For this case, the people who are playing on this table/casino is stupid. You want to know why?
- Random/Uknown Casino
- Shitty scanner
- Bad mic & video
- Huge card? what the f*ck is that.

I totally agree with that assessment. I myself am very picky about where I play and which casinos I trust. And just from a single glance at the unprofessional quality of the entire setup there are many warning signs that people should have picked up on before even joining the table. Next time they should pick a trustworthy, provably audited casino with a long and outstanding reputation.

This is basically the gamblers equivalent of falling for the Indian tech support scam. Do a little research, otherwise your money is not all that important to you and you should not whine about getting scammed if you ignore the red flags. Roll Eyes

Does MMA Have A Gambling Problem?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BK2zv1DjkAQ

in every broadcast of the fight, MMA experts the likes of Jon Anik and DC provides analysis of what happen and who they thought won the round while odds are also flashed sponsored by sportsbookie like Draftkings.  the video take a closer look at the relationship between gambling and combat sports to see what lies ahead for mixed martial arts while MMA sports becomes popular like boxing.

a lot of things said including the histoy how boxing and MMA started. i actually learn fighters, the team and even their family members are not allowed to bet on UFC bouts, i think was part of the code of conduct. because the general public now trust the system where there are no mafia or corruptions like rigged fights. will MMA have a gambling problem?

I see no problem with the MMA gambling connections.

I believe that the problem is not really gambling in of itself, but rather the problematic people it attracts. For example, as you have already mentioned, there is a lot of crime and corruption within gambling, and some shady casino owners do not mind capitalizing on that, as long as they can get some extra profit. Its in human nature to be greedy and everyone has their own varying degrees of greed. Shady people do not shy away from using addiction and even creating addiction in people.

But again, these are all outside problems. Anyone with a rotten mind and heart will be rotten, even if they were selling medicine or apples. It does not matter. That does not cast a bad light on the MMA in my eyes.

When we were bouncing around at $18K I was telling myself that I think the next leg down will be the one to buy.  As we dip into the 15's I can't help but think this is the dip people have been waiting for.  There's still a ton of uncertainty and even more bad news on the horizon, but I think we've gone low enough in the short term (once this Genesis stuff is cleared up).  I think we're likely to start seeing a runup before the halving soon, with a small crash as we go into the halving and people cash out profits, followed by the start of the next bull run.  That's how it's gone in the past anyway.

yeah we are good to go here maybe we never drop to 14.9k or less.

I would not mind hodling through another dip. Monthly candle says December will probably be red again. Monthly RSI nowhere near oversold either.

2004  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What does Proof of Reserves mean and... on: November 22, 2022, 06:48:46 PM
how will it affect anyone's decision to invest in crypto?

Proof of Reserves
Also known as Proof of Funds, Proof-of-reserves is a way to allow customers to monitor the balances of an exchange.1

This is an important step for the exchanges in order to keep their customers ' and investors' faith alive in crypto. This will make lots of things transparent about many crypto exchanges and will also weed out various bad actors who had been hiding their deeds since long time.

What is your take on this as an investor in crypto?
Will it add any impact on your decision to get into crypto or stay away from it?

1. Source

I think the exchanges are desperate to keep their clients during such turbulent time during which people are becoming less and less trusting of centralized exchanges. So obviously, nobody will really trust in this new "proof of reserves" marketing PR coming from the exchanges. If they want to screw people over, they will. And it does not matter how much good-will PR they post on their social medias.

Its time to step away from CEXes and just let them die. They undermine everything crypto (and especially Bitcoin) stands for.

I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.

I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

I know what you mean. Nobody expected Saudi Arabia to gain the upper hand over Argentina. But moments like these do happen, rarely, but they do happen. Just like when Germany scored 7 goals against Brasil. You would have thought that there was no way Brasil would have been such an easy win, but it was one. Whenever one of these "miracles" happen, I usually think to myself: Perhaps these matches are fixed?

But in the end we have to accept our losses over these freak events and move on with our lives.

Better luck next time! Grin
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling unethical? on: November 22, 2022, 01:40:09 PM
I think its strange how religious people tend to shame themselves over things that should not make them feel ashamed. I am not religious and from my own unique perspective, all this negativity seems to be in your own head. Asking yourself is something ethical can make you go crazy, especially if you have a rigid view of the world. But then again, is anything ethical? Is paying tax ethical, if you live in a country that uses your tax money to pay for things that go against your religion? Like capital punishment? Or is buying food from Nestle ethical, knowing they exploit children in third world countries?

At some point you realize that most things are not ethical from a religious moral perspective.
2007  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: November 22, 2022, 12:12:32 AM
People are waiting to buy lower, but what if you're wrong and this is the bottom?

You never know what's going to happen next.

Waiting to buy lower is a newbie tactic which will almost always make you miss out on the pump and lose money. Its been tried many many times and any veteran trader would advise against this kind of thoughtless tactic.

