Judging by the comments in this topic XMR is a coin that is good when it is going up, good when it is going down and good the rest of the time !

~LOL~

Does an opinion on the goodness of a coin has to be based on price? Your statement is a bit ambigious I have to say.

I'm amused by how any turn in the price action, whether up or down, seems to be cast in a positive light by the fanbois here.

Btw, XMR broke through 0.0023 and 'ambigious' is spelled 'ambiguous'

~LOL~

Believe me, friend, the amusement will quickly turn to irritation and then contempt if you stick around for any length of time.  Roll Eyes

It has a reason that this thread is called the speculation thread Smiley Everyone is free to give their opinion here and most should be taken with a grain of salt.

Anyway, thanks for correcting my spelling mistake. Not a native speaker, so I might make an occasional spelling error from time to time.

Regarding speculation: Perhaps some of the XMR traders are riding the ETH wave which currently has a volume of over 2500 BTC on poloniex. In a sense, this gives poloniex some additional credibility.

Carry on. Much amusement. Its getting harder and harder to tell y'all apart on a fundamental level from the DRK DASH crowd with every day that goes by.

I am wondering what changed your view?

Speaking of Monero speculation, there doesn't seem to be a lot of speculation in Monero … just a nice steady coin with a thoughtful and focused development team with their eyes on the prize - private transactions and fungability. When the approaching 'Great Deflation' in crypto occurs, I predict Monero will be one of the last coins standing.

But I am just speculating …

Dash doesn't have brass balls.

We need the glengarry leads. We need the good leads!

It takes BRASS BALLS to sell Monero!

Every time you sell could easily become the last. Don't come around whining when price goes exponential

Honestly buddy. If that's true it just shows that you have weak frame and can't make rational decisions.

Honestly buddy, I don't think you have the training, experience or intellect to know what a rational decision is.

I still think the downward action today was mostly driven by the Ether fomo.

Because these kinds of threads provide an essential insight into the XMR community.

Besides your point about "wether price goes up or down, people in this thread talk posiitively about monero"

What exactly do you mean with "fanboi BS"?

I am not taunting you or whatever trolls do on the internet. I am honestly interested in your view, because critics are as important as supporters to this community in my opinion.

...
Because these kinds of threads provide an essential insight into the XMR community.

I sincerely hope you don't believe that.  A good third of the posts in this thread are from bipolar ne'er do wells.  Of course they're going to misrepresent the state of the market and the health of the coin in order to feel like they have some kind of control over things.  Speculation threads are like flypaper traps for those people.

Awesome!  The price went down.

Thanks for selling Mr. Cthulhu Whale.  Hopefully it stays down long enough for Coinbase to take that useless, useless fiat paycheck of mine and let me convert it into cold hard bitcoin -> Monero.  (aka real money)

Everytime I buy crypto it feels like I'm making historic deals: "So, you want Alaska?  And you're offering the equivalent of a Playstation 4?  Hmmm... OK."

Seriously, I can understand if you don't gamble $10k on Monero.  That's a crazy baller amount to throw into a dream if you are middle class like me.  But anyone with access to this board has no excuse not to own at least 1,000 Monero.

I knew Nepalese waiters working practically as slave labor over in Abu Dhabi that would be able to scrounge up that much over a few months if they really wanted to.  And odds are you aren't some poor immigrant working on a strict contract for $1100 a month.  (one of the smartest kids I ever met... dude was 21 and taught himself Arabic within a year of moving there and spent his time reading Arabic financial newspapers... fucking awesome.  I tried to get him to do some research on bitcoin because that's just now hitting UAE.  This is yet another reason why we all deserve equal access to money - this kid was as hard working and smart as any of us but because he had the misfortune of being born in Nepal he is scraping for peanuts while many who are less capable are sitting fat, dumb, and happy)

Sometimes things just feel right.

I have been wrong in the past... but when I look at Monero I get the same feeling as when I spliced some phone lines together in 1995 and logged onto AOL with a bootleg password (you mean I can look up *anything*?).  It's the same as when I was using Google search engine in the early 2000's, or when I first played with an iPhone, or the first time I streamed a movie off of Netflix, or when I first took some time to learn about bitcoin.

This is the real fucking deal folks.  And you won't see when the meteor hits, because once we go vertical, we may not come back to these levels ever again.  If you thought this lifetime price chart was going to be like bitcoin's where we hit a new high and then slowly bleed off to the old high... think again.  One look at the lifetime chart shows you that if we are in a fractal pattern it's not going to be like one we have seen before.

Some of these posts are admittedly humorous, and the ridicule is certainly deserved, but let's try to keep the thread free enough from huge image clutter for discussion to occur.

And for others (such as ralle14, whose reply I deleted):

When quoting posts, please remove any large charts or other images unless the quoted post is at least one page old. Please shrink (or remove) large images in replies in all cases.
