Coach Pop grabbing the mic to tell the crowd in San Antonio to quit booing Kawhi was pretty crazy. Even the announcers commented that they’d never seen anything like that before. Good on coach Pop to have the crowd show some class. Also nice to see the Clippers putting together a winning streak after their rough start.

Between Binance unwinding their BS positions to actually get on par with holding their customer deposits instead of using them to inflate their holdings and mtgox seemingly ready to begin distributing coins, you have to expect a little turbulence here. These are the last speed bumps before takeoff for Bitcoin though. I’d take advantage of a big dip in the coming months if we see one.

A couple of good games airing on ESPN tonight as we roll into the holidays. First up the Bucks vs the Celtics. This should be a great game with 2 of the best teams in the league. Then we have the Suns vs the Warriors. I’m expecting the Suns to win this game easily as the Warriors have been struggling a bit, so it might be worth betting on.

To sue an exchange is the new china bans bitcoin?  Roll Eyes

Losing binance shouldn't effect King Daddy at all and might help by curtailing the shitcoin Eth tard manipulators but Kraken is a good onboarding platform that would suck to lose.

Kraken closed my account with no notice and no reason given. When I contacted them they told me they couldn’t give me any more information. Pretty shady considering I’ve hardly used the exchange at all in years. As far as I’m concerned, good riddance. I’m also glad I got my mtgox claim transferred to a different exchange.

That's not shady at all and gave you tons of information.

Riddle me this...Do you think they did it because they don't like you so singled you out and decided not to take your fees?

No, I think I was probably a part of a wave of account closures from old accounts that maybe don’t generate them any money in fees, so they’re cleaning the slate. Just a wild guess. I’m sure if I was a high value user of the exchange that generated any fees for them at some point in the last several years, they probably would’ve kept it open.

As a Donator I can tell you that we have our own exclusive section of the forum (which controversially staff members are also able to participate in) and there are a few Donators such as myself that occasionally post things in there. A quick glance at that section looks like TradeFortress was that last VIP to post anything in there.
Good to read from you and to also know that there is a section of the forum only available to donators and staff. I guess the lasts post there would be somewhere 2021 Grin. Thanks for your contribution and retained passion in bitcoin and the forum at large .

Here is the last post information from the Donators section of the forum. Hopefully I’m not breaking any rules.

It appears that maybe it is a little more frequently used than you expected, but most of the recent posts in there are people asking who is still active and what they’re up to these days.
1606  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CZ officially bids goodbye to Binance. Will Binance Crash or still stand Strong? on: November 22, 2023, 06:04:03 AM
I think it is likely that the market will experience a little pain as Binance tries to come into compliance with the desires of regulators. Getting rid of CZ was probably step one, but I imagine their balance sheet will have to go through some drastic changes in order to keep the company operating. This will likely be most obvious in the price of BNB and whatever other currencies Binance used as collateral.

I was glad to see the Phoenix Suns win another one. Can’t wait to see if that squad can get all their pieces working together before the playoffs roll around. The Lakers looked dominant out there. An unusually low scoring game from LeBron but the team dominated. They’re suddenly playing like every game is the Finals to get that tourney bonus money.

I just received a new email from mtgox. In it, there is an interesting line that reads, “ The Rehabilitation Trustee plans to commence repayment to creditors shortly.” I would say you can take anything in these emails with a grain of salt, but that is for sure the most definitive statement regarding repayments that I’ve read to date.
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 22, 2023, 12:36:27 AM
Hell no… Why would you crowdfund for an irresponsible gambler? Thats like giving a crackhead a bunch of crack and then feeling good about yourself because this time they’re not going to smoke it all and buy more, they’re going to use it to ween themselves off crack. This is a sub-80 IQ line of thinking you’d only hear from a Biden voter.

Many got panic on thay news and they think it will be huge disaster for crypto to lose cz or even binance. But if they just widen up their minds they can see a lot of reputable exchange still running if binance will get affected on the issue.

Kraken is one best alternative with that and it seems many people doesn't get a damn on the news that's why a slight downfall only happen since many are not totally affected with current news about CZ plead guilty news. Still best to hodl no issue could stop this upcoming bullrun  Smiley.

