So how about OKC acquiring a veteran in Gordon Hayward in exchange for 2 future second-round picks,  Tre Mann, Vasilije Micic, and Davis Bertans? Hayward is already past his prime and too injury-prone but maybe he can at least boost the team during the playoffs. It will be very exciting how OKC fares during the playoffs. The team is too inexperienced at that level.

What is most surprising to me is the Lakers are unable to bring another star before the trade deadline. There's still a few days remaining but it's becoming silent so far.

Lakers have little to nothing to offer in return.  They are in a bad spot with 2 aging stars amd little room to trade high value draft picks since the first one they can offer is theor 2029 which no one is interested in.  People probably inquired about DLo but the packages they offered back were probably uninspiring and it's worth Lakers just keeping him.

The Lakers ended up getting Spencer Dinwiddie for free.  They didn't even have to give up DLo and now they get the old teammates back together.  Not a bad move for the Lakers, but I doubt it's enough to get them to the NBA Finals.  It's clear they aren't interested in giving up anything at this point.  LeBron is going to have to pull off a miracle or wait for next season as the Lakers will probably shake up the roster a bit after the season is over and they begin preparing for a post-LeBron era in Los Angeles.

The Hornets are getting beat down as bad as anyone I can remember right now. Down by over 40 in the 4th and they haven’t broke 70 points yet. Good news for the Bucks I guess. Maybe that trade for Pat Bev gave them the fire they needed to start performing as expected. Huge mismatch anyway though.

Edit: You know the game went badly when Thanasis gets a highlight: https://x.com/bleacherreport/status/1756154260767539315
944  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 10, 2024, 12:09:29 AM
Price is dipping. Who isn’t doing their push-ups?!?
945  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think? Lump sum vs DCA best accumulation strategy. on: February 09, 2024, 09:15:59 PM
Lump sum at the bottom is obviously going to provide the best return, but it also has the most risk. It also requires more money. Dollar cost averaging is in my opinion a better strategy because it is less risky and requires less money to start. You’re also more capable of handling downturns and even benefitting from them.
946  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 09, 2024, 06:37:55 PM
Bitcoin is headed to $100,000 and that's not speculation. OK, maybe it is, but the 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K challenge is real and has been echoing throughout the community for a week now, so I thought I would make a thread here for those of us who want to try and hold ourselves accountable.
Bitcoin at $100k is approaching, won’t it take too many months to do push-ups with this situation?

I would agree to another challenge: 100 push-ups a day for 100 sat a day. Smiley

I myself started this challenge on 2/2/24 and hope to inspire other Bitcoiners to take this step to help build some muscle in the community.
Great. But it seems to me that here inspiration would be more effective in influencing the bitcoiners with the help of donations for each (100) push-ups. Smiley It is impossible to imagine the magical BTC effect has on the community. Smiley

I can’t think of a way to distribute 100 sats a day to a bunch of people without spending hundreds of dollars per week on transaction fees, otherwise I’d be happy to do it.

I’m at 740 push ups now. I feel like as the weekend arrives I may have more difficulty remembering to do my push-ups, but I’m going to try.

$48K!!!
947  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 09, 2024, 04:26:28 PM
Og nasty, basically I do 35 to 40 push up a day but today I tried going past that number but I almost broke my waist Lol but however, am gonna continue trying to pass that number but Og Nasty by then my muscles must have added ×2 but it is worth it because looking at the price of Bitcoin as at now it's $46,187 and from how it's been moving faster since yesterday, it's very obvious that $100k can be obtainable hence it should be something that should boost everyone's morale and confidence spirit to be part of this challenge.

I think I've got a new task now to fulfill each day but Og Nasty if I break my waist be ready to take me to the hospital Lol!

