2821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: July 18, 2017, 05:07:23 PM
Important guys.
Who has purchased a miner in European Union? Has anyone cleared customs himself without a customs agents? The gang of import agents and couriers keep telling me that I can't do the procedure myself for items that expensive. I can't find any ference of that on the internet.
It is pretty simple, when you have all the necessary information that Fedex for example should give you.
You can ask Bitmain or who ever you are buying from the customs TARIC code.
See your country's customs' web page for more info.

I've had easy time so far using Finnish Customs' e-services. https://tulli.fi/en/e-services

Now when the Antminer D3 comes out in September, Baikal really has to come down with prices  Roll Eyes
2823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anybody knows about "Antminer D3"? on: July 18, 2017, 04:59:29 PM
Did you really have to start a new thread? There is already a one here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2029822.0
2824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: July 18, 2017, 04:56:37 PM

Hopefully they mean DASH and not DSH (DASHcoin), kinda confusing, they got the picture of the DASH logo tho so.. Tongue
I don't think it is for the Dashcoin, because a ASIC device for CryptoNight algorithm should be near impossible to be made.

DASH and X11 algorithm is a different story, we have already seen plenty of ASIC stuff from for example PinIdea, Baikal, Ibelink....

By the way, at the product page there is Antminer L3+ in the picture when you download it and look it closely.
I guess they don't have a prototype for the D3 yet or they just haven't took a picture of it yet.
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: July 18, 2017, 04:02:33 PM
I ordered one.
One thing for sure though is that the difficulty will be rising A LOT, so doing a profitability calculator at the moment is not that accurate when you think about the possible situation in September.
2828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BW.com L21 - Litecoin (scrypt) ASIC miner - unofficial speculation thread on: July 18, 2017, 03:17:41 PM
They told me that the August batch is coming next and to be in contact with them near August.
2829  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: July 18, 2017, 09:06:52 AM
Boys any update on this? When can I buy 761s, sorry getting greedy and anxious.
Need to buy 50 just want to stay away from S9 due to high failure rate
No update, we don't know more than there is public info (code in Github, news, etc. ..)
You could ask Canaan directly, but they most likely won't answer a question about product still in development.
2830  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: July 13, 2017, 08:48:05 PM
Now as there is a long waiting for delivery and varying quality with S9, it is best to go with AvalonMiner 741 or Ebit E9.
2831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia and AMD on single motherboard on: July 13, 2017, 07:38:22 PM
Yes. Nothing stops you using different GPUs in the same MB.
2832  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) Hotmine X5 upgrade kit for Antminer S1/S3/S5 on: July 13, 2017, 02:23:56 PM
C1 has the same hash board form factor, so yeah, it should fit ok.
2833  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Help with Avalon 741 power setup for small farm on: July 11, 2017, 08:21:58 PM
Canaan actually says that AvalonMiner 741 consumes 1150W power at wall, so you are fine with the APW3++ since the load at 12V rail is less.
It can handle the 1200W load at 110V  24h/7/365.
It is a server grade PSU.

I don't know your exact setup and USA electricity standards are not my speciality, but you would be better with 220V (two-pole breaker groups).

2835  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cheapest L3+ , S9 & Baikal Miners Available to Ship from Stock - MinersNow JULY on: July 08, 2017, 11:45:34 PM
Not accepting escrow service and fucked up contact plus other info (which kilo17 found out) are not really things that make you trustworthy.  Roll Eyes
I would stay away of this.

edit: I'll add this big ass red text here:
SCAM ALERT. BE CAREFUL.
2836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asicon Tech Trusted company? on: July 08, 2017, 11:44:15 PM
SCAM.

Don't waste more of your time on this.
2837  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: APW5 PSU by Antminer on: July 08, 2017, 01:10:30 PM
The "more capacity than needed" principle is not the case with server grade psu's.
This APW5 can take the rated max. capacity.

I suggest you have a dedicated 230V 16A circuit for it, so only 1x APW5 connected to that circuit.
2838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pangolinminer on: July 07, 2017, 09:22:13 AM
It is not Bitcoin hardware, start a thread in the altcoin section..
2839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Electricity needs for 35 L3+ miners on: July 06, 2017, 02:52:24 PM
It is always weird when I see a guy who bough miners first and only after then comes the research for knowledge   Huh
It is a crazy way to go.
2840  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S7 Setup [HD] on: July 05, 2017, 02:20:14 PM
MY s7 shows no hash.  All the chips are normal.  Temperature is below 80.

Have you tried resetting it?

See chapter 7.4 here:

Also make sure there is no extra space character after stratum server address or user name.
