We're engineers.
Engineers remain on the conservative side of performance specification, unless anything of any statistical significance suggests we can specify otherwise.
Oh, I know. I'm part engineer. This is why I <3 KNC from day 1, and have not been dissapointed the slightest. +100

@BitcoinOrama:
Is there any (officially) case KnC can not deliver Miners to customers due to Customs issues?
I notice that at least a guy from China and one from Russia can not get their miners due to Customs procedures. In my case, a customer from Vietnam, I am also afraid about Customs issues related. Can KnC offer a hosting service for us now?
I appreciate if you could help me out of this issue.
Thanks!
PS: I'm sorry other users for my English and concerns on this matter.
It's only been Russia and China and we've created some work abounds since. Almost all entered Russia, except those that wouldn't except our latter work around, they were refunded. The majority of Chinese customers were fine, some were held. KnCMiner.cn was a re-seller that offered a unique resolution. Hosting is the obvious option for those guys if they are worried.

I trust in knc, it is an AB / stock company, when can we first day customers buy shares. I think it is time, too talk about this. Could this be the reward announcement planned for those of us who were with them in preorders before they even had a design? "Today, KnCMiner announced plans for an ipo with all those who ordered hardware on faith, receiving 1 share per each GigaHash purchased. : "

Personally I run all my miners on 240V circuits for efficiency's sake.

The difference between Bar, myself and say Avenger is that we're real customers and we're expecting reasonable outcomes.
In this forum, where every participant is free to express their feelings in accordance with the subject discussed, the only difference between you and Avenger is the username. Do not really matter if he is a real KnCminer customers or not, he is free to express his opinion as much as you are. Put him in an ignore list will not change the facts. +1

It's a skewed perspective. I just measured the distance and there is 17cm between the miners and the wall.
Well, if you think 3/4" is enough.... 17cm = 6.7 inches You are thinking mm Yes. My mistake.

Guess we shall see Mota...because I'm on an aggressive re-investment strategy....
Can you define "aggressive"? What are your numbers? CloudHashing is doing 30%. Is That TooMuch/TooLittle/JustRight. Presuming KnC Keeps the price about the same(or a bit lower) but improves HashThroughPut (HTP) with Gen2, 30% may be about right to be able to re-invest in a continuous manner. I haven't actually run numbers though. I'm thinking that After 0% ROI (Payback) this might work: 10% Tithe 10% Off The Table, To Hard Assets 30% New Hardware Fund. 25% Hold 25% Play/Live?

Hmm... 284 GH/s + (new boards) = 550 GH/s
Old: 4 VRM, new: 2 VRM, firmware: 0.99. Power at the wall: 617 W (230 V)

Sorry, I don't understand. Two VRM? Looking at another poster's setup showing 3 modules in an open case, I assumed he was showing at least one new module as no 3 module machines were sold and all have 4 VRMs.

I doubt you are going to get much sympathy in here throwing around your vague complaints and posting what is really just slander. That is the $1000000 dollar question now isn't it? Literally.
No, the $1000000 dollar question is will BTC reach $1000000 I will keep this short. The current US government budget is about $3 Trillion Dollars. The current US deficit (revenue shortfall) runs about $1 Trillion dollars. What value would BitCoin be just to cover the deficit? How about the entire US government budget? How about the Canadian Budget -- right chump change and six BTC. How about the Eurodollar -- just for fun. What value would BitCoin have to reach just to cover the US Gross Domestic Product (production figures for goods and services)? People in computing at the design level are very familiar with the can't use a "big" hard drive phenomena -- where the address table was orders of (binary) magnitude too small. There are questions like -- why did you only allow for 32 categories? (I thought it was lots? dumb dumb dumb). (And it happens again and again.) So here's the question(s) Will there be a BTC QE 1? (i.e. inflation through BTC expansion) Will there be a rush to using Milli or Micro BTC to track our wealth? (I'm, wealthy with a hundred milli-bits of BTC? It doesn't sound right -- does it? As we wait for our upgrades you can contemplate these philosophical questions. What else can we do? If people really want to get into this seriously other than a few off the cuff comments -- it could be interesting -- but maybe another forum.

Warning: Off Topic, mash ignore if you like.
That pump and dump has me mildly upset. I recall early this year when the crash happened. I was watching the BFL chat. Guys came on after cashing out and posted as if shouting: SELL SELL QUICK IT'S CRASHING (I paraphrase). A reverse pump and dump. They managed a significant transfer of wealth to themselves and created a mass of disillusioned, disappointed, mostly Americans I think, among them myself. Now, on the night before the Senate hearing a massive pump and dump likely by shills of the banking industry. Clearly they were trying to destabilize Bitcoin. A crucial element of any attack on Bitcoin would be creating a mass of bitterly disappointed Bitcoin owners. And I read here "let's make some money". Bummer. Well, if one looks at the MtGox 1 month plot, it seems like one can plot a continuation of a reasonable Bitcoin increase if one ignores the pump and dump. We can only hope the burned buyers aren't right now trying to dump their Bitcoins.

Uh huh... If people want to get a dose of reality... https://www.cavirtex.com/homeTends to have a more conservative approach to trading so the values do not swing as wildly. Before I consider trading or buying I look there for what I think is a more realistic value for the BTC. Not that I would not trade on MtGox say -- just to get a premium if I could -- but I think the value realized would be closer to the more conservative value. Canajun -- eh? Middle of the road on everything -- even blandness.

No. You are pathetic buttcoinorama. This guy brings up a 2 week old point and you use it to take a pop again. So childish. I NEVER claimed I had a contact in the factory. You just can't seem to get it out of your tiny brain, you still want to misrepresent what I said. What propaganda? You're owed no apology. Haven't you got a contact on the ground at the factory? That's precisely what you've been claiming. Also I those figures I stated the otherday were precisely what I had been told. I have not lied. Period. I haven't spread any bullshit at anypoint, so good luck with that. That's great, you just proved how stupid you are. News just in from sources in Sweden.
Production factory closes at 10pm every night and is closed over the weekend.
No wonder they are still pissing around turning out 70/day.
The guys at the end of the queue ain't gonna see diddly squat for weeks.
I in no way said I had "contact on the ground at the factory". NOW, are you going to apologise for misrepresenting what I said and calling me a liar? Why don't you at some point grow up and start acting like a professional? KNC pay you, you could stop embarrassing them with your purile, childish and churlish messages on this forum, now that you are back to full time shilling on here. It's pretty obvious it's the first real job you've ever had in your life and you don't even know how to act. Just take some advice and stop acting like a broken record and a big baby. Why don't you do something professional, like tell KNC customers for certain when those parts that you claimed would be 5-10 days late are scheduled for delivery? And not just BS by saying things will be "rosy" in a weeks time. That, for those who can count, is 12 days from the 15th, not 5-10. But deadlines and dates mean nothing to you eh? tl/dr Pathetic child called buttcoinorama continues to misrepresent what people say, misleads customers with bs and acts totally unprofessionally on public forum, further tarnishing name of tawdry and greedy purveyor of fault goods company he works for.
