Repeat of last week, slow couple of days hash rate was low so they hit a few blocks so I'm right on the threshold of my payout setting then check it to find this. Then last week I ended up waiting and because of the hash rate they hit a couple and I'm back up to 50%. Probably gonna end up in the same boat again. Guess you can't win them all. I'm not even sure how I should readjust my payout, I had it pretty well timed for 7 days for a while, now it's hard to determine.

It seems worse than the end result really was though. Hash rate was low so I ended up getting payout in almost the same time because the rewards were higher. It just feels worse. When hash rate was in the 15-16 range they were hitting a lot of blocks but at 8.5 I'm getting double the reward (well not technically double by hash rate but I double for me as I did toss another miner on because the payout per block was better).

41 hours with no blocks, ouch. Quite the drought, anyone know if we have ever gone 50 hours with no blocks?
Nevermind, lacing up my Block-Rain dancing shoes now.
Hmm, wonder if we can get 3 blocks per hour for a while?  Smiley

Edit: Someone else needs to try the rain dance, mine isn't working. It has now been over 48 hours since the pool hit a block. This is the longest dry spell I can remember.

With the present network hash rate of 364,376,749 GH/s (364.377 PH/s) and our present hash rate of 8.861 PH/s, we are approximately 2.43% of the total network hash rate.  There are 144 blocks to be mined each day.  At 2.43% of the network hash rate, that would be approximately 3.4992 Blocks each day found if both our hash rate and network hash rate remain at a 2.43% differential.

This Lonnnnnnnnng Block hurts but it's part of "variance."  Hopefully, we have several days soon with an average of 5 or 6 blocks each day to make up for the unfortunate luck we've had that will get us back to 100% or higher for the month.

This sure is a tough drought!  It's been a relatively rough time since we lost quite a bit of hash on the pool a week or two ago, but what you pointed out above is why I have stuck to it.

I will try my rain dance now! BTC Cool

I shut down all inefficient miners. Getting to where it's not worth the effort to mine. At least for those of us who have to pay for electricity.

Hot time, summer in the city, back of my mine getting hot & gritty!!!

I'm only mining with 35 TH/s instead of the full 60 TH/s until I can turn off the air conditioner.  The main breaker will trip when the AC comes on if I have too many other appliances going at the same time and more than 35 TH/s going.  If BTC price would go up and stay up a while, I would consider adding another 300 AMPS to the house.

Geez. Just had a 50 Hour block... now shaping up for a 24+ hour block and still counting... Maybe I should bypass the electricity meter, like the grow house nextdoor.

Hash rate is LOW. Not sure what to do though, they hit a block because of it the reward is impressive, 15% to my payout per block is crazy! When the hash rate was way up you got a lot of blocks but the end result was similar.

It's almost like Triplemining, I'd wait until they were around when they usually cracked a block (kind of the gambler's fallacy), go all in for a few days then reap the benefit. Of course if luck was like this I'd be over there now.

As of this typing the hash rate was 8.3 so I powered up another miner I hadn't been using. Feel like I'm at the Casino.

So where has the hashrate gone that took Slush from 13+ TH to now a smidge under 8TH. That's 5TH that either left the network, or relocated to another pool.

What's up?

I have been using slush for awhile and have also noticed the lag between blocks. Ironically I pointed  1 TH around other pools and its slow all around. One pool has been bombarded with DDNs from china. I'm thinking that we have a slow down because the price of the bitcoin was so low too.
Multipools are the exception however right now  slushes has a better payout since less hashers means more.

Around 3 PH/s is back at Slush and some blocks finally hitting.  Once BTCGuild shuts down maybe miners will split between Eligius and Slush and we can get some luck back.  I would like to point my hash back at Slush instead of Antpool or BTCChina that I recently moved to.

That's what I am hoping at the moment. Unfortunately many will go to the big pools like AntPool or F2Pool.

been at Antpool now for exactly 1 week - averaging -

0.16077948 BTC
averaging per day
for 15TH

1.16043524 BTC
Earnings
Happy with that.....Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'd be back to Slush in a flash if they had the consistency, thats the trouble though, this 2days, then 1 day then run of "bad luck" i cant afford it - seriously, power is too much money. I need consistency.

I would go to another pool. I have tried to stay with them and noticed even the btcguild outperformed them. I tried and once a month I'll check their stats however something is fishy. Their payout estimates with comparable hashrates though lowerd are different. They don't match last weeks
