I think In the last 6 over, they will be able to collect more than 60.  We know that the Netherlands is a weak team. but, it was out of my thinking that they would bowl so badly. Now it looks like the England team will collect the second-highest score in the history of cricket. I hope, they will provide targets like 470.

They are bowling bad but they are also fielding very bad, their fielders already dropped Buttler like 2 times and also dropping Livingstone.

Anyway i was watching the game for Buttler only so i didn't mind those drop catches.

Having said that, this comes under human rights violations and extremely brutal.

Hahaha, it's really very brutal. I never imagined England would play such an innings today. Basically I didn't watch live the first 30 overs. England collected 224 runs in the first 30 overs. So I thought they might give a target of 400-420. But to everyone's surprise, Liam Livingstone and Jos Buttler's devastating batting help England a huge collection of 498. My regret is that England could not touch 500 runs.

Thanks to Livingstone and Buttler for giving us a chance to enjoy such an innings. The first three records for the highest run-scorer in the history of ODIs are held by England.

Hahaha, it's really very brutal. I never imagined England would play such an innings today. Basically I didn't watch live the first 30 overs. England collected 224 runs in the first 30 overs. That's what we call monstrous performance. Only 2 runs were missed to make 500 identical runs, but they succeeded in setting the highest total in ODI cricket history. It was an absolute beast of an innings from Buttler, yet he carried on with the form we saw in the IPL. There is no doubt that Buttler aimed for 200. As a result of Livingstone's cameo, the actual party was ruined.

I agree with you. Butler and Livingstone have been able to do such devastating batting today as a result of their performances in the IPL. I saw their batting in this match. It was really great and enjoyable. Butler's strike rate was 232.4 and Livingstone's striker rate was 300. I have seldom seen such aggressive batting in the ODI format.

What a match it was today, there was only one team which has so good players that can score around 500 runs. Players like Jos Buttler, Malan, Root and Livingstone and from nowhere came Phil Salt who came obviously out of syllabus. You can easily say that Current England team is the best team England has ever had. I really wish they had scored 500 runs it would have been a different kind of record which would have been written in golden letters, no one 20 years ago would have even imagine a 400 in a 50 over game forget about a 500. On one side i am pretty happy for this but at the same time for bowlers i have felt really sad.

Missed the game, should've managed to touch 500 runs. The record isn't much into discussion, because the team played against is Netherlands. It is the only team that play test matches as ODI and ODI matches as T20. It is really hard to make such a big score, because when the player is hitting hard even a small mistake will lead to fall of wicket. Anyhow Netherlands needs to work on the bowling. On the other side Netherlands have managed to scor 266 runs batting second which is quite good against a team like England.

It was depressing to watch the match between England and Netherlands. The latter used to be a very competitive side, but their quality seems to have gone down in the recent past. To their defense, a number of their major players were missing (Timm van der Gugten, Roelof van der Merwe, Paul van Meekeren, Frederick Klaassen.etc), as they are playing county cricket in England. But if they want growth, then they don't need to be overdependent on a few players. The younger players are failing miserably for the Dutch, match after match.

You are right. The Netherlands team was weak. And we all knew the match would be one-sided. But no one thought we would see such batting of England players. England scored 174 runs in the first 25 overs. But in the last 25 overs, they collected 324 runs. England has collected about 13 runs in each over. I was not ready to watch such devastating batting.
However, the batsmen of the Netherlands have batted well enough. They also managed to score 266 runs against England's experienced bowlers. This is certainly admirable.

What is the point in scoring approx. 250 runs after conceding almost double that much? Cricket in Netherlands (as well as that in neighboring Danmark) is dying. Clubs are closing down, and the domestic tournaments are now being dominated by players from South Asia. A recent estimate claimed that only 30% of the domestic players are natives. This is a drastic change when compared to the situation they had ten years back. I don't understand what happened to cricket in that country, when their neighbors such as Ireland and Scotland managed to thrive.

England team is not at there best these days and still they score 498 runs. Imagine what will happen if such country play against Australia or Pakistan in ODI.

I think if anyone says that the Netherlands has done well in any department of this match, it doesn't make any sense. After England scored almost 500 runs they are obviously in the safe zone against a team like the Netherlands and they're obviously going to take things relatively easy. I think that is the only reason why the Netherlands was able to score more than 250. Otherwise, you would have had a much worse performance from them in the batting department as well. This match was obviously going to be one-sided but I did not think it would be that one-sided, to be honest. Ireland is working really hard to have its place in the cricket world and I absolutely respect that.

The ICC should host more series for the Netherlands, Ireland, Zimbabwe, UAE and Oman. The quality of these teams is almost the same. Let them become more experienced by performing against each other. Then let's organize a series against teams like Bangladesh or Afghanistan. Then we do not have to enjoy such a one-sided match.
