Can you please explain how do you go below 800 mV? with linux and atitool Which miner, what memtweak settings? I have 6xVega 56 sapphire REF. 56 bios, and max. is 50mhs. No run above 1070cc and /1027mc/mem 820v. My Vega56 is on : 1090 core 1020 mem 0.812 v Gets me 53.19mhs on mmpos non modded bios. it seems that mmpos uses amdmemtweak timings by default ))

Finally I have something interessting for my Vega 56 Hynix (default BIOS) I tried a lot of timing but miner crash. This is my best result so far

Hey guys,
There are some days that I´m trying to reach a stable config for my RX Vega 56 MSI Air Boost, Hynix memory (blower), the most stable results is in Simplemining OS, but the results are pretty much the same in the MMP OS (lately I faced some drivers errors in the second one, [amdgpu yada-yada-yada]).
46.65 MH/s, 322 accepted shares and 8 hw errors until now. Team Red Miner. 47MH/s at pool.
If I go mV down, even only 10mV, it gets a lot hw errors. If I go only 5 MHz mem up, it gets a lot of errors. The same thing for --rcdwr, for 17 and down that, a lot of errors too.
Core 1050@900mV, mem 900. 137 W in software, 180W at the wall. 90% fan and mem working about 74ºC.
amdmemorytweak --i 1 --cl 18 --ras 23 --rcdrd 18 --rcdwr 11 --rc 34 --rp 13 --rrds 3 --rrdl 4 --rtp 6 --faw 12 --cwl 7 --wtrs 4 --wtrl 4 --wr 11 --rfc 164 --REF 17000
Anyone that faced some similar problems or similar hardware that could help me with this? Thanks a lot!

Hi, having similar issues, having 3x Sapphire Nitro+ (Hynix) in a rig where I've successfully ran 9xRX570 before without any issues. I was able to successfully OC memories to 960MHz, 930MHz and 950Mhz but I haven't used any mem strapping, just increased REF to 65535 and I got around 44MH/s. When I tried to mimic your settings on my cards, 2 of them got only 41MH/s and third one (after cca 30s) crashed. I'm not an expert on tuning memory straps but have tried all different will-work-for-sure-on-your-Vega56-Hynix settings and none of them worked for me.

Hello RednoW, Could you share your settings ? I want to get better efficiency. I let my miner running for month without any modification. I'm between 46 and 50 mh per vega with 130W display in phoenix miner ( 56 with 64 bios). My settings are now : Windows 10 Adrenaline 18.6.1 Vega 56 with 64 bios PPT tables Running at 991/850mv 1080/850mv Old tweak with amd mem tweak. I tried to update driver but I cannot use PPT with them so consumption increase a lot. Any advice ? best wishes

You should rephrase that and write: "On any distro + amdmemtweak {....} you can get 56+ if you've got some silicon lottery winners." Every "mining OS" out there is a Linux distro with some scripts here and there. Even some of them have kernel modifications (the exceptions out there), some of them will give you some extra options, and so on. In the end, no "Mining OS" is that special that it'll give you a crazy hash rate increase over any competitors. Just as a note to other people reading this thread. Don't go crazy over a few MH, some GPUs will simply not make it, some came of the side of the wafer and unfortunately are of worse quality compared to its sisters. Then there's the revision, the later revisions are slightly better than the first ones and will reach higher hash rates much easier. And then I'm not even talking about the memory vendor, where there's also a huge difference... As a nice last example, I've got a 5700 here that is running 63Mh stable, then I've got another one, same model that has issues maintaining 57Mh.. Just saying Cheers!

