I'm preparing a 0.2.2 MinePeon image, but with last version 3.4.0 of cgminer, LCDStats and MinePeon GUI, to see if the problem is from the newer Arch Linux.

no worries, just be cautious of the python usb, if its not the arch its has to be that. ( disclaimer : note am a newbie to linux so probably wrong) 

I have more or less the same feeling as you... 66% Arch guilt, 33% LCD guilt, 1% ct1aic guilt

I just did a pacman -Syu. it looks like there is a new kernal and new Rpi firmware from 20-8.

I have updated one machine to see if it helps with issues.

Question - is there an easy way to run a few erupters, one Jalapeno and some custom rigs (e.g., Burning Mining) off of one Raspberry Pi w/ MinePeon w/ cgminer AND be able to overclock the custom rig?

Could I just install another instance of CG Miner or can I do the overclock of a specific rig while not affecting all rigs?
Or would it be better/simpler to get another Raspberry Pi?

I am not script writing capable, so please consider that.

Each instance of cgminer listen on a port for commands. And MinePeon only listens to the default. So the web interface will not show both. But it's possible to run one instance "under the hood".

It would be possible to add a setting in the GUI on which port to listen and then you could switch. Maybe an incoming feature. But probably not. Buy another rpi.

Can Minepeon listen on a different port instead of :443 or :80 ?  Can it be set up to first request credentials BEFORE it displays the MINEPEON splash page?  We don't want any intruders knowing what they've come across do we? 

Also, what are the firewall settings out of the box?

You can change the port like this:

sudo nano /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

It's a line that says: "Listen 80", change it and then restart apache:

sudo systemctl restart httpd

Remove index.html and the splash page won't show :-)

I too have problems with my FPGA in newer releases - lot of downtime last week again & I don`t really find an solution for it. It seems that it works with Block Erupters (ASIC) but with BFL FPGA it fails 
Will try out older releases again if it helps as it was running awesome for weeks. I don`t think that my hardware has some damage as they were running without any problems in past plus a lot of people have downtimes now. It´s really bad as I like the work from the updates!

mine had a successful reboot 5 hrs ago - I have no idea why the reboot, but at least I didn't lose any mining time.  I only checked to give you an update   ,I thought I was running sweet..

edit : my 0.2.2 pi has been up for 2d 7h with the dodgy hub that 0.2.3a does not like

I used 0.2.3 and 0.2.3a and Im having issues with it to the point that Ive stopped using it and back on windows for a time being. I get random reboots, cgminer is cashing or freezing, pi is freezing. Ive tested it on 2 rpi and 3 different cards and its pretty much the same.

I have noticed that 0.2.2 doesn't have those issues until I do arch updates. after updates something changes and i get freezes and reboots. Just to confirm, Im gonna setup 0.2.2 with latest cgminer and minepoen update but without any arch updates and I'll post back an update.

my 0.2.3a issues are without the LCD.

only Pi, USB hubs , Erupters keyboard and wifi adaptor.

also happens on lan without the wifi adaptor. with 2 different keyboards.
