Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Even if the whole ETH thing stole a bit of Monero's steam, it brought huge amounts of traffic and BTC to Poloniex.
This is what needed to happen for monero to break key resistance levels on the upside.

At the moment it looks like we had a beautiful 50% fibonacci retracement could start to higher highs from here.

I'm sure ETH has certainly taken some of the limelight.

Polo turned alot of XMR idealist customers away with their verification rules.

But the fact that ETH has the biggest bid side I've ever seen on Polo and also it has smashed through XMR's old volume record means that there is certainly the BTC and the clientele willing to use Polo to make purchases.

I'm not worried until we break 0.0022.

Ummmm, bit too early to be spouting that one isn't it.

You said you'd sold 14k XMR around 0.0025. Well, unless you just had bids filled (which I doubt you have, as were going lower, right?) then you aren't right at all. You've got to actually buy back 14k lower for you to be in the money. Market buying 14k right now sends the price back up to 0.0026+.

The only thing you can claim you were right about is there would be a chance to buy cheaper than 0.0025 which many of us were already saying (and even then you would have only been able to buy a few k at best, certainly not very large positions).

The world is full of TrueCryptonaires, and I don't mean that in a bad way, the markets need people like him and the community needs to be mature enough to deal with it.

You are right, I am still bearish and I think we are going to continue correction (most likely).

Almost everything is dumping because of the ETH pump happening right now.

This is no dump with the technicals behind it, this is pure greed in action. These are the times you hold open your bag, sit back and thank the panic sellers later.

Once people cash out their ETH profits ( I don't see much room upwards before the price gets hammerd down again), the profit will be redistributed to the coins money was taken out of.

Thanks panic sellers Cool

Pretty oversold in multiple timeframes, ask side almost empty (13k to 260k)

Big hidden bullish divergence in the making on the daily chart, also in other timeframes.

Let's see if the top of the previous channel will act as support now.

Market sentiment is still pretty positive (judging the forum). It is usually because there are a lot of desperate bagholders who want to get liquidity so that they can dump on you.

I remain bearish on bitcoin as the dollar strengthens against the CNY, AUD, YEN, KRW, and others. I believe gold, bitcoin, oil, etc. are going to have a terrible time as people try to find refuge in American stocks, bonds, and dollars.

XMR may stabilize at .003 or higher but if bitcoin goes to $200, that's of little use.  .003 * 200 is .6 USD
I'm going to hang out in fiat for now. But I'll surely be back in cryptocurrency before next summer. I want to see goldbugs capitulating, more oil companies going bankrupt, bitcoin volume dropping, and maybe some bitcoin startups going under.

Year 2021
Bitcoin Supply: ~90% mined
Supply Inflation: <1.8%

Between your lines I am reading you still believe in crypto in the longrun.
I'd rather have a good chunk of Monero that appreciates against BTC then, should BTC drop further down.

IF you really sold 14k (which I and others it seems too doubt), good luck buying it all back cheaper if you still haven't done it.

I sold actually more than that.
I could have sold more but I think it is enough considering the effectiveness of trading.

I have no rush in buying back those coins. Why should I rush? I still have my core position and that was only the trading part of my position which I gave to stronger guys than me. You see, I have not been in gym for a while so I am not able to carry too heavy bags.  Wink

Bouncing back up from the upper limit of the previous upward trending trading channel (@ about 225k) is quite bullish. If we do not visit this area again, we go up from here.

Breaking it means that the next support is the lower limit, @ about 205k. If this is broken, then the uptrend that started a month ago, is violated and it's possible to fall back to the support in about 180k.

To me, this sounds like many "ifs" and the max gain for successfully selling now if all those happen, is about 30%. Not worth even trying. Not yet done with the initial accumulation of Company X...

However, if there will be days when the market is bleeding, the margin sellers will not make money and they might start dumping which makes things not looking too good.
I have time left to waite once the sellers enter to the markets. We might see some market calls on the marginal buyers also before all this is cleared.
There is no point in market buying any bigger amounts as the price goes up fast. Therefore in this market waiting is the best way to see if there will be sellers. The sellers who dump will cause also some sell walls all the way up so it gives for bigger accumulators a good buying liquidity. Now the liquidity is pretty low.

Judging by the comments in this topic XMR is a coin that is good when it is going up, good when it is going down and good the rest of the time !

Crossposting this to the right thread:

Monero has been trading in a sideways market since the 6th of August. Price is currently resting on a major pivot area, the 0.0024 level. The 0.0024 level is a fairly well established pivot zone and the market has respect it a number of times. This level served as support on two occasions during the past five days of trading, and once as resistance. It is very likely that price will find some support here before possible making a move north. If price manages to get to 0.0023, the 0.0024 level is very likely to turn into resistance, but that is a BIG if.

Does an opinion on the goodness of a coin has to be based on price? Your statement is a bit ambiguous I have to say.

Maybe it's because the price is only a very very small factor when you want to define wether a coin is good or bad?

Edit: you got me there by a few seconds mr. debruyne Smiley