I might be right there with you.  I can't say I've experienced any waist pain yet, but my elbow is feeling the pain a bit.  I broke it last summer and it was out of commission for a couple months but I thought I'd rehabilitated it enough to be good as new.  Apparently not as I can definitely feel it now.  I'm going to push through it though and see how it goes.  As long as I don't need pain meds to function, I'll stick with it.
Today's push-ups seem like they're going to be a bit of a challenge, but I'll get through them as if Bitcoin's rally depends on it.  $47K!
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 09, 2024, 04:17:18 PM
Today I went with a parlay that is probably the worst odds I've ever bet on.  I picked the Celtics to beat the Wizards and the Bucks to beat the Hornets.  Honestly though, the odds, even as a multi-bet, are not worth making the bet.  It's more for fun than anything else.  It's actually sort of dumb to even make a bet like this.  Even though it is very likely to win, it's never the greatest idea to bet a dollar to win a dime.  Especially when multiple games have to go your way to win.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 09, 2024, 08:53:52 AM
I can’t believe that Shams is reporting the Grizzlies waived Victor Oladipo. He was a max player carrying teams a few years ago. Injuries really cut his career short. I didn’t expect when they traded for him that he would end up being nothing more than a salary dump. He seemed like a decent piece to have in place of Ja.
950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just bought FBTC in my 401k. First time ever holding crypto for retirement. on: February 09, 2024, 06:03:16 AM
What made you choose Fidelity over Blackrock? I also invested in FBTC using a retirement account. The reason I decided to go with Fidelity over Blackrock was that I liked the idea Fidelity wasn’t using Coinbase for custody like everyone else. If I owned stock in Coinbase or Blackrock though I would’ve gone with their offering.
951  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tucker Interviews Putin on: February 09, 2024, 03:16:37 AM
After watching the interview, I can say that I wish they talked more about the woke mind virus and covid, but instead it watched like a history lesson. He didn’t say anything that I think most people didn’t already know and nothing struck me as controversial. He made specific arguments and seemed very reasonable. I doubt this interview changes anything though. The only part I really found fascinating was the two minutes Putin talked about the American dollar and the mistakes our government has made with it.
952  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 09, 2024, 12:51:17 AM
OgNasty this challenge is pretty much painful but no one forced me so it's on me.  Cool

We’re all feeling the pain together brother but I think if we fight through it we’ll be glad we did. I’m not a doctor though so if you blow out your shoulder then this thread never existed. Smiley

I just hit the 666 push-up mark and decided it was a good time to take a break and eat some pizza while I take in this Tucker Carlson interview with Vladimir Putin.
953  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Evga Hybrids a 3080 and a 3080ti on: February 08, 2024, 09:19:00 PM
Very tempting as I'm in the market for a new graphics card but I may be too cheap to spring for the hybrid model even though liquid cooling kicks ass.  Any chance you're interested in a trade for some goods or another miner?  I still have that Antminer S17 Pro or a pile of silver that I'd love to entice you with.  If not, no worries.  I totally understand.  Just thought I'd toss it out there that I'm interested in case one of those trades might tickle your fancy.  Good luck with the sale.  I'm sure it will go smoothly for you.
954  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: VanitySearch (Yet another address prefix finder) on: February 08, 2024, 09:07:04 PM
Does anybody have or had a GPU mining rig? And I wonder if any of you with lots of hashing power had tried to generate a Vanity bitcoin address via VanitySearch? I'm talking about those who have at least tens of GPUs or in the best case, hundreds of them. I also wonder if any of you have tried to generate a Vanity address by using powerful AWS servers? Is it possible to direct hashrates rented on Nicehash to generate a vanity Bitcoin address? I know my sentences are full of questions but I'm really curious. If you have tried none of them above, at least what's the longest Vanity address that you have generated?

I have a few GPU mining rigs and have used them to generate vanity addresses for my Minted Seats coins that I engrave and sell to supporters.  At one point I think I was running 5 GPUs for a period of several years.  The longest vanity address I ever generated was probably one of the 1NastyFans addresses I've made or maybe one of the addresses for my Mythical Creatures coin set.  More impressive though is that I used vanity addresses to generate sequential addresses for my coins.  Hundreds of different addresses in order starting with for example: 1Nasty__.  It took quite a bit of time to get a 9 digit (10 if you count the 1) vanity address, and even the 8 digit vanities, but 7 digits are pretty easy to get.
955  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 08, 2024, 09:00:20 PM

Must...Stop...Watching...The...Price...  There's push-ups to be done!

Seriously though, I get nervous when I get this excited.  I'm always worried that my emotions are giving me the top signal.  This time is different though (nobody quote this later).  It seems like this is the earliest in the cycle I've ever gotten this excited about Bitcoin's rise in price.  The charts also show historically there is one more dip before the boom so there's reason for caution.  I can't help but feel like the FTX debacle left the market so depressed that we may be seeing an early launch this time around though.  Either way, I think we all know that there will be a new BTC ATH in the next year or so and once that breaks it is off to the races.  Imagine how crazy it is going to be when Bitcoin goes up more than $10K in a single day.  I think that's coming sometime over the next 18 months.
956  Economy / Reputation / Re: OGNasty back from his ban (Latest lie: Jan 24, 2024) on: February 08, 2024, 08:46:58 PM
call LoyceV a liar for what he’s said about me stealing BTC from the treasury.
Stop making thing up about me. If you can't find a link to prove it, it's safe to assume it only happened in your head.

