I have a BTC -> XMR service ready to go.
If XMR is so great, then why would anyone trade them for bitcoins?

Who said anything about buying bitcoins? Pretty sure that the arrow is pointing towards XMR.
So who has the XMR that you would trade bitcoins? I can see selling fiat for XMR because fiat is shit and only good for paying taxes, but why would anyone throw away their wonderful XMR to someone with shitty bitcoins?

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

I have a BTC -> XMR service ready to go. Soon you will not need to use Shapeshift.io. I anticipate the launch to be within the next 2 weeks.

Prepare for Monerizer.

Wasn't the point of the service  but thats exacty xmr.to

The answer is to pay for things that take btc and anonymously.
Thank you. That clears up the motive behind selling XMR for bitcoins.

This is cross posting this from reddit from AP:

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/imf-director-tells-banks-do-not-worry-about-bitcoin-blockchain/

IMF Director says:

Quote
If those new technologies and as long as those new technologies are going to abuse, take advantage of, the yield for anonymity, I think the banking industry has quite a few good days ahead of it as long as it takes ownership of those issues of capital and culture in order to actually restore the trust without which you see no trade no transaction no business can take place.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what she is saying.

Is she saying "Because bitcoin is transparent, not to worry about it"?

Many of you have heard about not only bitcoins but blockchains and that unbelievable technology that underlies the Bitcoins of this world at the moment, and how incredibly convenient it will be to actually generate trust and identify players and whatever pseudo they decide to use.

Identify who? bitcoin users, or bitcoin creator(s)?

The elite like a stable system, but not so much transparency, only if they can use it.

I`m not sure where Monero fits in in their ideology, they seem pretty welcoming to bitcoin, but monero is really anonymous from what I heard, so i`m not sure if they like it or not.

I guess someone got tired of that manipulator with his little ask walls (1-4k). Nice buy though.

Instead of worrying about who placed that buy order you should be focusing on making it easier for more people to aquire and spend Monero. Contact Chinese exchanges and encourage businesses to accept Monero payments. With the new release usability will increase while CPU resource requirements will decrease.

I believe she means blockchain users in general (which of course includes bitcoin users). If more policy decisions are made in reliance on statements like this, interest in Monero should increase. Blockchain technology does not need to mean that transactions of all users are transparent! Monero gives users the choice on what transaction data they reveal, with privacy as a default.

I am much more excited about Monero development than price swings. My goal is to see widespread adoption of Monero as a currency. This made me more happy to see than the price increase today:

I have a BTC -> XMR service ready to go. Soon you will not need to use Shapeshift.io. I anticipate the launch to be within the next 2 weeks.

Prepare for Monerizer.

I am not a trader so my interest in development and adoption will always be greater than my concern for price.

For me personally shapeshift adds a lot of value to Bitcoin, as it gives me much stronger privacy by using Monero as an anonymous intermediary point. Specifically, I buy Monero on shapeshift, then sell it to xmr.to, which in turn sends bitcoins to the Bitcoin address of my choice.
