13hrs and counting ..... 12.75PH and rising .... the S5's have hit the network ..... and driving the pool hash-rate up ... they seem to have left the luck behind though!

Won't be surprised if it turns out those S5's you've deployed have a conflict of sorts with the pool .... they seem to have drawn all the luck outta slush!

Any chance you can elaborate on this?

I've been mining with Slushs for about a month or so now. I think its a brilliant pool although I must admit it can be rough when you go through a 20hr patch with no block found @ 10+phash pool speed.

Today was pretty sweet though, 5 blocks in a short time frame. Unfortunate all my power wasn't dedicated to the pool though!

Elaborate .... !? Sure, .... they seem to have drawn all the luck outta slush!. So, nothing here nor there!

And yes, keep them all pointed at slush and you'll reap what you deserve, I find the strategy of pointing them at different pools a "false economy" cum fools' gold of sorts.

Have you seen those chinese pools today??? That damn Discuss Fish found more than 18 blocks today. They are really taking over yet provide such a shit reward system. I can't comprehend why small users would use that pool. Its a PPS pool with poor rates and all they're doing is industrializing bitcoin mining and ruining it for everybody else.

https://blockchain.info/pools

Slush's has been shrinking ever so slowly. It peaked another phash a week ago but dropped it again. I stick to my guns, slush was the first pool I joined and I respect the man for running a well paying and reliable pool. One that isn't going to kill mining for everyone else. Really is a shame seeing everyone pumping those chinapools.

Really is a shame seeing everyone pumping those chinapools.

I'd bet that the majority of miners are in China these days, it makes sense that Chinese pools ended up exploding in popularity.  Back when BTC Guild was hitting 40%+ of the network when ASICs first hit the scenes, the site was getting more than 50% of its web traffic from China alone.

We need everyone who is not in China to get out of those pools to redistribute. Imagine all the Chinese pools merge to one pool. They will control >51% of the network. I would not trust them with that. These same people killed the economy in Diablo 3, WoW and other online games which trade gold.

Labor is cheap as crap over there, producing electricity is nothing to them, they will thrash the hell out of these miners then sell them to everyone else to use. They're very cunning. They know how to make money. Its disturbing watching blockchain fill up with discuss fish.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed whenever the pool hashing goes above 10PH the blocks take forever to find. Just a observation and i know it makes no sense and is direct opposite of the logic. But man it seems like when its 8-9PH the blocks roll in. everytime it hits 10-11 we get these 12+hr blocks.....

Could you link those pages kkurtman?

By all odds you could have 50ph and not find a block.

I've noticed a small pattern, when the pool finds a block, it often finds another shortly after. Ive seen blocks found seconds apart.

80% of my power goes into Slush's pool. The more power I get the more I put into this pool. There is only one other pool I use along side Slushs and it is an even slower pool. But I respect the pool, the hosts and the payout methods. I do not and will never support a chinese pool.

Link to those pages? No, I don't have time to search through this thread. I have read every single post in this thread since page one, and almost every time we get long blocks, the conspiracy theories fly. Try search the word conspiracy in this thread and you will find examples near those posts, and there are some good (funny) ones.
