new release is immediate, you can see it when looking at the github repo. master branch is freezed since 2 weeks now.. ..
Isn't it enough that we have corrupted the meaning of "soon"? Are you now trying to do it with "immediate"? I actually just finished syncing and exiting my daemon minutes before you posted in anticipation of a release "soon". My comp is weak and it took over 2 hrs to exit from the daemon. Looking forward to the new release so I can easily move my 1.2 million Monero as I wish. I would love to buy more Monero now at these prices but alas I have been inundated with unique expenses lately. When I had Monero on Polo I used to have asks impossibly high. It is useful when one's cat walks across your keyboard. She never sold but did once market buy Monero. why dont you use the 0.9 beta binaries? they seem very stable to me. just give it 1 or 2 more weeks

Things are starting to turn north again I'm expecting an exciting month Oh poor funkybits.... it's the future talking.... I know you can't hear me, but I got some bad news for you my friend.... Hang in there though. It might take longer than you expect, but when it starts to move it will likely move a lot faster than you expect. (that goes for us here in the 'present' as well)

Are there any stores online or offline that accept Monero?
https://steambitshop.com/ through shapeshift (they even show xmr as a payment option, but together with a bunch of other alts) and any bitcoin shop through xmr.to

Good to know but there are no stores that directly accept Monero or only accept Monero as a payment option? There's a psychiatrist in New York City, which is an interesting use case (you can receive and pay for psychiatric help with complete privacy, in case you're concerned that others know about your psychiatric condition, which is a shame that mental health has this stigma, but oh well). But beyond that, your statement is mostly true. XMR currently has a lot of usability issues - the software works, but the code is not documented well. The community recently funded a developer to go through all the bajillion lines of code to comment it up. https://forum.getmonero.org/9/work-in-progress/2373/documentation-and-cleanup-of-source-codeThis will allow others to use Monero (and develop upon it) more easily. To date, the best useage guides are in the "help" command... and there's some document somewhere.

Unfortunately I think psychiatry is still something that is handled locally not over the internet and I am not sure how many people from here live in the area (I am far away)

May I suggest a psychologist instead of a psychiatrist so you don't end up unnecessarily using harmful drugs.
It would also make it possible to do therapy long distance. Obviously person to person would be better, of course every situation is unique.
I am sure I could convince a very experienced, and IMHO an excellent psychologist, to accept Monero.

Hrm, that could be a good way to use the same infrastructure associated with web cam girls to provide private mental health services.

There's a psychiatrist in New York City The more time you spend on this forum the more you need it. Nah, this forum provides excellent Primal Troll Therapy and Cryptonerd Encounter Group sessions. Very soothing to frazzled, info-glutted modern central nervous systems.

There has been risen an argument of the high inflation of Monero recently. I disagree. It is getting now pretty low and ready for mainstream adaption from that perspective. By mainstream I mean people outside of crypto, not necessarily the whole world (which is most likely to happen for the crypto currencies in general, but that's years from now as the digitalization goes even further). Long term definetely Monero is a good buy. There will be for sure people who are concerned on the privacy of their wealth. Money confiscations by the banksters will help Monero definetely. Also it is just a matter of time (and perhaps ready GUI wallet that enables the adaption).
For short term thinkers - Monero is a good buy-probably by the end of the year (which happens to be in just a few months) Monero can realistically reach new ATH at least bitcoin wise (it takes "only 5-6 times" growth). For the longer term, the picture is even better.

in 3-4 weeks time a cup (from cup n handle) pattern has emerged which will (at the end of october) result a violent lift off into the 80's as the market tries to figure out the correct value/price of a moneroj.
