If XMR stays perfectly fungible, then we have a serious contender for a great store of value on our hands.  People who risk big early may be massive winners in the long run.

If you are a long term bitcoin-holder and believe Monero will do fine in the future (with probability high enough), then the following might suit for you:

1) Put aside the bitcoins you want to sell at the next btc ATH. Consider also how many bitcoins you want to sell for buying back later when the rally is over.
2) All the rest into XMR
3) Enjoy the ride and tell others to join in also.  Grin
4) Become a millionaire, billionaire, trillionaire etc

However, as I said, this is a plan which works the best when everything goes as planned. If everything doesn't go as planned, this is pretty risky business. If Monero fails, the only ones that are going to buy Moneros are those few shorters who happen to have some open positions.

I am a big believer in both BTC and XMR

However I don't think it is ever a good idea to put all your eggs in one or two baskets

Diversification seems like a better approach.

I have very little btc (only some I am lending in Polo for traders + some dust in my wallet).
So I am not a big believer of bitcoin despite I think it will be a decent investment still. However, I believe Monero is even better so that's why I am invested more heavily in xmr.

Besides this, I have a few appartments that I am renting out. In stock markets I am not currently as I feel they have risen too much way too fast.
Also I own shares from a couple start-ups so I am not putting all my eggs into one basket but I have to admit I like Monero very much though.

I hope nobody was in that car when the Monero train hit it.

XMR prices seem to be on an upward trend over the last 24 hours or so.

Maybe people who are worried about the BTC 1MB blocksize limit will notice that XMR has no hard coded cap.

Monero is built not just to be fungible. It is built to scale

Might I interfere to your musings, I'd propose a diversification of a portion from 1:3 to 1:5 or more of the BTC:XMR you have. I expect that in the case that it fulfills its destiny, the most possible scenario for the price for XMR would be something like that. If you expect though 1:1 price then the above suggestion may be the perfect choice for you! Smiley

I assume he meant the ratio to be based on current (fiat) value.

Around 9,5k of incredibly well priced xmr left. Opportunities like these are slimming down.

Would be a good play to rollover some ltc/nmc/ppc profits into xmr right now before the ano-cycle kicks off again.

And it's gone... Must be some barracuda's in the water today.

Anybody here likes a nice triangle? We just broke out of the downtrend on the daily on (so far) moderate volume:

First major historical resistance at 24, 2nd at 28 and then ready to slam in against 37. Let's see if this rally matures tho, we need a little more volume confirmation. I actually witnessed more than usual numbers of requests for OTC-trades lately, so i'm counting on it.

Personally wouldn't be suprised to surpass the previous high of 42 later this/next month, although the resistance is gonna be substantial. If the conditions are right the bulls could carry this one even to north of 54 or (caution, bold prediction incomingeven the 72-77 region

Don't quit your dayjobs tho kids, happy trading!

Likely there are many holding over the past year looking to exit a good portion of their positions and recoup fiat value along that way. We'll see what the resistance is like.

If you held on to this for over a year, even during the 2 declines (0.0051-0.00097 and 0.0043-0.00168), you won't sell if it goes back up but rather hodl. Furthermore, you had plenty of occasions to sell.

I think this photo might just be the best thing I've ever seen you contribute to this thread. Well done sir!

Seriously though I expected Monero to drop in relation to bitcoin after the rally, staying stable compared to USD. It's very nice to watch Monero rally against bitcoin while bitcoin rallies against the dollar.

Edit: WHOA! Spoke too soon?

Thank you.
As this is a speculation thread, many also appreciates my predictions on price movements as the price tends to follow me.  Grin
I think I have been wrong with my speculation 1 or two times (max). Usually I get angry trolls spitting on me who typically have longer history than me but they may not be right if they speculate.  Grin

I am not planning to write much on the main thread as that sort of commenting is not my field of speciality. I prefer this thread as making money and helping others to make money also is more my way.

XMR breaking out, bid side still pretty low and lol the guys who were selling it down in to zero bids.

It seems the guy with 14k wall is scaring everyone to sell in to his bids.

Would be epic if some buys it all and fucks him over.

Talking about a firestarter... If this 20btc wall goes down, it will unleash the bullcannons. We will have full volume confirmation of a new bullcycle.

There are open short positions (inside knowledge as I am the lender).
That should tamper any larger dumps.
That's exactly why the short positions are essential in effective markets. It creates stability which is one thing the crypto lacks and it will drive many people far from crypto obviously.
