Congratulations CryptoNote friends!

I think the meaning of this Tweet is obvious:

https://twitter.com/cryptsy/status/631672049631629312

@BBRcurrency We will be listing at least one CryptoNote coin this week. 2.0 integrations in general have been slow for us. But not anymore

"We will be listing at least one CryptoNote coin this week" surely must mean Monero

Please thank me for sharing the news by following my Twitter account.

Not to be negative, but after the internet journalist from whatever bogus site spoke out regarding sketchy activity and forced articles I wouldn't be surprised to see BCN listed there after supplying a fat consideration bonus.

Either you own the bitcoins(private keys) or you don't. However with moneroj, nobody knows what you own.

I'd guess you're correct, since there were some cryptsy folk in #monero-dev asking for help/suggestions with operating rpc wallet/daemon.

I doubt it will be BCN, it only has some volume on HitBTC, a shady (probably scam) exchange.

And also because what jwinterm says, although I've heard about Cryptsy trading Monero since like the beginning of the coin but whatever.

I don't even like Cryptsy, as most of the altcoin scams happened there, but hey it will increase the number of places where Monero can be traded.

Glad to hear that. I felt bad after accidentally briefly spreading false rumors a short while back after being approached by a fake Cryptsy account @crpytsy account on Twitter:
https://twitter.com/cryptsy/status/629043318714986496
Luckily I figured it out quickly (after an XMR community member questioned the legitimacy of the direct messages I received) and never paid the scammer for a listing.

I think this time it is really true! For sure we know its from the real @cryptsy account!

That would be a great way to piss off a real community in favour of a non-existent one. Not a good move.

Also, Monero is the highest Cryptonote on their voting list. It wouldn't make sense for them to bypass XMR in view of the number of votes that have been counted.

I think it's pretty obvious Monero will be added to Cryptsy this week.

I don't even like Cryptsy, as most of the altcoin scams happened there, but hey it will increase the number of places where Monero can be traded.

I also will not trade in Cryptsy after they stole some coins - however, I do not know if they have returned them already - let's give them the benefit of a doubt.
I have not been logged in my account pretty much in 1-2 years, not even remember the password there.

However, exactly the increased liquidity is the bonus that Monero gets. I do not know how much it can be seen in the price but I am sure it has some effect. But not something we should pump Monero like folks did when it was listed in Mintpal.

Has the lower bound of the trend channel risen from 0.00205 or is it still there?
I think the uptrend continues and there will be a good opportunity now to start accumulation as we are pretty close to the low bound - being it still at 0.00205 or higher - we are not that far from it.
I am waiting for my btc to be credited into Polo and putting a buy order or a few smaller buy orders to see if they get dumped upon - and if not, then I will marketbuy.

You can estimate for yourself in Polo charts by setting the length to 2 months, resolution to daily, and holding a ruler to connect the dump-wicks from that period. (Of course a million more ways to do it, including the using of volume-weighted averages which I also do).

I'd say it is about 208 now. There is a wall @ 210, which seems to be ready to capture the attempt to fall to the low trend line.

VWDA does not paint such a dramatic picture of the situation - the highest last week was 259, the lowest now 232. It is only -10% dudes, very hard to make serious profit with a serious position size...

I don't know the cause for the sudden surge, but the cause for the decline might be related to ETH. ETH is not going away, but I don't believe it would seriously eat "our" investorbase, it would be like saying that the surge in preprinted contract forms sales hurts the sales of fine cognac.

Yes I also got it somewhere 0.0021 environment.
If you sold when I told to sell, probably now is a good time to start buying back slowly slowly keeping in mind that it might be too early to do so if the trend breaks. Buying max 1000 XMR at one time makes it sure you make some XMR. In dollars we are not indeed speaking about large amounts. However, if XMR goes to the Moon (not even 10 000 USD/XMR is considered as Moon landing since the potential is clearly out there), it makes difference if you win even 100 XMR and hold the profits long enough.

ETH clearly ate tons of Monero holders and the dumps were probably due to people running after ETH. However, at some point the Etherium waves start to calm down and then people will lose their interest in Etherium (at least partially if not completely) and then it is time to bring them back to home to Daddy.  Grin

Most investors in Poloniex are actually traders who buy low and sell high so they are pretty bi-polar in their positions (at least I assume so).

Obviously. The one who buys the last coins before the crash will lose the most.
I feel sorry for all the pepole who are participating the ETH rally since I know how it will end for sure.
Some people might lose a lot of money and the faster they rush to Monero, the better it will be for them.
The problem is Monero is pretty explosive and even 10 btc marketbuy (less than 3 000 usd) makes the coin to fly - imagine several of those flowing in a row.
I think in the coming days/weeks we might see some bigger buys entering to the markets.

My goal for this year is to reach 10 usd/xmr - even to touch that price. Next year 100 usd and having 10 usd/xmr a rock bottom after that.
The year is turning towards its end and we still have a few months time before that. I think the price will rise in a mature way until 5-6 usd and then in a few days spike to 10 usd if 10 usd happens in this rally. If we touch 10 usd, for me 1-2 usd/xmr is definetely a new buying zone and once we touch it again and possible fly all the way to 100 usd/xmr I will rise my buying zone by one order of magnitude.

At the bottom of this image Mullick states "Will get this up ASAP" so its definitely Monero  Grin

I have a feeling cryptsy are kicking themselves for not adding XMR sooner. Since Polo was the only exchange they have gained a lot of market share in the space. I can almost guarantee that ETH wouldn't have had 5000 BTC volume if Cryptsy added XMR earlier. The cryptsy team has let Polo gain too much market share and now they (maybe) have to try and make up for it
