2021  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin scenario crashing to $20.000 - $23.000 on: July 14, 2022, 07:44:50 PM
Today the price is up about 2% but still around $19k, hopefully it will return to $23k tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, and the next target is July can return to $40k, nothing is impossible because rising tens of percent has happened and often happens in a day.

Don't get ahead of your self mate, $40k is unlikely, we are still in the bear market, and this recent spike could not be sustain then we will go back below $20k again. We even reaches as high as almost $22k if I'm not mistaken last week and yet it did go down again. And which means that speculators are playing the market, and whenever they see a good chance to sell and make a profit they will do it. So I'm expecting the same here, if we ever reaches $22k this week, I'm expecting another sell-off. So this might be another trap being set to us by manipulators so just be careful and just expect the worst this year.
2022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 14, 2022, 07:22:03 PM

Casimero and Ancajas are now the bright prospects of bringing glory to the PH in the world of boxing.

I think Casimero is now the best fighter in the Philippines, if only his title was not stripped, he could fight Inoue and we will see how far Inoue could go against him. I believe that Casimero will become a champion soon, and we will have a Filipino champion to follow again.

Filipino boxers are so unlucky this year.

Casimero
Magsayo
Donaire.

They all lose their title this year.

Well, that's boxing though, sometimes you lose, in the case of Casimero, he lost his belt on the weighing scale. While Donaire to a young monster and then Magsayo fell short because his talent seems to be raw.

As for Nietes, same case with Donaire, old and aging champion that wanted to bring back the time. But Ioka was the better fighter. He is at his prime and Nietes has no answer when the bell rings. And there was no controversy, as he lost badly, but during his prime, he is one of the PH best.
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Popular Themes for Online Slot on: July 14, 2022, 07:01:43 PM
Nah, no particular favorite, as long as I enjoy the game and the graphics and the audio, I will go and try and play that one. Although I will admit that I'm biased with the animal theme slot since I hit a massive win the the 50 lions. And then there is this Marvel theme slot that I used to play in a land base casinos and then the old but classic Egyptian theme which is one of the first slots that I played years ago.
2024  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish VS Bearish on: July 11, 2022, 08:14:31 AM
The development of the world economy and the potential for a recession is indeed very interesting to follow, especially in the crypto market in this case BTC. There are many views from some financial analysts, analyzing the value of BTC will fall to US $ 1,100 price and some say Bitcoin is very bullish going forward.

If BTC will fall wit $1,100, what will happen to stocks then? doesn't make sense that it will only be crypto that is going to fall hard, every market will have to suffer. They are just pinpointing, for reasons only known to them, that BTC will go down to that kind of random numbers.

How does BTC answer it as the King of the Crypto world???

Nothing, BTC will go as normal, it's a bear market right now so price will dump. But so far we have reach the all time low of $17,500 and it seems it will be the bottom for this year. So have recovered already to $20k++ and this is the support for now.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 11, 2022, 07:48:10 AM
There are still rumours about Lakers to trade Kyrie Irving with Russell Westbrook now. This rumours are making me really excited already.
Man, rumors are so exhausting. Just get it done. Kyrie trade for Westbrook in Lakers has been in the news for only God knows how long. Get it done please. In my opinion the Nets and Lakers are in bad situations and this could be a win/win for both. Westbrook is not as bad people now portray him, he was just a terrible fit in LA. He's still exciting, brings fans in and recently helped the Wizards get into the playoffs with not much else other than Beal. The Nets can't do any worse than getting swept in the 1st round, have Simmons and will get pieces for KD. Make the trade deal happen.

Yeah, I stop reading about the KD and Irving drama, too many teams are into the picture. Might be better to wait officially if KD will be traded this year or stay with the Nets until a viable team is willing to let go of their superstars in exchange of him.

Good to see a lot of former Warriors getting a good salary, it's like they hit the jackpot playing with the Warriors and winning the title. Now they are getting like at least x3 of their last salary with the Warriors if I'm not mistaken, just like in the Gary Payton contract with Portland
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 11, 2022, 07:23:44 AM

Mark Magsayo started to show some stamina loss in just the 4th round. That was unusual to him.

Rey Vargas really put a tough job on the champion making Magsayo release much effort right at the early rounds. Magsayo's quickness that supposed to be his advantage, isn't utilized much. However, even with that situation, the Champion was able to put some damage too on his challenger in the later rounds but Vargas owned him in the end.

