How to use Temperature Throttling?

I am trying to use
-tt 1 -tstop 68 -tstart 55 -tmax 63

Only the tstop and tstart work. How do I make throttle work on tmax 63 ?

Any help?

After Claymore last ver. 14.6 you are not the fastest eth miner. I've got 32,3 mh/sec vs 31,5 with phoenix (RX480, bc drivers ). Your next pace, dev)
Phoenix linux:
Quote
GPU2:  PCI 0000:03:00, Radeon RX 580 8 GB - BIOS: 113-BE366EU-Z46, MEMINFO: SK Hynix H5GQ8H24MJR
GFXCLK: 1239Mhz, DPM: 3, MEMCLK: 2250Mhz, PWR:84W, VLT: 0.86v, FAN: 40%, GPU TEMP: 53C, ASIC TEMP: 56C
Quote
GPUs: 1: 31.264 MH/s (174) 2: 31.489 MH/s (153) 3: 33.678 MH/s (181) 4: 31.826 MH/s (197)
Claymore linux:
Quote
GPU2:  PCI 0000:03:00, Radeon RX 580 8 GB - BIOS: 113-BE366EU-Z46, MEMINFO: SK Hynix H5GQ8H24MJR
GFXCLK: 1239Mhz, DPM: 3, MEMCLK: 2250Mhz, PWR:85W, VLT: 0.86v, FAN: 40%, GPU TEMP: 54C, ASIC TEMP: 57C
Quote
ETH: GPU0 30.479 Mh/s, GPU1 30.595 Mh/s, GPU2 33.614 Mh/s, GPU3 31.638 Mh/s
Are you still sure Claymore is faster?

Thats some really good Hynix memory you have over there. Is it maybe Sapphire RX580 Nitro SE?

did you use RX Boost in Phoenix and Claymore?

It's not RX boost, thats how claymore calls it, its messing with refresh period of DRAM.
And yes, it has been "rxboost"-ed without Claymore and yes it is Sapphire nitro+ SE and no, its not better than normal nitros, just the timings are good Smiley

EDIT: Regarding NVIDIA optimizations the guy was talking - yes it is the only thing that can be better as of optimization of hardware, but not miner.

Well, those cards (both Micron and Hynix versions) are rated at 2100 MHz memory instead usual 2000MHz, so I guessed
that even if its nominally same memory, maybe manufacturer handpicked better chips

It really is possible and achievable but at the same time...unless bragging... I'm not sure why will I push them so much...
I'd rather prefer to not turn this thread into claymore vs others war and d*ck waving. Lets just pretend that everyone is happy Cheesy

with latest updates Claymore has the same speed with nVidia as Phoenix.
Phoenix's AMD kernels are more "tweak-able" and are faster than Claymore's.
But Phoenix doesn't work as expected with latest 19.5.1 + drivers. We need an update

On the last part I agree, we need an update for both windows and linux latest drivers + I have contacted developer to add support for ROCm too. Lets hope they are busy doing it Smiley
PS: Some phoenixminer results for last.

Are you still sure Claymore is faster?
he is 100% correct, the new -strap settings in Claymore are the sh*t, i can mine 34.8 MH/s on my GTX 1070 with 105W. On PhoenixMiner it's about 33 MH/s.

It depends on whether you can get the straps to actually work. A lot of people, including myself, have had a hard time getting the straps to run stable.

My rig crashes after about thirty minutes after having wildly fluctuating hashrates using the straps. All nvidia Gtx 1070's and 1060's. So until I figure that out, phoenixminer is faster and more stable.
