So is this coin dead or what???
Why would you think that? Did you do some research?

To answers your question: No it's not dead.

Very much alive. Like trolls on this thread ! ... but that is a small sign of success.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] VeriCoin PoST Currency | [ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve on: October 18, 2016, 11:34:24 PM

This was unintentional

we do find this doubtful...
This was quite obviously a specific unforseen issue which the developers have been quick to identify and work on solutions.  For those who don't know, many other coins including Bitcoin have gone through similar issues with new wallet releases.  Shooting from the hip with accusations is a waste of your energy and my time.

Agreed. Quite satisfactory and glitches are to be expected. Dealt with as fairly as possible.

A bit of accusation or trolling is a good sign. Gets attention, and all publicity is good. Bring on more.

Hmm...Qubitcoin was delisted from Poloniex?  Roll Eyes

Was on over 10 exchanges at one time. It was delisted from everywhere.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Q2C] QubitCoin secure hashing (NEW) Update 0.11.2.1 on: October 16, 2016, 11:03:27 AM
yes, I have already written pm to the person who can do something with it Smiley

ps. network looks really well ..

blocks : 2013391,
connections" : 15,

Yes, I was surprised at the number of connections, even at this early stage of revival.

I was involved with Q2C in 2014, and it was  quite well distributed.  I think it was even traded on over 10 exchanges at one time, so the infrastructure was good. I believe that there are quite a lot of coins which are permanently unavailable to the market, but there is no way of estimating that number.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Q2C] QubitCoin secure hashing (NEW) Update 0.11.2.1 on: October 15, 2016, 11:19:28 PM
i want to purchase some q2c, paying 2 satoshi per coin

Last trade on Nova Exchange was 123 sats, and there have been a lot for more than that, so maybe you need to revise your price !

I will be putting a few bids in on the exchange, hopefully can get some around 120 sats.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] VeriCoin PoST Currency | [ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve on: October 15, 2016, 11:16:05 PM
Hi @Majormax.......my mindset is watching price fluctuations and trading volumes ........ I do my own calculations and look to buy in low, close to the bottom. I find that if I'm close to correct I make A good percentage

of profit ..if I'm wrong it's usually down the drain and dead coin and I'm lucky to get back much of my investment. I watch many threads just to get a feel of what's going on, I sometimes can't help myself when I see

Fanboys hyping something and just fire off a broadside (nobody told me I couldn't have a bit of fun). As for buying more VRC it's getting close to my calculated buy in price

Cheers Jon Cool

OK, thanks for the reply !

I agree about the 'fanboy' comments. You will nearly always get abuse for critical comments. Quite often the real koolaid drinkers cannot distinguish constructive criticism from outright trolling.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Q2C] QubitCoin secure hashing (NEW) Update 0.11.2.1 on: October 15, 2016, 12:42:03 AM
After richlist can be determined with high addresses are mines closed long ago. q2c also had a lot of exchanges, they also were gone along with the coins.

Q2c such Coin Supply as QuarkCoin (QRK)

Interesting to estimate what % of the original remain recoverable. Sounds like only a small proportion.

Also, looking at the richlist, this seems to be a surprisingly well distributed coin, with only 33% in the top 25 addresses. Many small (and not so small) coins have up to 50 % in the top 10, often with 90% in the top 100.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] VeriCoin PoST Currency | [ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve on: October 15, 2016, 12:18:01 AM
Hi @Alben........ You can check my post history...... I never complain about the price/value of anything.....it is what it is..... I don't own any VRC never owned any VRM....I've sold out some time ago(VRC) and am very

happy  with my profit. I do believe that digital currency is here to stay, and that there will be some very smart features introduced at some stage. My bitch is about too many ICO's that promise but never/under

deliver. The majority of Alts have no/limited use apart from trading. As a trader I accept my loss's and try to learn from them, I have never shouted angrily that I need a pump to get out. As for emotional/attachment

issues I care only about profit...if I see a good enough price move I sell everything and move on to the next opportunity....anything else would be madness. Happy trading to all...just don't believe the hype

Cheers Jon  Cool

The trading of alts attracts a lot of new capital over time, with the lure of profit, thus helping distribution of the eventual winners. . What you say is quite logical.. However, there have been or will be in future, a small number of blockchains that thrive and reach real world application status. The coins which still have ongoing development, especially those with a novel structure, are in with a chance, although most will not make it and , as you say, are just trading counters (in hindsight). Traders focussing only on profit are an important part of a liquid market, I would agree, but the big winners will go through a long series of price inflation moves, and it would not be madness to retain some proportion indefinitely. It is hard to predict where evolution goes, and how.