CZ stepping down is because he knows he did the exact same thing with Binance that SBF did with FTX. The only difference was that Binance had enough customer funds on deposit that they were able to hold the price of BNB up to avoid liquidations. As soon as they started offering wild rates again for stablecoins it was obvious they’re sitting on a house of cards. Hopefully everything unwinds without crashing the market too badly.

The Sacramento Kings are having a pretty good year so far building on what they were able to accomplish last year. Now they’re saying that they are going to get aggressive at the trading deadline but I’m not sure who is available that that could target. Maybe DeMar DeRozan but I’m not sure how well he would fit into their offense.

I'm not sure if trading for another superstar will help them improve their roster, because what I can see with them since last year is that they need time to gel together and figure out how to win games in the playoffs. They already have a solid team chemistry that compliments each and every pieces in their roster. If they want to make a trade for another superstar, it would most probably going to involve Keegan Murray, Kevin Huerter, Malik Monk, Harris Barnes 1 or 2 of these players will get involved with the trade, we all know they won't send Sabonis and Fox away for a trade. Either of those 4 guys I've mentioned played a vital role for the team's success so far, so It's going to be gamble anyway. We've seen several teams who acquired 1-2 superstars recently, but didn't work well.

Ya, I’m not sure it would work well either. I definitely wouldn’t let Malik Monk go, even if I could trade him straight up for DeMar DeRozan… The Kings seem to have found a special sauce, so I’m worried how new ingredients will effect them. I’d also hate to see them waste Fox and Sabonis the way they wasted DeMarcus Cousins though.

I sort of think you’re reaching here. You might as well throw in hand eye coordination and statistical analysis. The truth is though, trying to use your gambling experience as career skills will mostly likely make you look like an idiot to a recruiter, as the statistics show it’s against you so a critical thinker wouldn’t engage in that behavior…

1615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am the creator of Bitcoin on: November 21, 2023, 08:37:17 PM
I, Satoshi Nakamoto, decide to come out of the shadows and tell you about how I created Bitcoin.

The idea was born in 2008, when I was thinking about the problems of existing financial systems. My plan began to take shape and I decided to use the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto to preserve my anonymity.

The first lines of code were written in early 2009. I set out to create a decentralized system free from government and bank interference. Mining, blockchain, cryptography - every element was carefully designed.

The first transaction in Bitcoin's history - a transfer of 10 BTC to my own address - occurred on January 12, 2009. It was a small step for the blockchain, but a giant leap into a new era of finance.

Over time, the community began to grow and my role as a creator became an increasingly incredible legend. Today, having decided to step out of the shadows, I'm sharing this story - a story that changed the financial world.

Well, technically you aren’t totally wrong as we are all satoshi now. Well, everyone except Craig Wright who was proven not to be satoshi beyond a reasonable doubt. So ya, everyone is satoshi except Craig Wright. As long as you aren’t Craig Wright, you can call yourself satoshi. I hope this makes you feel better about your claim.

1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 21, 2023, 07:10:34 PM
A lot of close matchups today. I think the only bet I’d feel comfortable making is the Phoenix Suns beating the Portland Trail Blazers in a parlay with the Los Angeles Lakers beating the Utah Jazz. The odds probably aren’t good enough to bother with single bets, but I feel pretty good that both those teams should pull out victories tonight.
1618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 21, 2023, 08:17:05 AM
Nice to see the Warriors get a win and break their losing streak as the sudden losing streak for the Rockets continues. It’s like the league figured out how to beat them. The story of the night might be LaMelo Ball turning into a bonfire superstar in Charlotte as he helped lead them to a win over the Boston Celtics.
1619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Argentina Be The Next El Salvador To Accept Bitcoin As Legal Tender? on: November 21, 2023, 01:42:21 AM
He never said that he's planning to make it a legal tender, but there's a good chance that he will, giving his extreme political views. Or maybe he'll find another way to make it easier to use Bitcoin for the population, starting with lowering the regulations on Bitcoin and lowering or even removing taxes. I'm sure that he will do at least something for Bitcoin, and that's already good news even for those who aren't from Argentina, because it will boost the price, especially now that the market will soon turn bullish and all the positive news will get amplified.

He said he was going to end central banking in his country. Sure seems like he’s going to at least consider the possibility of using Bitcoin a la El Salvador. Now that the price is rising again people seem to think that was a good idea for them.

Only bet I would be willing to make is that this contest will continue letting men compete and the event will lose more and more money each year.
