so tomorrow is the magical 8.8. - I'm really curious if something will happen and what.  Roll Eyes

I found a copy of tomorrow's script in the hotel printer:

-Otoh (aka King DashHole), jealous of XMR's moon trip and angry about the Dash crash, borrows every available Monero to short

-Otoh's 28k rage dump briefly breeches 0.0023

-XMR is suddenly added to BTC38, in celebration of Lucky Monero Day

-XMR rallies, shorts are squeezed like lemons, price spikes to $8

So warz' wall at 0.002451 is being sold into. Lets see if it holds. If it doesn't next stop on the pullback will be 0.00235 bang on where I predicted yesterday.

While this is certainly possible, there are probably several individuals who missed yesterdays action and are looking to take a position.

I don't believe Mr. Warz would put up a ~ 50? BTC buy order at 0.002451, if there was a realistic chance to accumulate such an amount of xmr at much lower prices in the near future.

While many people sit on the sidelines hoping to get their lowball orders filled, there is a good chance someone is going to buy up a good chunk of the super thin ask side followed by a big buy wall.

I took my position a long time ago and am currently enjoying the show. Game on! May courage be rewarded Wink

This increase is nothing compared to what's coming, the market has yet to factor in the new code optimizations and CK will add organic buy pressure, it will be an interesting Q3/Q4 and I'm not even considering additional exchanges adding Monero or a XMR/USD pair Cool

Am I in the minority as someone who has bothered to actually read all the topics about Monero on bitcoin talk, and have downloaded the latest source and compiled it?

It's amazing how many people out there don't do any due diligence before making investments...  I had to learn this the hard way in years past.

It's one thing to say, "I am into Monero because there is a lot of good buzz and people I trust like it."

It's another to be able to say, "I've given the whole project a thorough look over in all respects and even though I don't understand every bit of code, I can't find any discrepancies and it looks like it has amazing potential."

Bold my emphasis. That is the smart way to invest. By the way did you run benchmarks against the official binaries or was your computer not capable of running the official binaries?

When he's right, he's right.

At least try to change the content of your arguments when talking up/down the price, depending on your current position Wink

With all the bear talk in here... i wonder why there is basically nothing up for sale to the  .0023 -.0024 level? One decent buy clears the June 8th high, shorts closing not even considerd.

Don't get burned.

The low bound of the rising channel is like in .00205 so very good luck to everyone trying to sell his way there and profit out of it!!  Roll Eyes

Good, I'm glad the price is dropping again, just in time for pay day.

When Monero is 2000 usd each, you do not care less wether you paid 0.70 usd or 0.60 usd for your Moneros do you.

For any OSX users that need help compiling the latest Monero wallet, I wrote a step-by-step guide here.

You do not have to be an expert or even familiar with the command line, just follow the steps and you'll be using it in no time!

Same shit different day. There is no new money coming, just random bullshit from the same fags like TC and the likes, who continue to pollute what was otherwise a great set of minds speaking. This coin is going nowhere and it is not just because the random fags can't be stifled. It is what it is.

Since you are here, I take it you are a speculator.  Since economical shorts are infeasible, I take it you are long.  Since you deride the coin, I take it you are a buyer, albeit perhaps at a more favorable price.

For the scant price of 1500 bitcoins, it you can buy the entire order book (without going into the ridiculously overpriced portion) and instantly own 1% of all XMR for many decades to come.

A scant 1500 bitcoins to be the next Winklevoss / Crypto-luminati?    Wink Cheesy

Yes, you're going to overpay out of the nose.

But consider the Richter 11.0 earthquake you would cause within the Monero community.   Grin Grin Grin

Actually, I probably better shut the fuck up until I buy as many as I want... 1/1000th is a good goal to be part of the new financial elite, but 1/500 or even 1/250 would be nicer.  Some of you early bitcoin whales might just be stupid enough to do something like this and take Monero forever out of the early speculatory stage.

Still.... if you want to own Monero the time to do so is fucking NOW, before the GUI comes out.  And if you haven't compiled the latest source yet... well, that perpetual database the devs have been working on since 1991 is almost done.

Careful giving advice there. I had this same assumption over a year ago and got slightly burnt, but long term, I should be ok. XMR I believe hast hit ~ 1.60 USD per coin back in like may of 2014, and then sunk as low (?) as .25 USD this past winter, assuming my memory serves me well.

I can safely say that if Monero hasn't taken off in 3 years or so, then the distribution may be too flawed to continue (80% premine before the public finds out about it).

In that case, Boolberry might make a nice back up plan.

Hi Mr. Pegasus, I've heard that you have certain standing on reddit so I won't just disregard your statement out of hand...

But, seriously? How does Boolberry offer anything resembling a "back up plan" ?

I think he's referring to the BBR distribution schedule being 1/2 the speed of XMR (sort of true, but does not factor in the tail reward).

I kind of doubt that is significant. After all, if distribution is problematic after 4 years, why would BBR's not be equally problematic after 8 years? I just don't see 2x as being hugely different.

Still.... if you want to own Monero the time to do so is fucking NOW, before the GUI comes out.

Well it's just wild speculation.  I don't know much about Boolberry other than it's distribution curve is twice as slow as Monero's.

So let's assume that it's not 2015 anymore, but 2019 and for some reason Monero encountered a massive/unforseen stumbling block, yet cryptonote is still a valid way to implement a global private ledger.  Boolberry would be perceived as having a fairer distribution curve (early adopters not rewarded as much) and may make a nice fallback.

Remember the important thing is not that we get rich, but that the world moves to a global private ledger, ideally based on Cryptonote.

Now, bear in mind I am 100% in Monero with every dime I own so you should know where my current "bet" lies.  I think we are going to see some serious cosmic inflation to the Monero universe as we approach 2018, but I could be wrong.  It always behoves us to think big picture.
