Once again, attempt is being made to treat legal and illegal immigration at equal footing. If you look at the map, you will find that GCC nations such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait do have a higher proportion of migrants to the population. But the plus point here is that all of them are legal migrants. Illegal immigration is a punishable offense in most of the countries (unlike the case in USA, where illegals are provided with funds from taxpayer money). This is an issue that is present only in the US/EU. And the only reason is lack of enforcement of laws by the left-wing.

I don't think that anyone in this forum do have an issue with legal immigration. The issue is only with the illegal variety. There are a lot of people out there who would claim that the illegals need to be shown humanity and regimes must tolerate them. But is this the right approach? There are hundreds of millions of poor people in the world. Can the US take all of them? I know the situation here in India. Most of the Indian origin illegal immigrants to USA come from two Indian states - Punjab and Gujarat. These people spend up to $30,000 per head to illegally cross the US-Mexico border. In Indian standards, most of these people and not poor. On the other hand they would rank among top 1% by wealth.

It depends on what you call "normal" immigration, I think the term you are trying to use is "regular" immigration.
It is a very controversial topic, obviously. In the eyes of the political left (led by Biden) those who cross the border illegally are not supposed to be mistreated or kicked out immediately, since they are human beings, like anyone of us, which is true.

On the other hand, the political right believes that giving such an easy pass to refugees and irregular immigrants will only encourage more people to opt for the coyotes, human traffickers, etc.

Have you seen Trump and the Republican party to talk about "Open Borders"?, that is exactly what they mean and push forward to point out at the Democrat measures. It is going to become an even bigger talking point as the date for the election gets closer.

Well, whether it is normal immigration, what is called entering people with their visa or work permit, it is something normal, it is not a problem, yes, it represents work force, which is why many are leaving regardless of the USA. I am not a big fan of the politics of any country, not even my own, but I am capable of saying that the cases in the USA are not very good, people are looking to go and have jobs where they pay more, the pace of life from the USA is expensive, immigration? I have myself read about the situation with the cartels in Mexico and I must grant that you are right when you say they are a problem, perhaps bigger than anyone realizes. However, don't you think it would be problematic to declare those cartels as terrorist organizations? Because, terrorism usually implies a political motivation, and cartels do not have such a thing, their motivation is purely economical.

Regardless of it, I am sure that as we get closer and closer to the date of the presidential election, the talking point of Mexico and the threat from cartels will continue to arise. Hopefully, all this won't translate into a unilateral attack by USA in Mexican soil.

Last year of Trump regime (2020) saw around 300,000 border apprehensions at the southern border. For FY22, it spiked to 2,200,000. For this year, the number is going to be even higher. Blaming Mexico, or it's president Andrés Manuel López Obrador for this mess is just a tactic to divert attention.

Agree on human decency but I reckon in the present circumstances of their economy, it might be safe to assume that they need to be stricter on border controls? Much of the people who enter the country illegaly do not pay taxes and I am not trying to repeat racist arguments, however, they do get some job opportunities from legal immigrants.

Also, the Mexican cartel has made big business out of moving people across the border every year. They might be including their own members. I am quite certain that you would agree that this needs to be controlled.

Illegal aliens, especially those who are outside the Americas are paying as much as $20,000 to $25,000 to the cartel members to get them across the border. And anyway, the root cause of this issue is weak law enforcement within the United States. I think the recent turn of events will shape the outcome of this upcoming 2024 election. Many Americans who don't like what has been happening lately will vote en-mass to see trump back in the office. No government is perfect and I am no fan of politics, I don't like trump (I like some of his bold actions) but at this point I would rather see him back in the office. LOL.. this sort of crap is common in most of the Democrat controlled cities. First of all, they welcome the illegals with open arms and then spend billions of USD worth of funds on them. And when they run out of funds, they will cry that they are getting bankrupt. The Republican states are doing the right thing by shipping these migrants to sanctuary cities. Why should red states alone bear the burden for failed policies from Biden? Democrats created this issue, and let them deal with it. All the illegals should be shipped to cities such as New York, Los Angeles and New Jersey.

Why blame Mexico, when the Biden administration doesn't have any intent to stop the migrant flow? For Biden, a larger illegal alien population inside the USA is beneficial in the long run, as they are likely to vote for left-wing parties once they receive citizenship. Last year of Trump regime (2020) saw around 300,000 border apprehensions at the southern border. For FY22, it spiked to 2,200,000. For this year, the number is going to be even higher. Blaming Mexico, or it's president Andrés Manuel López Obrador for this mess is just a tactic to divert attention.

You should spend more time researching Bidens actual border policies instead of consuming Right wing pundit talking points.  I've already given you links and explanations on what Biden has done and is trying to do at the border, but it seems like you're not interested in reality, just repeating things you find in the rage bait right wing echo chamber.  Most of them are obviously false or misleading.   Do you even care?

It's an excuse to invade Mexico but I think the Mexican government is also not up to fight, they know it will only get worse if they fight the US military. It's very weird that people would be delusional enough to say stuff like "immigrants will vote left so they are allowed in" by a party that got 10+ million votes just last election anyway, and they are basically doing as well as they could hope for in the election world, and they are not even left if you think about it.

Anyone who thinks Biden is left must never check any other nation, Biden is a right wing, or at best a center-right person, he is nowhere NEAR left at all. Do you want to see left?