You would be wise to take your own advice.  So you're now admitting I didn't steal 7 BTC and you include people in your trust network that make this claim in negative trust ratings that they attribute to you?  If someone was leaving someone else a negative trust rating based on lies they were attributing to me I wouldn't include them in my trust network, but I'm not a dishonorable bitch like you are.  Anyone can research that you support the extortion attempts of me being made via the trust network.  You're absolutely a pathetic excuse for a man and I have no problem saying it.  I don't respect liars or bitches who hide behind others to do their dirty work, especially ones who stand behind the mentally ill and use them as a human shield.  Grow a pair.
957  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Wallet with lost password 12k BTC FOR SALE on: February 08, 2024, 08:38:47 PM
This is a scam as old as Bitcoin.  I think there's even a free website out there that lets you download a wallet with a ton of BTC in it if you want to try to crack the password.  Please don't anyone fall for this scam.  It is possible to secure a Bitcoin wallet with a password that is harder to crack than the private key itself.  The odds are basically zero that anyone will ever crack the password of a wallet that is being sold.  Most likely this wallet has been sold hundreds of times to ignorant people over the years.  Do not fall for it.  This wallet will never be cracked.
958  Economy / Economics / Re: Tech Layoffs on: February 08, 2024, 08:29:39 PM
I think the tech layoffs are a concern for the economy because most of these individuals are young and rent expensive apartments, lease expensive cars, buy ridiculously priced clothes and food...  Then suddenly they get laid off and it's unemployment.  High end retailers, apartment buildings, foreign cars...  I would think sales of all those things would take a pretty big hit as the cash flow stops pouring in.  It remains to be seen how widespread this crisis will get, but if we're in for a repeat of 2008 it would be wise for everyone to start tightening their belt as if they were the ones who just got laid off.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 08, 2024, 08:27:09 PM
Hello everyone!

Recently, I was thinking about the concept of luck in my life and how lucky I am. And I wondered how other people, especially gamblers, perceive this concept.

It would be interesting to read your thoughts.

You can answer these questions, for example:

  • Do you believe in Luck? If so, how do you describe your perception of this concept?
  • How lucky do you think you are from 1 to 10?
  • Does your sense of luck in regular life correlate with your luck in gambling?
  • Do you believe that some special things or actions can increase your luck?

And do not hesitate to share any other thoughts about it. Let's discuss!

I believe you make your own "luck" in life. The opportunities and chances that appear in front of everyone will be different, it's how you respond to them that defines you as a person. Being lucky doesn't just mean choosing and rolling red ten times on a roulette wheel. It means grasping what is right in front of you before it disappears, leaving regret at a missed opportunity. You need to have your eyes open and constantly be learning, because "luck" in that sense can be well disguised or not completely clear at the time. Just like hearing that fabulous new idea "bitcoin" when it was only selling for a few dollars each and deciding to dump a hundred dollars on it, some people took the chance.

I agree with you somewhat, but not that luck is a magical force.  I think that people look at the odds of a bet and sometimes they may not agree with the masses and think they have a better chance than the odds say.  They make a bet, and when they win it isn't that they beat the odds or were lucky, it's that they felt the odds were not accurate and wanted to exploit it.  Same for early Bitcoin investing.  When I found out about Bitcoin it's market cap was around ten million dollars.  I believed it was far more valuable than that, so I bet that it was more valuable by getting involved.  Had the market cap been a billion in the beginning, I wouldn't have ever taken a second look because I wouldn't have believed it was a good bet on the odds.  It did end up surpassing that value anyway, so I would have been unlucky for not participating.
960  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 08, 2024, 08:21:01 PM

Well, i do not see this push up challenge to be realate to the bitcoin price action as the two of them are completey different things. I do not discourage your idea but i have another idea for this challenege.

How about everyone of us do the DCA in bitcoin unless bitcoin reaches 100,000$. For example, everyone can invest 5$ a day in bitcoin and keep on doing this activity for 100 days or for any number of days until bitcoin reaches 100,000$. Interesting Idea ?

Also, i do not know what could be doing the beneifts of pushup for X number of days, but doing the DCA for X number of days will surely make your portfolio look a lot more better on the day when bitcoin is 100K.

I assume everyone is doing this anyway.  We should all constantly be accumulating Bitcoin.  Otherwise, why are you here?  I've been mining crypto and getting paid in Bitcoin for more than a dozen years now and continue to do it to the tune of a few dollars per day.  Many of us also are enrolled in paid signature programs.  This post alone acts as a $4 DCA buy for me.  Yesterday I made a sale of goods that netted me $165 in BTC.  I think it's important that people who are here for this birth of a new asset class take part in it's growth.  Don't just watch from the sidelines.  Get involved.  Same with this push-up challenge.  Don't just post on this thread and watch everyone get so strong they can bench press a car.  Get involved!  Join us on our march to health and wealth.
