Formulas attempting to rationalize luck are a pass time for the unoccupied mind. One can simply look at the distribution of blocks on a given day; probably much longer for data to be more substantive, and equate that to the apportionment acquired by their pool to gain some appreciation of the pools effectiveness and equality of distribution. One would look at the percentage of work being proportional to the percentage of blocks found by a given pool and then investigate whether the pool distributes beneficially for your contribution. Then throw luck into the equation and realize the exercise is likely futile. https://blockchain.info/blocksFunny although the problem appears to have been resolved the exodus seems to continue. I suspect this is bouncers that missed the three block hit and left in disgust blaming the pool for their impatience. |

Total reward showing on the site just dropped too... [EDIT] Actually it's the unconfirmed reward that has zero'd out... The issue was caused by a small glitch in the backend database. The problem appears to be in the boiler room or more likely caught in the hold and can't make it's way to the bridge. |

I've been mining for over a year. always on Slush... I dont pay attention to things dont care about formulas and such maybe i forgot the 1 reason why I refuse to change...
So anyway I pointed 200gh/s at eligius to see how things compared over a 16 hour peroid it completed more blocks than slush of course and my total earned was 0.01394952 BTC
now looking at what I missed on slush that 200gh/s would have earned .03
SO why exactly would I leave slush?!?! each completed block on slush that 200gh/s earns .005x so as long as slush gets 2 blocks in 16 hours slush is better, get 3 blocks and way better...
Great thx for da return of experience. I have mined few days at multipool.us, the concept is smart "profit-switching cryptocoin mining pool" BUT there is nothing compared to Slush |

Me too, unconfirmed rewards are at zero, while there are 6 blocks showing rewards under block stats.

Informative but would suggest reporting any issues encountered through submitting a trouble ticket as by all appearances it seems the forum is not the primary means of communicating with the host. |

Question for the experts.
If a block is found the pool apportions your share shortly after processing. If one leaves during the validation period it is my understanding they forfeit their share. The apportionment has already been factored so what happens to the portion they forfeited? Does it get redistributed to those who remain?

Thanks, I think the pools recent misbehavior led me to the wrong conclusion.  So if you get three strikes in a row, throw the dealer a tip and move to the next table. Just kidding. |
