1321  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Svi altocini su prevara on: October 02, 2023, 10:07:03 PM
Nije 100% ali 99% altcoina je prevara, a onih 1% su izradili idealisti koji misle da će njihov altcoin napraviti neku razliku a šanse za to su male.

Inflacija je prevara veća od shitcoina, tj. oporezivanje siromašnih.
1322  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: October 02, 2023, 10:00:51 PM

1323  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tor was not working on: September 30, 2023, 08:18:58 PM
Suggestions please.
Defender usually makes false positives a lot, so please STOP using wind0ws 0S spyware.
Linux OS (Fedora, Mint, Debian...) is free alternative and you won't have any issues with malware.
1324  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone been using Pyypl? It seems a potential virtual card can use crypto as wel on: September 30, 2023, 08:15:34 PM
Are you familiar with Pyypl? Though it does require KYC, it could use crypto to create a virtual master card and be used everywhere. Funds could be sent through a banking channel as well as in a legal way that considers remittance.
I never heard about it, but I don't se any reason why people would use this instead of similar products from more reputable company, since both are asking for KYC verification.
Smaller company usually means more risk for hacks, frozen coins, and companies shutting down business without explanation.

Do you know how much we need to pay for creating cards, and what fees they have, since I found nothing about this on their website?
1325  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] The Anon virtual VISA card, No personal information needed. on: September 30, 2023, 07:48:24 PM
Today we introduce the world to the Anon Virtual Visa® Card.
Can you show us some proof that you are official registered company working with Visa?
I would love to see your office and Anon team behind this project.

This looks like another scam like we saw before several times with cards like this, maybe even made by the same people who made PST.NET cards or coinpaycard.net.
Design is similar and domain is recently registered, so I would be very careful before sending any coins to this website.

Maybe I am wrong about this, maybe Anon team is willing to give few cards for testing to trusted forum members.

How can I contact you? I wrote to your email a few days ago support@[banned mixer] , but have not received an answer so far
I have no idea what is going on with this mixer, but you can try to write them PM in forum, since they were active few days ago:

1327  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: September 30, 2023, 06:43:50 PM
Actually reducing to a 1024x1024 aspect ratio seems adequate to me, for most cases. I am going to try.
You can also add option on Talkimg website when people try to upload larger size images they would receive message asking user to resize image to specific ratio or to allow automatic resizing.
I don't think this would be hard to implement since there is already tool for resizing on Talkimg, that would save time for everyone.
One example of image I talked about before that is around 6mb file size, after I did manual resize on my computer to 1000 pixels, image size shrinked to only 162 Kb.

No word about Mixin $200 million hack from you, or from developers?
1329  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Alternate to Trading View on: September 30, 2023, 06:06:40 PM
I would like to know if there is any alternative to the trading view which gives similar fractionality like a trading view but it is totally free of cost and provides similar value.
One alternative I know is website gocharting.com that has free version plan, and paid versions are currently $7 and $17 per month.
I didn't use this website very much and I don't know pros and cons compared to original tradingview.
Few more alternative can be found on alternativeto:

1330  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What is the purpose of the scope_v2.json file in the Trezor wallet? on: September 29, 2023, 08:05:11 PM
Microsoft Defender Antivirus
Oh that ''antivirus'' will save you from absolutely nothing, but it will give you huge false sense of security.   Tongue
I didn't notice anything strange with Trezor Suite, but it's open source so you can report that to Trezor github, maybe they will contact micr0s9ft to whitelist specific file.

should I be worried?
No.
This crap is giving false positive reports all the time.
Disable Defender, or even better option - switch to Linux OS.
1331  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 45 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: September 29, 2023, 08:00:31 PM
I open-sourced the Hardware & Software Wallets databases.
You really did amazing work in last few months, website is really useful and not only for hardware wallets, but for software wallets, books, etc.
I see you have seed backup section, so are you planning to add more information, detials and prices for that category as well?
Note that there are much more seed backup products available than hardware wallets Wink

Current selection is not that great:

