2061  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculators : Bitcoins is up now 21k buy buy buy ! but... on: June 27, 2022, 08:44:24 AM
Speculators : "Bitcoins is up now 21k buy buy buy ! yeah 100k coming soon  "....but it was 47k this March and 61k in 2021 ... so how the ..f..uck is bitcoin a winner ?

The only guys that won are speculators/traders that pumped and dumped and miners, the rest got wiped out ...

It starting to feel that "Bitcoin game" is a scam ...a big ponzi ...

In short term, There's really a possibility that a short term outbreak will occur since Bitcoin already consolidated above 20K for multiple daily candle which is a good sign that bulls is already in control but those shills stating that Bitcoin will go to 100K with just current short term pump is surely playing the ponzi game that you are describing.

You can have a profit by playing smart and know when to TP but this is a pure gambling because there's a bunch of trader that doing do it so make sure to set target limit when buying the dip.

I guess it could be good or bad for the market, the $100k projected really did pump the price but only up to $69k. And that is the max that we can in the last bull run. I guess the shills will continue to predict it though till the next bull run.

Of course, playing smart in this game is the key, this is not a sprint, bitcoin trading is a journey and a marathon. And remember that we have a cycle to work.

I won't comment on the Ponzi Scheme argument because clearly it is not.

First round of Wimbledon will start in about 5-6 hours from now, my time.

I'm excited because we will have another very tough grand slams and of course our chance to bet and win again. Hurkacz vs Fokina might be a good one in this first round.

Djokovic vs Kwon and then Alcaraz vs Struff, Sinner and Wawrinka as well. Time to put some parlays for higher odds.
2063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gas fees are low....A great time to get in? on: June 27, 2022, 03:59:25 AM
It seems that the persistent bear market drastically reduced ETH's network congestion. Gas fees have been ranging as low as 17 Gwei to 30 Gwei on average. The native cryptocurrency Ether (ETH) has been declining like crazy in Fiat terms, so it would be a lot cheaper to buy NFTs or do other network operations than before.

Assuming ETH doesn't go any lower in price, would now be a great time to get in? Or should I wait a little longer? Do you think gas fees will soar back up again after the crypto winter settles? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

You mean to invest? of course, good time to get in as the price is very cheap. But I think it will still go down lower next year, so the best thing to do is DCA and then see how it goes.

However, it's correlated, when the price goes low during bear market = low fees. Just like in bitcoin right now, you can literally transfer in even less than a dollar right as transaction fees and easily received it very quickly. But I guess the important thing is how to take advantage of this cheap price and fees and invest.

We have a great fight at 115 lbs division. Bam Rodriguez against Srisaket Sor Rungvisai. There is no love for this weight division, but there are a lot of good and elite boxers here, namely Juan Francisco Estrada and Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez. I guess the savvy veteran in Srisaket Sor Rungvisai is not enough for a young lion like Rodriguez. Maybe in the future we will see unification as well, but we have separate champions in Martinez (IBF), Kazuto Iota (WBO) and Estrada (WBA and Ring). Rodriguez holds the WBC.

Here is the highlights of the fight.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPidwY7gRQo

If I'm not mistaken Srisaket Sor Rungvisai is already a legend in this division and maybe have beaten either Estrada or Gonzalez in their prime (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

And this Rodriguez and very young and a lot of potential for this kid. His movement and foot is amazing and those angle? Seen them when Manny Pacquiao is at his prime. He knows his foot placement so that he can hit his opponent with that kind of angle that his opponent can't see. I would say that Rodriguez has a lot of future an can conquer 108-115 lbs or even higher division.
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 27, 2022, 03:02:32 AM
....
KD + Lillard is not a good combination.
+ a bunch of nobodies because they will be sending a lot of their role starters if it's not a KD for Dame trade. It's amazing that it's like people thinking two NBA superstars will win championships. KD will have to be a free agent again before he could join a team without disrupting their roster like what happened in GSW.

And to our surprise, it might even include Damian Lillard in the trade package. Cheesy

Whoever starts this Lillard-Durant duo idea should think properly. That won't happen and it's not good chemistry.

Durant will stay on Brooklyn Nets until the end of his career. He will be 38 years old if Durant will finished his contract at the Nets. Durant likes to lead a team without the help of any superstars. No need for Lillard to assist him on that goal. Lillard also has its own goal.

But Lillard has spent so much time in Blazers that he didn't went close to his goal. I think his best years are like 2-3 years ago, but competition in the West in very tough. And now that he is injured and his Robin is gone now, they have to rebuild from scratch.