I believe that VRC and VRM are among the shortlist of, perhaps a few dozen that have that possibility. Crypto is , even now, still in its early stages.

Just interested to know trading mindsets : If you dont own any VRC now, what makes you interested in continuing to follow it ?  For myself, once I have sold out of a coin, I dont post on its thread, because there are more than enough new opportunities to investigate.  What might motivate you to buy VRC again ?
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] VeriCoin PoST Currency | [ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve on: October 15, 2016, 12:05:54 AM
VeriCoin 1.6.5.2 is now available via check for update in the help menu or www.vericoin.info

This is a maintenance update that improves syncing speed and reduces number of inputs while staking, for better performance overall but especially on large wallets. Additionally this update further improves staking efficiency. It also adds the new dnsseeder address and improves staking indicators in the user-interface.

Another good step forward, thanks for the update.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] E-CurrencyCoin Thread [CryptoBank Development] on: October 14, 2016, 08:38:53 AM
ok, i added all the changes to the next version that i had planned to with one or two extras. i will post the change log and adjust some version stuff and then put up wallet releases before the weekend

new version will be 2.4.7.2

you must update before November 11th 2016. that is when the min tx fee change goes into affect, this will be the LAST mandatory update for a while. everything past this should be voluntary (this one was supposed to be voluntary until i decided to adjust min_tx_fee)

considering putting in a PoS raise at the same time the min_tx_fee change goes into affect. thoughts?

will also probably be removing some junk files that no longer apply to the coins future dev path.

will announce when the last change before 2.4.7.2 is officially made

made array of updates, decided to make it 2.4.7.3 instead to avoid confusion. please update your source, i will be posting new wallets shortly

Thanks.. looking forward to new wallets.
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SUPERCOIN'S REVIVAL on: October 08, 2016, 08:28:16 PM

I am trying to add to my losses by buying up a bit more. It is all a gamble anyway.

You can buy for 20 Sat on the moment. Bids are 2 Sat for SUPER on CoinExchange.io .

That reflects the trust that the people have in the fairly competent Developers

Had a look at CoinEchange... The cheapest significant (10,000+) amount available was priced at 196 sats.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SUPERCOIN'S REVIVAL on: October 08, 2016, 09:06:15 AM
Is there a good compiled version of the new wallet ?  Having that readily available will help the network a lot, a lot of holders are not providing nodes atm.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SUPERCOIN'S REVIVAL on: October 08, 2016, 08:49:17 AM
Looks like a few bag holders still trying to cut their losses. Give it up guys .... even with a block explorer and a new blockchain there is no use for SUPER. Nobody wants to trade it nor accept it for anything else. Be realistic and face the truth.

True of most alts.

Super is functionally better than most : no coin is ever dead while its blockchain is maintained. The developers here seem fairly competent, and there is no rush.

I am trying to add to my losses by buying up a bit more. It is all a gamble anyway.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SUPERCOIN'S REVIVAL on: October 02, 2016, 11:54:10 PM
@barrysty1e

Be nice to Pro-investor's mummy  Grin

Thanks for the update  Smiley

@Majormax

You're probably right, most (big) holders bought their SUPER when the price was pretty much higher.

You can also try: https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_SUPER/

Thanks. BTW, somebody hit my bid on CoinEx today, so there are a few sellers out there !
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SUPERCOIN'S REVIVAL on: October 02, 2016, 09:41:18 AM
looking to pick up another 261k Super @ 100sats.