115-112 Vargas, 114-113 Magsayo, 115-112 Vargas - almost a unanimous decision for Vargas.

So unfortunate for Magsayo but Vargas deserves the win. Big Respect to him.

Agreed. I stopped watching on round 8 because it was beginning to become very boring. Anyone who was watching would know already that Vargas would be the winner.

Also, were much of the voters of the poll from the Philippines? There are 15 votes for Magsayo and there is only 1 vote for Vargas hehehehe. Who is the Mexican poster in the thread?

Same here, didn't finished the fight, it was obvious that the boxer I'm supporting is not going to win because he didn't have any to offer in this fight. He talks about Vargas not running, but he didn't have the skills as well and make the fight exciting.

And I will say that it was really boring, a snoozer fight and I'm right. When I check the score afterwards it is Vargas who won on the score card. So I guess Magsayo is just another hype fighter, just B level to me, in my opinion. Not in the same breathe as other Filipino greats like Manny and Nonito.
2027  Economy / Speculation / Re: “When” Will Bitcoin Price Break $69k All Time High? on: July 09, 2022, 03:12:02 PM
All predictions are focused on the bitcoin halving event as history has shown it always happens, but a prediction is just a prediction until it happens. History also may not repeat like how bitcoin fell below the most recent ATH, it has never happened before.
It is possible that a new ATH will come after the halving or even sooner because the market is no longer what it once was, the market moves in a better direction. When at this moment we have big investors like countries, companies and corporations.

Most probably after though, we haven't seen such event in its young history to have a new all time high prior to the halving. The new bull run will have to take another shape or form, it could be countries, not just El Salvador, companies, Michael Saylor and other billionaires. And of course, retail investors like you and me who are going to grow big again in the next 2-3 years that will push the price to a new all time high.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 09, 2022, 12:26:16 PM
So another clinic has been put up by Djokovic against Norrie. Losing the first set and then winning the next in spectacular fashion.

This is now becoming a routine for Djokovic to lose the initial set but then come back strong in the remaining sets. However, this is also a nightmare for the bookmakers as when Djokovic loses initial sets, its obvious they had to increase the odds for him. That's the best time to place a bet on Djokovic  Wink
Norrie, played well in the first set but then never looked the same in the remaining three sets. What could get wrong with him that he lost consecutive three sets after winning the first one?

Yes, interesting question. Perhaps the problem is that Djokovic had a big break after the GS in Paris and needed time to raise the level of his game?
If Djokovic continues this tradition, we can probably expect him to lose the first and maybe the second set in the final, so we can bet on that too  Grin
I think Kyrgios will be the biggest challenge for Djokovic in this tournament and he will have to be careful to keep his concentration during the match because Kyrgios will surely try everything to disrupt his game.

Yeah, it will be Nick obviously, and the biggest challenge for Nick is... himself. He seems to be relentless though in this tournament and very unforgiving to his opponents and the crowd. Djokovic knows this, and just maybe will not give Nick any first set. Because he knows that Nick maybe has something that might throw his concentration off by his antics to disrupt Djokovic. So to get a 'sure' win, Djokovic be better on a spree as early as the first set.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 09, 2022, 12:00:09 PM
^^ I guess the exhibition match is now the in for those who have retired, boxers, MMA fighters and others sports. So why not Manny? He has all the rights to do that as well and then earn some money. And I think he can still draw crowds, although he may have take so much damage through out his career, but it seems he has rested already and the body has healed as well. And for sure, this is just the start for Manny, maybe we can see him in the right with much known fighters such as Conor.
2030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 09, 2022, 11:36:54 AM
Durant is known for leaving the team if he knew that he can’t carry it or get a great achievement on it
That's not true, he leads the Warriors in 2 straight championships and still he leaves the team.
Yeah, he helped the Warriors for two seasons to take the ring, and then the team has proven too that they can make it even without KD.

Yes, that's one chip in the shoulder of Curry, that's why the emotions in the 6th game when they finally win the NBA trophy. Now he proves them wrong.

Durant will try to prove something and that is if he can carry the team, and the experiment with the Nets was a failed one and now he is looking for a new team to experiment with.
He's like that typical guy that really wants to prove something that he can do. He's done that part for him with the help of his former teammates on GSW. Now that he seems to be f*cked up with the Nets, he has to do something to find a better team that has a chance in qualifying in the finals.