However, a KD tandem might not work as well, because they will have to work with a lot players that needs improvement. Unless Blazers have good development plans or it's management ha keen eyes for getting a relatively unknown and evolved them to a good player like what the Warriors did in Jordan Poole.
2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A police officer (ASP) in Bangladesh was detected as crypto investor on: June 26, 2022, 02:44:02 PM
I will echo the sentiments, although there is strict law, you can't blame everyone including those that supposed to implement the law because crypto is for everyone. I must just imagine how much money he put and the profits that he should have made if not for the Luna crash. However, I'm not sure how the government will react to this, again, it's because they are against crypto, maybe he will get punished or something?
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 26, 2022, 01:42:23 PM
So what will happen if his win is not impressive again? Will Golden Boy promotion will look for another easy fight until Garcia will have an impressive win? I don't think that will happen, I believe this is going to be his last fight before he gets into a bigger fight, and he should fight a boxer that is willing to fight him toe to toe so we will be able to see an entertaining fight.

I think if this end up unimpressive again, they will do another cherry picking until Ryan Garcia will look good in the ring. He got exposed on the Campbell fight, no matter what their camp say, that knockdown exposes his chin and take his confidence away. I think Golden Boy will do the risky thing for Ryan once they will be offered a championship fight against Davis or Haney, all or nothing for him i would say.
That would take too long before we will see a big fight of Ryan Garcia, yes, his chin was exposed but the most important is he got up and beat Campbell by KO, it's more than enough to prove that he really is a strong fighter, so I hope this would be the last fight and they will focus on the real fight for him.

He managed to get up that time but the fact that his chin was exposed will remain as an open book to other boxers in the same division, and Garcia's chin will be one of the few targets because it was already proven that it was his weakness especially if his opponents are the likes of Kambosos Jr. and Gervonta Davis. If Garcia will still fail in his fight against Fortuna then I'm afraid that he's just one of those hyped boxers that haven't overcome their struggles.

Well Garcia was really exposed on that fight, but I would say that Campbell has power and good fundamentals thats why he was able to get that left hook during their exchanges and knock down Garcia unexpectedly. I wouldn't say though that it was a weakness, maybe he was really caught off guard. And every boxer caught like that with that one big shot will likely go down. But if he will have to face a boxer with power like Kambosos Jr and Tank Davis, he better not to get hit like that otherwise he will sure be getting into the canvass again.

I guess everyone will get exposed sooner or later, it's just how boxers responded to it. Maybe Garcia's youth has that advantage and that's why he recovered very fast. The punch was really very quick as you describe no time to react but for sure he knows it's coming and that's why the impact is that that big in his chin. But Garcia is saying that his main weapon here is his speed so let's see if he will have this advantage and it seems it fuel Garcia more because Fortuna is talking trash on him.
2068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 26, 2022, 12:57:52 PM
^^ Not sure though, but yes, this is going to be maybe his last hurray in the Wimbledon so it's going to be fun tow watch Serena. Maybe she still has it getting past several rounds, but it's going to be very tough for her if she is match against a round and high rank opponents. And let's see if she really heals specially in the mental aspects of the game.

Maybe that's what she really needs, more rest as she is aging and importantly, the psychology of the game. If her mind tells her that she can't compete at this high level of tennis, then for sure we will see Serena exiting early in Wimbledon. But is she has just that one push, like Nadal or even Andy Murray, then maybe there is a possibility but it will be very hard and difficult road for her.
2069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 26, 2022, 12:23:26 PM
I really think Kyrie Irving is regretful about what he has done in the past and pretty much can not change what happened he surely regrets when he leaves Lebron James on the Cleaveland Cavaliers, and he reflects on what he did in the past, I have seen an interview on how Kyrie Irving humbles himself on what he has done in the past, but I surely can't see the video anymore, and right now he is a changed person if given a chance he would surely do the right thing this time,

But it seems he did the same thing with Durant again? I mean he insistent not to get the vaccine and as a result he misses a lot of games and then disappear in the playoffs agains the Celtics, although we can attribute it to the good defense, but still they are swept in the first round. So not sure about the argument about him being a change person, as we have said, he is selfish. Even him attacking Nike publicly about his shoes and the design or lack of it.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2022, 12:03:04 PM
Maybe Beterbiev travelling to England to defend his 3 belts against their own hero Anthony Yarde is financially big. But I like Artur Beterbiev to pressure and convince Arum/ESPN to let him unify with the last remaining belt held by Dmitry Bivol. Beterbiev better not waste his time against these beltless contenders if he wants to leave a legacy in the Hall of Fame. Or maybe he can fight the beatable WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu. A victory would make Beterbiev a 2 division champion and might be enough to enter the Hall of Fame.