The best strategy (From my own subjective perspective) would be to DCA each dip. I for example would DCA the next weekly bottom (which has yet to show itself, I believe).

But you can also DCA every daily dip or even every hourly dip.

From my experience 3-4 consecutive dips are the norm before we see a bull market again on the weekly. I would guess to wager that this current dip might be the last of pre-last.

As we know, the digital world is becoming more and more implemented in our lives, payment systems also bitcoin BTC and other altcoins are becoming very popular and the youth are in agreement with it. Therefore I am looking for a team to be able to develop ideas and implement them into reality.
Especially people with entrepreneurial visions who are experts in cryptocurrencies and the blockchain, in order to create a solid team and change the world.

The project is about the Internet Listing Service,or ILS an online real estate search database, showing properties and units that are for rent or sale.
What we could do to improve that system? Implementing just sales, buys and trades via crypto.

Thats is just a tinny part for the startup project!
If you are a crypto programmer or a cyptomaniac feel free to private message me and join us for this ride

Respectfully Riqo

Greetings Rigo and welcome to the world of crypto project development!

I do not want to sound negative or bring down your mood but before you start looking for people for a project you need to make your pitch convincing. Otherwise why would anyone be interested in joining in this campaign? Imagine yourself in the shoes of the opposite side. Why would you join this project?

The first question that would be good to ask yourself is: Why does your project need blockchain or crypto? Can it be done without? What are the use cases? How much funding are you working with? What are your experiences with starting crypto projects?

If these questions are hard to answer then you will find that people will not be interested in joining your team.
2010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambling addict? on: November 21, 2022, 10:37:08 AM
Personally, I do not think I am an gambling addict. I know a lot of addicts say that but you cannot really call everyone who denies gambling addiction an addict in denial. I go by facts. And fact is that I gamble maybe once or at most twice a week and never large sums of money. So does that constitute an addiction? I do not think so.

Realistically, how many of gamblers become addicted? I do not think its a very large or even significant number. Maybe 10% at most. If anyone knows a good source for statistics of gambling addiction then I would love to learn more. Feel free to provide a link to the source (as long as it is scientifically sound and not just some random website with statistics with no references)

2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: November 21, 2022, 09:41:30 AM
There's a discussion here about a call to make it mandatory for gambling sites to show proof of money they are holding in reserves because of what happened on FTX.

Running a casino during crypto crash

 - Do you think The Gambling Industry Is Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market?
 - Will the industry lose the trust of gamblers if one or two casinos scammed their players by closing down and running with what
money they have that belongs to the gamblers?
  - As a gambler do you use gambling sites to store your coins like what traders are doing on exchanges?
  - What would gamblers think if a casino does not agree to show proof of money from new and old casinos

Not sure how connected and how massive the market of crypto casino gambling is, but I should think it is quite a significant number. And by being interconnected to crypto it obviously means that if anything bad happens to the crypto market, this will reflect on the crypto gambling market. And the other way around is just as true. If you trust your casino then its the same as trusting your exchange. Not 100% secure but better than nothing.

I think decentralized gambling and web 3.0 will be the future for us gamblers. I do not want to trust ANY third party with my money and I want a provably fair and transparent system.

However, for now, at least proof of money would be a nice gesture for casinos to show their players a signal of honesty.

2013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: November 20, 2022, 06:53:56 PM
My BTC savings have lost much value this month, and I know why. We all know. It's the FTX's debacle. Some say it's doomsday for cryptos, but it isn't. There's nothing wrong with BTC. What's wrong is that one crook has stolen honest people's money to make shady investments.

There's only one solution to restore people's confidence. Put the bad guy in jail for a long, long time.

It would seem that the rich do not go to jail, no matter how much money they steal as long as they are not stealing from the government. The CEO of the Luna scam obviously did not go to jail. He might be in hiding but if the government really wanted to put him in jail, they would have found him already. Same goes for Bankman. Either he was working together with the government or he paid off the government and is now enjoying life somewhere on some island.

Justice will obviously not reach him.

The only punishment he will receive is if the people he stole from decided to inflict mob justice on him. But the world has turned so soft, I doubt anyone will want to do that. Its a great age to be a scammer.
2014  Economy / Gambling / Re: Selling Online Crypto Casino on: November 20, 2022, 06:19:56 PM
It seems like lots of people here are Idiots and dont know how casinos work.
No im not rigging it and no, im not a scammer. You are just Gambling addicts who think that you have a chance at winning.

Wow. And you think anybody is going to take you up on your offer? You are obviously a grifter trying to trick people into buying your scam. Whatever you are offering, I will have to decline.