And he has been criticized as well by many basketball analyst, leaving Nets and then the Warriors winning the championship? That could really hurt Durant inside that's why he wanted to leave and find a new team to win again. But time is running out, it will be hard to find a championship caliber team in exchange of him.
2031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum Dominance on: July 08, 2022, 10:49:52 PM
Will a new king of the cryptocurrency market will come?

The new king of the crypto market is not coming. Bitcoin is often compared to Ethereum and various predictions are made about the future of these assets. But these coins were initially positioned as completely different projects from each other and there is no point in considering them as competing products. Ethereum has already confidently taken its second place in the market and will remain so. Ethereum is the basis of blockchain products and the main foundation of the modern blockchain industry, while Bitcoin is an exchange investment asset.

Bitcoin will always take the lead and this has happened a lot of times. Others thought that Ethereum could be on top replacing Bitcoin but it didn't happen. Ethereum has huge potential but Bitcoin will always be consistent and will remain on top because it's the king of all cryptocurrencies. All altcoins including Ethereum will always rely on it.
Back then when the market was way smaller some people really thought that ethereum had a chance to surpass bitcoin and become the most dominant coin in this market, but since then a lot of things have happened and now we do not see those discussions anymore, and it is not difficult to see why, after ethereum got incredibly close to surpass bitcoin the distance between the two coins has become immense, and even if ethereum has reached new all time highs in terms of fiat it has never come close to surpass its all time high in bitcoin terms and I think it is reasonable to assume that it will never do.

That was 2017, still very early for crypto market and bitcoin. And with so many FUD back then with bitcoin, it went down hard and the Ethereum rises up, that's small chance for Ethereum to take over didn't materialized though. But it was a good and scary to see that time, when we thought that Bitcoin will lost everything. But this two crypto, became dominant up to this time, and that is the most important. Bitcoin the top crypto and then Vitalik's Ethereum, although a lot of competition as well, become the best Dapps and altcoin.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 08, 2022, 01:47:43 PM
Nadal walking over against kyrgios is not what i would excpect i hope he does not have an injury and if he does i hope its not a bad one this year he has been excelent so far he won two consecutive grand slams and i thought he might win this one too but its too bad, djokovic odds vs norrie are unexpectedly low i think it will be more close than the odds suggest.

It could be worst that we though, that is the same injury that he had before and then he re-injured it again, not a good sign, maybe it's the wear and tear and taking a toll on his body.

I put a bet on Norrie +7.5 at 2.00, expecting him to at least give Djokovic a good match in the semis. The game is about 20 minutes from now and hopefully we can see great tennis.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 08, 2022, 12:38:52 PM
That's a big challenge for him, he has to start over again but it's never too late for him, he has the heart of a champion, it's just that he struggle to keep the weight in the division where he was a champion.

Yeah, but Casimero is already on his prime years and he just wanted a couple of fights already. So if he will start all over at the new weight class, it might be too late for him to get another belt. The perfect time is when he won it against Tete, then defended it against Duke Micah and unfortunately he can't do it against Butler. And there are no fights for him this year, so another chances squandered.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 08, 2022, 12:04:16 PM
^^ I guess it's how boxing is right now, or at least in the last 20 years, it is being controlled by few and very powerful men.

It's not just the promoters themselves, but we also have the network wars, like HBO and Showtime, and now DAZN and ESPN.

Al Haymon is very powerful and same as Bob Arum or before that, Don King. So it's a vicious cycle than only few men really benefited.

I guess Bob's careful match making, and that's why he made a lot of champions, and not sure about it, but perhaps it was all in-house championship fights.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 08, 2022, 11:30:17 AM

There is still a long time for the 2022-23 season to start. It is going to be underway on October 18, 2022. Lakers have a long time period ahead to think about the new team composition that they should be building for next season. Their lineup was really inadequate last season and Lebron had to do all the work. This caused them to have a poor season and say goodbye to the playoff round before even it started. Lebron must be waiting for proper trades to be motivated to continue playing for them.
A month is actually too short for forming a team that will compete (I mean aim for playoff spot). With that short preparation, you won't get a cohesive team especially if they made a lot of changes.

Lakers will get to the playoffs if they will make the right changes, they are just unlucky last season because Davis was injured most of the time and Westbrook seemed to be playing like he had not won an MVP before. That mistake has to be corrected, and if one of the big 3 will be traded, I'm not sure if they have time to build that chemistry again.

