Kinda lame that the extra $950 modules are BTC only.  Also pricey for 137GH-150GH

2.65BTC for a 140GH/s module.

Can you mine 2.65BTC back?

Also do they come with the heatsinks and everything?

No you can't.

0.13 btc/day at the current diff, and after knc blows their November load that gets even worse.

For November boxes there is good news though we have had time to revise our product further including a redesign of the PCBs, We can confirm that our November customers should expect a performance increase.

What are you talking about.   Of course you'll be able to mine 2.65.   I'd say you will break even after 1 month (BTC in/out).  This is a very fair price and would like to hear about how they recommend connecting 6 chips to a single Jupiter.     My units are hosted so I may be out of luck but if we can upgrade Hosted Jupiters, I'd love to. We still have 6 months of hosting to use up and its not like I'm paying for power!

I think they are really designed for Mercury and Saturn owners rather than Jupiter owners.

I imagine Phoenix1969 is probably a little interested in these Smiley

Yea, I know.  =(  As always, KNC gives you just enough information to create a bunch of false assumptions and countless questions.

I can see Phoenix1969 all over this deal.   (funny, someone else just posted about Phoenix)  hahah

Do your math again.  Next diff will be close to 600m.  Then KnC unleashes another 2+ PH for November.  Probably another 1PH by others.  You'll be chasing your tail.

not funny! ok october deliveries where already able to mine coins. but a lot of them where struggling with not fully working machines and now this? i hope they have some good news for early adopters any time soon!

i am happy that my two machines are now working at full power but there are still a few out there that had not so much luck.

and i have to say that it was a good idea from me to buy two 1200w PSUs Cheesy. let's see what this tuning update will bring.

Just enough time for GigaVPS and a few other select friends to ROI with the extra $$$ NDA's plunked down to protect the network for them.

Oh come on, with the difficulty increases you were MUCH better off mining early at 400Gh/s than later at 550Gh/s

I am fully aware of the difficulty increases and i feel we are in a slow uptrend for the remaining weeks of this year which is when you'll recoup your BTC for these upgrades.   I really feel you'll break even before the end of the year but no one really knows until we look back.  Today's gamble on these units are very low risk and hashing away for another year with these boards will do nothing but bring you more BTC.   If they said you'll get your units in mid-december I wouldn't touch them but with a fairly quick turn around I don't feel this is a high risk move and will reward the miners for being KNC customers.

we will see!

would like to hear about how they recommend connecting 6 chips to a single Jupiter.
The host on some Jupiters has 6 ports but some only have 4.  Not sure if it is "early" vs "late" shipping or just random but if someone has only a rig with only a 4 port host it is not possible.  If you have a 6 port host there are reports in this thread of it working fine with 5 or 6 modules connected (one user took 2 boards from a Saturn to make a "Super Jupiter). Obviously you will be using more power so the power supply should be raised.  At least 1000W (on 12V rail) for 5 modules, 1250W for 6 modules.

IIRC the photos of the hosting "shelves" had standoffs for 6 modules.  So it is possible, if they will ever offer it is another question.
