I just added the music to make it a bit more lively.  Grin

I think it would be a little better if you could actually read what new "clusters" are being added, I can't seem to follow what's going on during the whole video... regardless it looks pretty cool Smiley

is your resolution high on the video stream?

Even on high resolution you can't read everything as there are sometimes so many files in a subdirectory that to cluster them together to show the entire picture of the project would be too big to fit in the screen.

It gives a general gist of what has been done in terms of who worked on what files and in what directories.

Pretty cool video but it is hard to read the texts even on a 50 inch plasma TV I use as my monitor although it is only 720p.  You can read everything just fine?

I don't think I can read everything even on the original video. The resolution is a bit better on the original. But when things cluster a lot you can't read anything anyway.

I’ve been using Monero for some time now but there has been one thing that I really didn’t understand. Until today, I’ve been using MyMonero wallet to send or receive XMR, and I’ve been curious about the “Mixin” feature. What is it used for? Sorry for the noob question, I’ve never used it before. Would anyone like to guide me?  Huh

Apart from that, I'm hoping to see Monero to have a price increase in the next year. I have the sense that 2016 will be the year of Monero. Just wait and see  Cheesy

Eventually Monero will eliminate the option to use mixin = 0 to prevent linkable transactions. For right now choose mixin = 2 or higher and everything good

Mixin is the number of transactions already on the blockchain that your transaction is "mixed" with, in the sense that the transaction is signed with a ring signature that says "this transaction could have come from x number of inputs" where x is the mixin #.

Of course, someone may explain it better than me but I think that is the gist of it.

Thanks for sharing this info, guys! You're awesome. I'm going to set the Mixin to a value of 3 for all of my transactions from now on. That's a very nice feature from Monero.  Cheesy

The long GBPJPY, long Wheat, long SPX, short TSY thing has been working pretty well the past week or so.  I think there are 3 or 4 days left in it, then I expect to short Spain, France before I short SPX again.  Some time soon, it will be time to long XAUXAG.  It would not be too early to start establishing that position, but it would be too early to go large in it.  I see the trade playing out over roughly 2-3 weeks.  My monkey likes BTC for 6 more days.  Monkey does not know about XMR, however, so I am on my own there.  What he does know is oil, and he thinks the rise has some strength in it, but sees it as a short opportunity in the making, rather than a new long position, and wants me to stay out for now.

The XBTUSD rise is pretty clearly linked to new USD weakness post-FOMC.  My general impression is that XMRUSD levels went down due to TC (et filia?) attempting a short gambit, but are generally pretty stable, having been taken down about 12% by the shorters, who have no more ammo left and are in fact feeling rather stupid and desperate since they lost too much on slippage.  I will try to pick up a few K here and there while it is cheap, since it probably won't last long.  The XMRXBT price will probably continue down while XBT is rising, but the XMRUSD price I don't see going significantly lower.  But I don't like talking without a monkey to back me up.  I feel so naked.

I wonder... if Norges Bank is liquidating EUR assets, and repatriating in NOK, the EURNOK short might outperform oil.  Oh but I hate to go there again after such a burn...

Little known fact: if you are using the current version of simplewallet, you can just leave the mixin out entirely and it will use 3.

The Monero bears and shorts will get to play until 0,9 is out. After that all bets are off.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

Wht do you mean. Beta of 0.9 for windows is available for a while. What would change for bears and shorts if 0.9 becomes stable?

He probably means tagged and released binaries after beta ends.  There are many Monero projects going on right now that being short seems very dangerous. There seems to far more to lose from shorting than to be gained right now.

CryptoKingdom registration being opened up again after the Ultima release will probably open some doors for Monero also. I've already got two guys from work signed up and they just heard me talking about it and asked how to sign-up. Apparently the investment/play aspect of the game appeals without any selling.