There's a lot of pressures during that time on the Lebron shoulders specially after getter Westbrook and then his friend Carmelo.

Then Davis got injured, Westbrook was a big disappointment. And let's see what they will do next season, they have hired a new coach so that's already a breathe of fresh air but still it will be up to Lebron to do everything to bring the Lakers to the playoffs. Not necessarily to the finals because competition is very high in the West. But at least in the playoffs will be good enough.
2036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we reached a bottom price for BTC? on: July 07, 2022, 10:55:19 PM
I don't think that anybody can tell for sure now if the bottom has been reached or not. That will be something we'll know when we'll look back after we are certain we're back in bull run.
What I'll do for now? I won't necessarily buy more, instead I'll try to avoid selling the coins received from signature campaign. Still something...

Bitcoin's prices have been acting like crazy these days. It stays between the $19k - $20k range with no indication of going up anytime soon. If buy pressure remains low, then it's possible BTC will slip below $19k. Considering that the global economy is in taters, it's going to take quite some time before BTC will experience a new All-time-high. We've yet to see how the market will react after the BTC halving in 2024. All we can do now is buy, "hodl", and wait until everything goes back to normal. Selling your BTC now will give power to the whales. Who knows what the future holds for the entire crypto/Blockchain industry? Just my thoughts Grin

Yeah, same here, we might see the price just tanking around $19k-$21k. And then we will have to dell with this news:  Fed says sharply higher rates may be needed to quell inflation.

So the future doesn't look good at all, so I'm thinking that the possibility of another bottom could be just around the corner. As you have said, the world is somewhat a mess and because of the war, every major commodity price are rising.
2037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 07, 2022, 10:30:42 PM

Many are underestimating Fortuna and always looking forward to Ryan Garcia's next fight because Javier Fortuna is a nobody, I should say I don't want Garcia to underestimate Javier Fortuna, just b because of his hype, but I got to admit the next fight for this kid, will be the most anticipating fight in all boxing, Jervonta "Tank" Davis is a monster and the kind of uppercuts, likely a calculating opponent and surely a technical genius so Ryan Garcia needs a little smarty moves aswell,

And the fact that Davis was still in his prime while the young Garcia might need more solid boxing experienced, in this upcoming

fight with Fortuna, he needs to show more skills and maturity. If he continues to be more predictable, facing Davis would be

his nightmare. Davis is a monster indeed. He will keep throwing solid punches if you try fighting toe-to-toe and what I see

from Garcia's style, he will dwell with that and also will try his strength. But we never know, maybe a lucky solid punch

will be his ticket to earn a belt Roll Eyes

Davis has more experience and a bit older than Garcia that's why he is now on his prime. And this team was really very active picking fights for him, another reason that he had grown and developed at his young age.

While Garcia, we all know what happen to him, he has mental issues, wasn't able to fight in the last couple of years. So he has a lot of catching up to do. This is just his second fight after the recovery and so we want more from him before fighting the likes of Tank Davis.
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 07, 2022, 01:10:52 PM
Here's the salary of the Wizards roster.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/washington-wizards/cap/

Porzingis is next to Beal with $33 million by next season, and I don't think the Wizards will try to trade him but I'm sure there's still some place to add role players that will make the roster of the Wizards deep.

Yeah, we forget about KP, he did have some good games when he was traded to the Washington and hopefully he can still contribute big. It's that that he is also injury prone and in Dallas he was just a shell of his old self.

But let's see how KP will do next season, a lot is expected on his shoulder and maybe adding a good players won't hurt their salary cap.
2039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shorting lunc (former original luna) and losing 99% assets on: July 07, 2022, 12:35:50 PM
Well they can blame it to their supposedly "AI" trading bot, Lol. So what lessons do we learn from here?

1. Bots are not a sure fire to give you profits, and as much as you claim that it is very intelligent enough to predict and forecast the market? Still going to fail because of so many factors.

2. Don't put your asset into one basket. If you have done this with Luna, obviously, by now you have lost your crypto investment.

3. Just trust yourself, no need to used those so called services, because again, it's not a guarantee.

Yeah, just shows that mankind and gambling have co-existed for centuries, as dice game is one of the oldest if not the oldest known form of gambling.

And it has evolved a lot, thousands of years and yet we are still playing it, with our computers. And imagine how it will be in the future.
