Forty-seven percent of Bangladeshi Muslims said that suicide bombing and other forms of violence against civilian targets could be justified to defend Islam from an enemy (compared to Malaysia at 18%, Indonesia at 9% and Pakistan at 3%).

Those figures seems rubbish to me. Bangladesh at 47% and Pakistan at 3%? I have been to Bangladesh, although I am yet to visit Pakistan. Bangladesh is one of the most liberal Islamic nations, despite the extreme poverty and almost limitless Wahhabi funding from both Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Less than 10% of the population supports radical extremists there, compared to 70-80% in Pakistan.

Well Bryant, I guess it doesn't matter what you think.  You can't quote anecdotal beliefs of your own against the survey.  Maybe find a different survey?  Some other type of contrary evidence?  I'm not claiming it's right or wrong, just that I can't take your personal view as Truth.

No more than I accept Zakir's personal view as Truth.

Gatestone Institute lol, isn't that the same "non-partisan" thinktank that hosted an event with Islamophobic nutcase Geert Wilders, a guy who worked with France's Nazi-supporting idiot Mare Le Pen (National Front).

Quote
In 2005, Jean-Marie Le Pen wrote in the far-right weekly magazine Rivarol that the German occupation of France "was not particularly inhumane, even if there were a few blunders.

That 47% statistic is about as fair and balanced as Fox News...

Have you got any evidence to support your claim of "fake polls"?

If you haven't, I'm more inclined to believe the info from the Pew Research Center than the Gatestone Institute, a thinktank chaired by the that warmongering idiot John Bolton.

Have fun reading the comments of people not fans of creationists on this thread. Not really charming. But I bet it will not matter to you as, in this case, the other thread is freedom of speech. But not this one.

Why is this? No need to answer. We both know why...

MUSLIM MOB Beats Christian, Threatens to Torch Homes After Holy Koran Is Desectrated

Protests erupted in Pakistan after a mentally unstable Christian man reportedly was seen burning pages from a holy Koran (Quran). Razarumi Humayun was charged under Section 295-B. He’s being kept at the Gulshan Ravi Police Station.
Christians in Pakistan reported:

It has been reported that violent clashes erupted in DhoopSari, a densely populated Christian Colony of the Gulshan Ravi area after a middle aged Christian man allegedly burnt the Holy Quran.

Humayun Faisal was beaten up and taken to the local police station where he was charged under the 295c. He is also reported to be mentally unstable.

As the news of the desecration spread a mob of 200-300 people from the neighboring area gathered to protest against the accused. Local Christian residents of the area also reported that the mob wanted to burn down their homes.

Timely intervention by the police saved the lives of many innocent which could have been lost if the mob did not stop protesting.

@Wilikon Let's take for example what happened in Charlie hebdo .
Charlie Hebdo drawers insulted the son of the ex-president of France on their draws , then BOOM . the Director became without a job then ... they insult the prophet of muslims who is the leader of billions and billions of people and it suddenly became "freedom of speech" and no one should do anything about it . It just dosen't make sense and will never be . yes "Conspiracy theories" It's not theories for me because I know what Intelligence agencies do to make Islam look bad .

All they do is making groups of terrorists that kills by the name of the religion . They make the leaders and they recruit fucked up extremist who don't know a single shit about religion . that prooves why the half if not more are from Europeans or Americans because they don't know anything about the religion and they converted recently unlike the others who read about islam from their birth . so yeah ...
But all it's not working and I don't see why they keep doing it to be honest , Islam is spreading more and more then ever .

Well now isn't that nice.

I wonder what percentage of Americans think "violence against civilians" could be justified sometimes. At first, you might think that the answer would be a very, very small percentage would ever agree that violence against civilians is ever OK, after all, we're the good guys and we just won't stand for that. That's what gives us the moral superiority to judge other nations for having such a barbaric outlook towards civilians. But then you look at our historical attitude towards it, and I bet we're a lot closer to the contemporary 28% of Egypt than you would think at first glance. After all, there was not a big outcry against the firebombing techniques the US used in WWII that killed thousands of civilians in Europe. The ends justified the means; had to get those damn Nazis to surrender. And many Americans still support the decision to drop the atomic bombs, which wiped out tens of thousands of civilians each. But those Japs started it anyway with a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, so they got what they deserved! And today, there is not a big backlash against the use of drones by the US military that kills scores of civilians on a continual basis. This is not a great secret, yet most of America is pretty meh about stopping a program that has a horrific track record of civilian deaths over a prolonged period of time. So it seems a large portion of the US population would agree that violence against civilians is sometimes justified.

People who live in glass houses, and all that...

@Madness pointing at something you believe is wrong doesn't make something else less wrong. Am I using this thread to link isis and your belief (if you are muslim) in this thread? No. In your head, yes. It seems, to you, pointing to victims like I did in this thread (post #2) was wrong to even mention it. You seem to believe because I am not pointing to other cases you believe are wrong, and could very well be unjust, is proof I condone those other cases. Wrong again. Did you care what the tutsi and the hutu did to each other? Yes? Then good for you. Should I believe you are a racist because you answer would have been no instead? Certainly not.

See how that work or do you need a better explanation in french or spanish?
