hash.
If you can mine one of those, you can keep competitors off your heels forever, and own the bitcoin network… Well, probably not.  But there'd
be a lot of emergency patching, forking and screaming…

Working against genetic factors is more difficult, but the auto-immune aspects may be ameliorated (or at minimum, not exacerbated) by maintaining a top shelf microbiome.

Here's a great service that will sequence your shit and provide demographic/symptomatic context:

We don't have a cure yet, but this promising new area of research is a welcome addition to the tool belt.

Good luck!

Nobody said anything about accumulating in your body as much silver as possible.

Argyria is only an issue with untested, poorly made CS that contains huge unprocessable particles and/or absurdly high ppm.

The generator and commercial product I linked provide CS at about 10-20 ppm, mostly in nano-scale clusters of 5-20 atoms.  You piss/sweat them out.

It is not possible to contract argyria from such low (near-zero) concentrations; the amount of CS needed would rapidly cause death by water intoxication long before any grey tinge.

Millions of people use CS, but do you see grey people at Wal-Mart?  Please, spare us the Reefer Madness tropes!   Cheesy

You don't have to be Paracelsus to understand the dose makes the poison.

LOL, what a clueless old bitch:

Quote
What exactly was in the nose drops that you took? What was the brand name? Did they contain silver salts, nitrates, protein binders or were they small particles of silver suspended in water? How much did you take?

As I explain on my webpage, I do not know the answers to these questions. All I know is that they contained silver

Stupid old bitch takes [god-knows-how-much] of [god-knows-what], turns grey, blames an ancient and still widely used product, then starts a 13 year crusade to blame everyone else for her stupidity.  Film at 11!   Roll Eyes

kano, change your diet. Research the Paleo diet. Start with some Google searches:
...
Then start fermenting cabbage or some food and eating it daily, along with your Paleo diet, because good bacteria appears to be one of the keys.

Also drastically increase your exercise.

Also consider a fecal transplant.

I am only eating sweet "potato" alias camote for carbohydrates. I am eating mostly chicken soup with cabbage and small mackerel-like fish fried whole (head and tail, crunchy). I eat green leafy vegetables with every meal.

I eat terribly poorly and use so much salt on nearly everything that accd to several of my girlfriends my cum is salty.  None-the-less, I seem to be as healthy as a horse, knock on wood.

I figure that my shit is top quality and would, for a modest fee, donate some of it to a select handful of persons from this forum.  Especially those having played a role in shilling or coding for mining gear scammers.  Top quality shit like mine could be taken orally and as a side benefit, it doesn't seem to stink.

Don't worry, Gavin has assured us "the financial crisis is over" because of, like, NTFLX and stuff.