Furthermore, I am strictly warning everyone not to participate in OP's charade. If you want to own a casino, you need to put in the hard work yourself. There are no shortcuts in such a business. Buying finished "casinos" (especially from random newbie accounts) will result in you in downloading some malware/viruses which will without a doubt try to subvert your efforts, steal your and your clients money and do further damage.

STAY AWAY
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running a casino during crypto crash on: November 20, 2022, 05:52:35 PM
Hello guys, as an attempt to protect new or old users on this forum , I think its mandatory for gambling sites to show proof of money they are holding in reserves  . Unless casinos converts all deposits to a stablecoin , excluding UST hahahah , from year to date most of them should be running on a loss as most utilized crypto coins are down by atleast 65% and that includes Bitcoin .

There will be more and more accusations  created to existing and also new casinos.

Goodluck,Be safe and smart out there!!

I think if the gambling casinos did not have as much funds as they claim, we would have started seeing people complaining about not being able to withdraw, in other words, the casinos would just freeze withdrawals because there would not be anything for the players to cash out. As far as the old, most reputable casinos are concerned, they would never be dumb enough or greedy enough to try something as foolish as faking funds.

This is something only greedy owners of bad exchanges do. They lend money they do not have to people that will never be able to pay it back. And once people start withdrawing, they start making excuses. Up until the point the truth comes out.

It never ends pretty.

It will be a sad day indeed when my favorite website gets bought by that egomaniac. He will without a doubt not understand how this forum was created and our culture and morals. He will definitely ruin it. But then again this is all hypothetical. He has not declared anything about buying Bitcointalk nor any other forum websites. And I do not see why he would. Hopefully we will be left in peace from Elon Musk or any other people like him.
2017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 18, 2022, 03:27:11 PM
Is it possible to stick with free spins on online casinos and still be able to make some good reward?

I am looking into the free side of things, no risk at all with free spins but the question is has anyone ever make something out of free spins before? Something reasonable at?

The last time I earned something free from gambling websites was when BTC has very low value and many faucets still run, that's couple of years back.

Of course you can. But by being free, obviously winning is going to be a very hard thing to do. Otherwise the casino would go broke from all the people winning from free spins. In and of itself free spins are just marketing tactics to get you to play on their online gambling platform. Once you have "tasted" their casino experience, chances are that you might want to stay and play some more. Except, of course, this time not for free but with actual money. Thats the point at which they make profit.

But free spins are still quite fun and are obviously part of the entire crypto casino gambling experience. So I am all for it. However I have yet to win anything.
2018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: November 17, 2022, 10:36:54 PM
I知 playing same set of games on different casino not just to get the bonuses of each casino but also to have a different mood of my mind set. It really helps me to calm down and focus whenever I知 losing big time on one casino. It also helps me to not chase my previous losses because I think about it as fresh start.

With this regular routine, I notice that I have a specific casino that I知 always winning despite I知 playing same game that I lose huge amount on the other casino. I do randomly change the sequence of my game on casino and keeps giving me same good result on my personal lucky casino. I highly believe that this luck of mine related on how I feel when playing on that casino. I知 expecting that I will be lucky so my mind is always optimistic whenever I知 playing on it.

Do you have this kind of casino?

I do not really believe in superstitions or things like luck. I choose where to have my gambling experiences based on how comfortable and profitable a online casino seems. I would choose user experience and a good reputation over everything else, anytime.

So thats why I only play on casinos which have been around for a long time and have a large community as well as those casinos which have community programs like bug hunting and good marketing campaigns. I want to feel safe, before I feeling lucky. We are trusting a third party with our funds as well as our government issued documents (for KYC)

So basically trust > luck.
2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to prevent cheating in a game on: November 17, 2022, 09:28:33 PM
As a gambler what prevention measures will you take in other not to cheat on your game that you know a way on cheating to win or will you go ahead and cheat ?

If you want to keep your account from being banned, then do not cheat. Thats the only motivation you need to not cheat.

Why is it in the responsibility of the gambler not to cheat? Surely if there is a way to cheat the game its the sole responsibility of the gambling casino to patch that bug which allows the gamblers to cheat, in the first place?

I am not trying to say that I would cheat, or that cheating is a good thing or that cheating will not get you banned as it goes against the terms of service of almost any online gambling casino that I know of.

I just think its not really up to us, as the gamblers to be the ones who shoulder that responsibility.

Why not just think of your own simple encryption algorithm and write it down like that?
Because it's unlikely you know more than the experts who're studying about encryption algorithms for years.

I do not remember saying that I know more than the experts who study encryption algorithms for years. I do not think I made it sound like that.

What I am saying is that, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't a seed phrase song just a kind of algorithm in itself? That's basically what I meant, because it seems like to me that a song would just be easier to crack if someone knew what to look for? Again, I am not calling myself an algorithm expert. Far from it.

And if you noticed I also said that writing it down, either as an encryption, in a song or plain text is not a good idea. But you must have missed that part of my post.