1332  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: September 29, 2023, 07:39:09 PM
Anytime I connect Orbot, it always still fail Tor, but if I did not connect Orbot, it did not fail again as it was in version 0.35.0. Is Unstoppable having inbuilt Tor?
Yes it does but you have to enable it in settings because it's not enabled by default.
I can confirm that previous version 0.35 really had a problem with Tor connection, so I had to get back using previous version, now I can switch to 0.35.1
I hope they didn't break something again  Tongue
1333  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: September 29, 2023, 07:34:55 PM
They made an update to June 3rd Event Statement the other say.
Still says  'not our fault, looking in to it'
I would be interested to find out what math they used exactly to calculate that only 0.1% atomic users got affected by this issue  Roll Eyes
In best case this can only be people who contacted them and reported loss of coins with transactions they didnt make, and nobody knows how many people never contacted atomic amateurs.
New statement can be used for bitcoin wallet: not open source, not your coins.
1334  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [100 dots] seed phrase backup on: September 29, 2023, 07:26:10 PM
Who's going to suspect a metal plate with "random" holes to hold your money?
People who know about bitcoin and seed phrase backup solution probably know about similar system like this.
This is not the first time I see stainless seed plates that use combination of letters and number that combine to seed words, but I never like it.
I don't think this is bad in any way but I think it's inferior compared to Steel Washer backup, maybe because you need to have the full list of seed words.
Positive side is that it's probably easier do stamp dots on stainless seed plate (or paper).

One bitcointalk member willi9974 is selling similar product Willi's Recovery Seed Plate:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5323755.0

OneKey is selling similar plates made from aircraft-grade titanium:
https://onekey.so/products/onekey-keytag/

All Metal Bitcoin Seed Storage Reviewed by Jameson Lopp contain several plates like this:

1335  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Question about Imported wallet and its address on: September 29, 2023, 07:15:27 PM
These are just questions running through my head out of curiosity.
Why would you complicate so much, and why would you even use junk wallets like trust wallet in the first place?
If you want to use different wallets that are better and open source simply send coins to newly generated address in Electrum.
Before that you can also generate seed words offline to minimize risks.
1336  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mixin Safe: A Convenient and Decentralized Multisig + MPC + Timelock solution on: September 28, 2023, 09:56:57 PM
It was a different service. Mixin Safe has been reviewed by users on this forum. However, from what I understand, Mixin Safe hasn't actually been hacked. On the other hand, Mixin Messenger (which includes an integrated crypto wallet) had over a million users. My hunch is that the wallet that got hacked is linked to their custodial wallet service within Mixin Messenger.
Mixin Messenger was the part of review because many people used it in combination with Mixin Safe as part of their multisig setup, including me, this was clearly mentioned in official campaign rules.
They just forked open source Signal messenger and added centralized coin storing that was connected with cloud service.
I probably still have keys somewhere but I didn't run Messenger to see if it's even working now.

I've seen several incorrect posts by now. To be clear: Mixin lost $200M, not Mixin Safe.
Product is different, but company and owners are obviously the same.
If micr0s0ft or apple get hacked and lost all their money it will affect all of their products.

- Prepare Members Wallet: Get Mixin Messenger
- Set Mixin Messenger PIN
- Add Mixin Messenger Contacts: Please ask all safe members to add each other as a contact in Mixin Messenger, including yourself.

- To active Mixin Messenger, you can use a throwaway phone number

It was a good idea for some people that used temp phone numbers afterall Wink
1337  Other / Archival / Re: Crypto Debit Cards Observer on: September 28, 2023, 09:04:05 PM
Hey man, do some better research before posting cards, this PST cards are obvious SCAM!
They even scammed bitcointalk member Maris Lunt who sent coins from Coinbase, they have negative feedback, and there are several opened flags against them in forum.
Ever since this incident they are missing from forum, and they will never come back.

1338  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [List] Telegram in-app wallet on: September 28, 2023, 08:41:26 PM
As far as I know, Telegram is created and still owned by Russians. I don't think they care much about the SEC.
I don't think Pavel Durov lives in Russia, and country of Russia was blocking and banning Telegram for years.
SEC can always order for Telegram ban or cnesorship like it happened in this countries:

I heard about telegram wallet but I never used it.
They use some weird closed source encryption, and I wouldn't trust it as crypto wallet, unless if it's for popcorn money.

1339  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2023 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: September 28, 2023, 08:23:17 PM
Which mixer is the most reliable and trusted now? If I had to mix large amount what would be the best choice?
Decentralized options are safest option especially for larger amount of coins, something like original Coinjoin is good, or even better option is Joinmarket, but it's a bit more complicated to use.
You need to run your own bitcoin node, there is no central coordinator, no central point of failure, and everything is free.
Maybe you should start by researching jamapp.org website for modern Joinmarket interface.

1340  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: September 28, 2023, 08:11:40 PM
As much as I like the free raffles, I think it's a terrible idea to combine the slogan "Your Anonymity Is Our Priority" with physical items delivered to your doorstep.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but you can always deliver this cards in simple envelope to PO Box with different name.
I wish there was some better way of anonymous worldwide shipping option, maybe something like I heard about anon shipping in Japan (not sure how it works in real life).

Another cool alternatve would be DIY 3d printed cards, if this is even possible.
In theory you receive the files online and you print them at your home to physical card.
Can someone make my dream ideas into reality please?  Cheesy