PM me if interested.

thanks,
john

Why not just place a buy order at
https://www.coinexchange.io/market/SUPER/BTC
current highest bid is 52sat, so yours would be ~ double

 Cool

There is not enough volume on the exchange atm. I have a bid there for 120k Super at 100 sats, but maybe that is not high enough to tempt a seller.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] VeriCoin PoST Currency | [ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve on: September 28, 2016, 04:47:13 PM
IMO the plan is working. It is positive for price to go lower, eventually more coin will change hands. Good also. Speculators are poison in the short term. My opinion only.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] VeriCoin PoST Currency | [ANN][VRM] Verium PoWT Reserve on: September 28, 2016, 10:00:29 AM
I have not followed this coin at all, did mine some VRM and I wanted to see if buying VRC is good or not but with its current volume looks like it will be removed from polo, any reasons this coin is so heavily devalued ? Can't read through 900pages now.. so I need some short summary of this coin past and future roadmap.

Basically Verium and the lack of attention given to Vericoin has killed it.  If you buy it,  it's like buying a lottery ticket. The future of Vericoin really hasn't been discussed everything is about how Verium helps Vericoin but people don't care about Vericoin right now and there has been no development to Vericoin itself in over a year.  Verium to Vericoin pairing so far has been a major dud that has bought the price of the coin down probably close.  Is it over for Vericoin no BUT it's getting close if they don't inject life in this coin then it's over

I'm not going to disagree with you. It's been very disappointing since our best days of 2014. But a lot of the point of Verium was to raise funds to help pay for VRC marketing. Your contact you set us up with seems to know what he's talking about and we're really looking forward to our conversation with him tomorrow.

Stick with the plan. You have a good vision. Don't be swayed by short term/market considerations... there are plenty of supporters out there who keep quiet, but are following closely.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SUPERCOIN'S REVIVAL on: September 20, 2016, 11:47:50 PM
Hi all,

While i love shilling accounts/trolls hanging shit on supercoin (actin' like they know), it does make me think that a little progress board isnt such a bad idea. Part of the reason that this is taking a while to do, is that there are quite a few separate/large tasks to be achieved before we can even think about launching SuperCoinPlus.

I'm still working on the blockexplorer/chainswap node (nearly done), but I will try and come up with something to give a bit clearer picture on progress later today.

james

Thanks for the update !
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Focus on Crypto Bullion! on: September 17, 2016, 11:16:01 PM

A small investor with 10 BTC could clear that market out and push the cost per CBX to $5 plus.

i think if it happens, CBX value at $5, it will be great and a miracle too.
wow cant wait to see how cbx would be more popular after this value happen i know its been 3 years now and we all still waiting for cbx to be rise to that price and with the new token release im thinking that theres a whale who's trying to control the price and wanted to have more cbx from their bags and earn big when the price rises up.

Yes, this whale seems to be an early investor who wants out for whatever personal reasons: he puts his CBX back for sale everytime price gets close to 60 000 satoshis. We know how much he has - let's just say that we don't need that many people to be rid of this undeserved pressure on CBX, forever.

Problem is, people look at CBX, it looks nice - it's the perfect coin, really, but they are afraid to invest. Everybody is looking at each other - why aren't the others buying CBX? There must be something wrong with CBX, so I will wait. If everybody thinks and acts this way, we get the sluggish market we see today, and CBX does not move.

We need to have some faith and invest with our hearts; if you're going to buy some coin today, buy some CBX! You'll see it won't take long for this whale to be bought off and go away. Next thing we will see is a much higher price, and all the excitement and liquidity from becoming a mainstream coin.

A coin like DOGE with no PoS interest for holding and huge inflation, gets 500 000$ volume on a good day; just one day like that would change CBX forever.

It is just distribution and accessability. Coins traded on large exchanges are more noticable and accessable to investors and speculators. The volume keeps the exchanges interested. Large numbers of holders also make sure there are many people trading with opposing views.

A scarce commodity does not necessarily trade well. There needs to be a lot of supply available to make a good market.

Bittrex asks for 3 BTC for a coin to be listed. Please do not spam Poloniex with requests.

Worth starting a fund for Bittrex ?

The community would soon donate that.
