Finally managed to configure zombie-mode properly. Getting 24 MH/s with RX580 4GB cards at current ETH epoch.

24mhs maybe till yesterday. Now in the new epoch I am getting 22mhs more or less.
Cards impossible to find at normal prices. Before this crazyness I didn't close a deal for 10 EUR per card...what a stupid idea ahahah

Which configuration line do you use for the 22Mhs?.

It would be helpful to have some lines to see the different config files

this is the miner command generated by ethos:

I think the picture of the user above about the 24mhs doesn't tell much. We need to see the shares and if the cards are getting rejected shares. Maybe it can also be the 580 is performing better than the 570 with this zombie mode.
With the config above I am getting 29mhs from the 8GB (two cards out of 6) and 22mhs from the 4GB cards (4 out of 6). Totally STABLE. I don't have time to stay all day long looking at the miners. I need to press a button and forget about them at least for one week.
The 8GB till the last update where getting 30.5mhs but it's like to speed up the 4GB the system is taking out something from the 8GB. The total however is very good. Hopefully with the 1.19 we will get even more!!!

If they crash is normally OC they are at the maximum and any memory error crash them... reduce normally memory OC 1st, or try to reduce 4080

You are able to run it separate each card:
-zombie-tune 0,2,2,1,1,2
That will skip 5700, and select the best tune for the others.

When mining Beam, the hashrate is only 4 sol.
Video card RX 480 4 gb.
Why is the hash rate so low? There is no such drop on other algorithms.

No memory errors, no rejected shares. All mem clocks are fine tuned on each card exactly to the point until getting any errors. 2 8GB cards with Hynix mem run with max 2200MHz clocks, 2 8GB cards with Samsung mem run with lower clocks, but draw a lot less power. 2 4GB cards also have Hynix mems. All cards are also undervolted to the exact level where the rig remains completely stable, to optimize the power draw.

90% of my cards are crashing with 1.18, no matter how low/high I put --4g-alloc-size. Returning to 1.17. (Using the latest SMOS.)

--zombie-tune 2 - The five cards with low hashrate around 1 MHS each and the remaining Eight 23 MHS

--zombie-tune 1 - The five cards with low hashrate around 4 MHS each and the remaining Eight 21.8 MHS

--zombie-tune 0 - The platform crashes instantly when you start

When placing --zombie-tune 1,0,0,0,0,0,1,1,1,1,1,1 (where 0 are the ones that generate low hashrate with zombie tune) the platform similarly crashes when starting

I've already tried placing different --4g-alloc-size values from 4080 to 4040 and get the same result  Huh

All I can think about is that the ASUS B-250 MINING EXPERT doesn't get along with the --zombie-tune, already in the BIOS active PCI GEN 2

I have 4GB of ram in the system but I don't think that influences?  Embarrassed

Are you in the last RaveOS  (8548-1581) or last HiveOS (20.40 opencl) to try to see if there are difference drivers... last idea 😅... or that the B250 don't like it jeje...

Yes, 4GB insuficient for 12 GPU in ZombiMode, use 8 GB System RAM or more.

For windows users.  Linux users only need 4gb.  Try to provide full info and not just the crippled info that is for windows.

For windows users.  Linux users only need 4gb.  Try to provide full info and not just the crippled info that is for windows. 


I think at the beginning of the Navi's also in Linux was a little bit more than 4Gb... but I need to check it.

Lolminer thanks this version (1.18) is pretty stable working many hours without any crash or any issue, very sad about 4g cards but hey you guys did everything to work them. im not expert and i hope in the future there will be solution for dag. i mean no matter what dag size gpus still continue to mine. thanks