Can anyone advise what line I should be using for the following?
root@Rig1:~# amdmemtweak --current GPU 0: Vega 10 XL/XT [Radeon RX Vega 56/64] pci:0000:06:00.0 Memory state: 800MHz Memory: Samsung HBM2 Memory vendor and model 61AB1A9C Timing 1: CL: 17 RAS: 27 RCDRD: 13 RCDWR: 8 Timing 2: RCAb (RC): 39 RCPb (RC): 39 RPAb (RP): 12 RPPb (RP): 12 Timing 3: RRDS: 4 RRDL: 5 RTP: 5 Timing 4: FAW: 13 Timing 5: CWL: 6 WTRS: 3 WTRL: 7 Timing 6: WR: 13 Timing 7: RREFD: 7 Timing 8: RDRDDD: 3 RDRDSD: 2 RDRDSC: 1 RDRDSCL: 3 Timing 9: WRWRDD: 3 WRWRSD: 2 WRWRSC: 1 WRWRSCL: 3 Timing 10: WRRD: 1 RDWR: 17 Timing 12: REF: 3120 Timing 13: MRD: 8 MOD: 12 Timing 14: XS: 216 Timing 16: XSMRS: 6 Timing 17: PD: 6 CKSRE: 8 CKSRX: 8 Timing 20: RFCPB: 128 STAG: 7 Timing 21: XP: 6 CPDED: 2 CKE: 6 Timing 22: RDDATA: 16 WRLAT: 4 RDLAT: 14 WRDATA: 1 Timing 23: CKESTAG: 2 RFC Timing: RFC: 208
So far the best I've attained is 43.5 Mh/s using: amdmemtweak --CL 20 --RAS 20 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12 --RC 37 --RP 11 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 6 --RTP 5 --FAW 12 --CWL 8 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --WR 14 --REF 65535 --RFC 248
BIOS is stock. I'm on HiveOS. Just running the line above through the shell. Not really sure what I'm doing yet. Also the core and memory clocks aren't seeming to be changed even though I specify it in HiveOS. So perhaps it is the lack of overclock and not the timings that is causing it to have low hashrate???

Ok I got some help and found out there was an issue with HiveOS and Vegas using TRM and amdmemtweak. It got fixed on the back end for me and supposedly goes out in an update soon. Changed hash rate significantly so it's much more in line with expectations. Figured I'd give my ending values in case they help anyone else.
amdmemtweak –CL 20 --RAS 26 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 12 --RC 38 --RP 12 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 5 --RTP 6 --FAW 12 --CWL 8 --WTRS 4 --WTRL 9 --WR 13 --REF 12000 --RFC 239
I'm at 46 Mh/s on my RX Vega 56 Samsung with stock bios and down clocked 940mhz core, 850mv, 950mhz mem. Pulling 1020 watts from the wall with a 6 GPU rig.

It seems we have very similar cards, the defaults timings where almost identical. Mine is a Gigabyte Vega56 8Gb Samsung Memory. With your timings I'm getting 44.0MH/s on PhoenixMiner in Windows10 Running Core 940Mhz@875mV and Memory 950MHz@900mV... Phoenix reports 183W consumption with 49ºC Temps and 3000RPM Fan Did you further tweaked your timings? I had no luck running the card with higher memory clocks, and don't know how to reduce further the power draw...

No you won't..Flashing an XT vbios to a non XT card is the only thing that is possible. The onboard PSP prevents you from doing modifications. Also, memory timing changes on a Navi are like on an R7, useless. The only thing that would improve performance (particularly eth mining wise) would be to make it so that you extend your bandwith. Which means that you would need to change clocks + timings so it remains stable and because the PSP on board even has it's own PPtable, this is yet again not possible. Well, anything is possible, or almost :p But at this stage, i doubt anyone has been able to accomplish vbios edits for navi (basically bypass PSP).
Cheers Haha Necro quote, I know, but I wonder how they actually did it (RedBiosEditor) ? Just wanted to say thanks for AMDmemtweak (non XL). Been using it on Win10 for some side-mining and managed to get 46MH at 130W from my reference model Vega 56 on TRM. The only timing I needed to change was TREF 3120>9360. Core/mem at 915/950MHz and 875mV. EDIT: Well, with Windows voltage control is kinda flaky for me, most of the time I can get it to 875mV(130W), but recently I managed to get it to stick at 850mV (125W on HWinfo). It's been running for a few days now, too scared to retry and have it get stuck at 900mV, haha.

Hi guys,
I must say this program is amazing and have had fun tweaking the numbers. I am having one problem and I was hoping someone could help. When I write my batch file it starts the program as expected and I am able to change setting on the fly but it does not import command values on start up.
Here is an example:
AMDMemoryTweak.exe --REF 30 AMDMemoryTweak.exe --i 0,1 --REF 30
I have the batch file inside the same folder with the program and clearly starts the program but would like to simplify my work when I need to restart.
Thanks in advance!
