Looking to trade or buy S3 coupons. Need 19 of em. I have the following coupons I can trade : (1 coupon for 1 coupon). Ill need to buy the rest from you.

(1)AntMiner C1 Coupon 50 USD off
(3) AntMiner S4 Coupon 400 USD off

These are good until 12-15-14

I need to buy (19) S3 coupons. They sell for $1 a piece on Ebay so if anyone has a lot of 20, I can buy them for $20 in btc. Nobody on Ebay has 20, thats why I am asking here.

Does anyone know if bitmain will accept 20 coupons for 20 S3+?

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I am sorry for the dumb question, but I have been looking for how to and can not seem to find it.

First I have a S4 it was way to loud where it was so I decided to under clock it. Not really in it for the money.

I typed in freq 125 and voltage  0630 exactly on the adjustment page.

Without me doing anything it started hashing at the lower rate, and after about 5 Min it started beeping so I turned it off and back on.  Now it started the fans run really high and the display showed 127.0.0.1.

So I downloaded the firmware from Bitmain, unzipped it and copied it to the sd card, now it just spins the fan really fast.

I tried to use winimage but it keeps looking for a floppy drive?Huh

Can someone please tell me or point me to a link that details how to do this on a windows 8.1 machine?

Be gentle I am 67 years old and trying a new hobby.

I also have a C1 that needs flashed as it wont work either

Don't unzip anything, redownload it. Then use a program called sd card imager to load the image onto the SD card.

I am double posting this as I really need an answer soon S4 and C1 Support

I am trying to flash a file to a sd card

I downloaded the files tar.gz both for the S4 and the C1

I downloaded Win32Disk imager.

I put the SD cards in my computer, I can view the old files there are 7 of them.

I point Win32Disk imager to the downloaded tar.gz files.

I Point the Device to the SD card and select write.

I warns me and then writes.

I try to view the file on and it says I have to format the disk first.  {Okay I know I just viewed the previous image)

I put the card in the miner and it runs high fans for over 5 min and nothing at all happens, the fans do not slow down and the Watt meter does not register any real usage.

This should not be so difficult even for a old person like me.

Thanks for your thoughts

I have a 13 amp 250 volt PC power cord laying around.  I image it would be fine for the S4 running from a 120 volt socket?

Barely. Ideally you want 15 amps or better. Also keep in mind that it's the gauge that matters. If it's 14 AWG or better it will be fine.

This is very frustrating and I need help, I look online and every thing says to un-zip the files, then burn them to a SD card.  Here Dogie says to just burn "initramfs.bin.SD-20141016.tar.gz"  file with Win32 Disk.  I have tried and tried with both the S4 and the C1 nothing works. just fan playing very loud.

Does someone have an card image I can just copy to my SD card.

I live in the Seattle wa area and I am willing to pay some BC to someone who can get this going.  I have written to Bitmain, but still waiting for answers.  I have 3.5 tb of hashing currently with 3 tb sitting around doing nothing

Who should I talk to??

With SD cards, don't you need a card reader Huh

Something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/eSecure-Reader-Digital-Memory-Cards/dp/B003CKC8W8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1418029991&sr=8-2&keywords=sd+card+reader+for+pc

Or do you flash em thru the S4 Huh

Also,I thought any file labeled tar was for Linux/Ubuntu,not windows...........

apparently, Bitmain does not offer sending directly to Umisoo for hosting anymore. does anyone know why oe if there is a decent alternative? I'd like to order some more S4s, but it's impossible for me to host them.

1) download he latest https://www.bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=00720140930114518599JXGHWWD80660    (which you arrantly have)
2) buy a new class 10 SD card (microSD i beleive for the S4). often the original SD becomes irrepairably corrupted during power cycles or circuit trips.
3) use SDFormatter https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/    wipe the SD clean
4) etract the file initramfs.bin.SD from the .tar.gz download (use winrar)
5) copy this file to the SD using win32 disk imager.

this should work - i dont think the other files in that folder are necessary unless doing the upgrae via the s4 web interface. all you need in your case is that .bin.sd file within.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

I have tried that several times.  I am using a new class 10 card, it loads the files on the disk, put it in the miner and just loud fans. But it is drawing 300 watts at the wall.

A member here sent me an img file for the c1.  It copied over perfect, I was able to read the files on my PC, and the C1 started hashing.  It had Dogies pools in it but that was easy to change.  I was also configured for another IP I found that on my modem, and away we go.

Could someone send me a img file of a working S4
