One begins to wonder why he even bought such a crappy miner from such a crappy company when their only constant mouthpiece was/is a lying paid shill.  Lips sealed

BTCitcointalk 1%ers manipulate the currency and deceive its user community.

Man this forum is full of BS. If you take out all the bullshit, it probably would be only 100 pages. Then I hear someone sent someone BTC to the wrong address. How is that even possible? A BTC address is so unique you have to not paying attention big time to make a mistake like that.

hey guys, i sent btc to the wrong bloody address somehow. fucking copy and paste, can anyone help me recover it? or how to?

Status: 2/unconfirmed, broadcast through 7 nodes
Date: 11/7/2013 21:44
To: 1AmniUAKMDcR2yPfmi6qtt8EiZ3uur9xQ3
Debit: -1.914 BTC
Transaction fee: -0.001 BTC
Net amount: -1.915 BTC
Transaction ID: f6a5c6a8341a8978e4ca47987b147b812dd37e90772cdcefce2699685d6ef6ef

From where the destination address come from? How it ended in your OS clipboard? To recover the funds sent you need to know who controls the destination address. Then you will have to contact the person and ask back the funds.

yeahhh thats the problem, i have no idea where it came from and how it was in my clipboard. trying to backtrack now...

I'm not real sure of this, but it's my understanding that you can send a message through the blockchain to a specific address. You could try doing that to the addy you accidentally sent it to. Aside from that, you are at the mercy of the recipient. Hopefully they are honest. If they are, I'd let 'em keep a piece of it were it me.

Has anyone encountered the following problem:

Jupiter hashing away happily on 0.98 getting a very stable 560GH/s at the pool with case on and all fans on (i.e. as it was designed - temps stable between 60-70)

Then suddenly, after 6 days i found it had stopped hashing (luckily i caught it after two hours only).

I rebooted via the web portal

No other changes at all.

Now hashing at ~515GH/s after 24 hours, everything else exactly unchanged.

Very strange. Any ideas guys? how can i get back to where i was in terms of hashrate?

Tip on offer for a fix Smiley

EDIT: I forgot to add that after 24 hours I did a full power cycle i.e. switched off at the PSU for 5 mins then switched back on, then in the web portal i rebooted it just for good measure. Still at 515GH/s at the pool after another 10 hours....
Just run enablecores, and reboot
I suggest using 0.98.1, or 09.98.1 beta

A quick update Phoenix, in case you're wondering. I flashed to 0.98.1 and no improvement.

BUT

I applied bertmod and it looks like I found the issue:

7   ON   OK   11.7 V   0.765 V   0.438 A

That's one of the cores on one of the chips - looks like the DC/DC is kaput Sad
That would explain the random shutdown of the miner, and the decreased performance since then. I havent had a chance to look inside the box and see if there is anything wrong - il have a look later tonight.

Any ideas what might have caused it? That board was running a little hotter than the others (yes, i checked for plastic under the heatsink - there was none, i also tightened the screws down on the bridge to make sure it was making good contact - i did all that when it first arrived). This board was running at 68 to 70 degrees, the front two were at 60 and the other back board at 67

I dont suppose anyone has a fix?

515GH/s is more than the 400GH/s i paid for, and i think it is also not bad enough to consider the downtime of an RMA (i am in Asia so it would take around 5-8 days given a same day fix by KNC)

Looks like il jut have to suck it up and be thankful for what i have.

Shame ROI looks impossible for me (i received it on 24th Oct and have only mined 7 BTC to date)

ok when all is bull shit here then i ask my question again:

I need dumps of that:

i2cdump -y 1 0x24 b

and

i2cdump -y 1 0x24 w

Information about, power, voltage, dcdc state i'am near the solution to double the hash rate
inside the miner, hmmm not doubling but 200 Gh/s per Asic_Board.

thx

yeah so much bs here

Good for you. I was thinking of posting that maybe you'd get lucky and find the address had been in your clipboard because it was an address of your own you had given to someone to send you coins, but figured if it had shown right back up at your wallet you would already have noticed. Glad it did turn out that was the kind of thing that had happened though. Smiley

I'm sure you already know this, but it takes 4 Saturns (or two Jupiters) to make what 1 Saturn was making just one month ago when they started shipping.

You will get far more BTC taking advantage of the price correction that might be coming soon.  These price surges are cyclical.

This is a common issue with the 0.98.1 firmware on some boards. It fixes the first Die DC/DC output, but kills the 3rd and/or 4th one. The only fix I've found is to heat that board up to around 70-75C which somehow gets it to start functioning. It will be less efficient (my bad miner with 3 boards like this is running at over 1.1W/Gh), but will hash a bit faster with it on. It's real tricky to get the temps right. Too high and the board shuts off from overtemp, too low and it shuts off from bad firmware coding.
If that is the only one you have with the DC/DC output below 1 than I'd say just be happy with it and hope a better firmware comes out that fixes it and soon.

Yes, I meant break even (or at least almost break even) in btc, assuming about 100% monthly difficulty increase and no btc/usd change. Since if you pay in btc it's by today's rate if I am not mistaken and the price is still the same, ~$5000

edit: do you guys think i should remove my posts so not to increase orders?