Or is Arum (ESPN) scared that his aging champion might lose to a technical fighter like Bivol?

I read that Beterviev will be defending his belt against Yarde. And this could be the 'safest' route for Arthur, or shall we shall Bob Arum. Although he mentioned that he is also interested on a Bivol match to unify, knowing Arum, he might not allow him to do that. And instead, have him face the mandatory challenger first and create more aura of invincibility of Beterviev so that hey can make a lot of money if ever they will decide and have a unification fight with Bivol.

That's good if that is the plan because we will still see that fight. Bob sometimes does not want to risk his fighter if he thinks the opponent is also good to beat his fighter, so there's a possibility that the anticipated fight will not happen. Some boxers did not renew did contract with Top Rank and were able to get big fights, fights that they love to happen when they are still under his promotion.

Yes, this is a well orchestrated plan by Arum again, sort of manipulating the LHW because he has all the cards and it seems that he wants to stick it out with DAZN. Arum is a pure old school so he will go to ESPN but then again as mentioned, Beterviev is not PPV yet. Boxers like Crawford recently separated from Top Rank because they want to handle their career and doesn't want how Top Rank handle them (not getting the fights they wanted and the money.)
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 24, 2022, 10:21:15 PM
Kyrie Irving as it appears is looking to find a new home while Kevin Durant is trying to do the same but has 4 years left in his contract. Irving could opt in for a trade, Opt out and sign as a free agent, a sign in trade. I don't think Irving is going to stay for another season. Durant would like a move as well but its much trickier for him.
They are not effective playing together, they cannot win a championship so they should look for a team that could give that to them. Right now, the Lakers are the best team to joined with, and it's only possible if Westbrook gets traded as it's unlike that Davis will be traded.
I wish it's not true. It's not that they are not effective to play together but there's just no chemistry yet. Both players was injured and then the pandemic came and Kyrie is being stubborn about getting the vaccine.
But look at Wiggins, he was pursued to take it by his team mates and look where he is now.
These two stars of Brooklyn just didn't have enough time to play together but now they can. If I will be in the Nets position I would not let them go and instead rebuild the roleplayers. Griffin is not helpful anymore. Let him go. I'd stick with Kyrie, KD, Ben, Joe Harris, Claxton, and Seth. This is their core and just put more like young guys for their bench.

But the damage has been done though, Irving being stubborn not to get the vaccine really affected their season this year. And no player is above the management so it leave a bad taste in the mouth on the Nets that they are willing to let go of Irving now and get a fresh player that can help Durant. Maybe they still banking on Ben to play very well with Durant. I would admit that their core is still solid with the players they got from the Sixers, Seth and Drummond, Griffin can just play coming from the bench.
2072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: June 24, 2022, 09:53:07 PM
Not sure what category I fall but I would say: Casual Social Gamblers.

I just occasionally gamble for fun with friends specially in land base casino as they are open right now. Have some free beers, enjoy the night with just a conservative money as capital playing slots with minimum bet or table games and then that's it. At the end of the night, we all go home and just have some entertainment that's it. And maybe play the next month again.
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 24, 2022, 11:39:53 AM
It is remarkable how Medvedev, the new number 1 in the world, presents itself. 2 weeks ago he lost in the final against the number 200 in the world, and now he also lost another match. He should really just beat everyone if Djokovic and Nadal don't participate, right? For me this is the sign that Medvedev is probably not going to win Wimbledon. He can play fantastically and is very solid, but when it comes to important games, he has let go a lot. Maybe there will be more pressure on him because he is now the new number 1 in the world.

It's just unfortunate though, maybe there is a big pressure on his shoulder to really play good and so he pushed himself.

Or maybe it's just bad timing, him not consistent in his last 2 tournaments and that is why he was upset. Hopefully he can live up to being the top seed right now otherwise, Djokovic can still reclaim that this year. This is just the difference between the big 3 before, they are really psychologically though in close games and seldom we see them being upset perhaps just to other ranked but not to relatively unknown player.
2074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 23, 2022, 10:04:37 PM
Really hard to answer, but I heard horror stories too just like what the OP has describe. Well if he knows that his friend is into gambling, maybe he wouldn't trust him. So I guess for us we really need to be very careful about who put our businesses and money and rely them to manage it for us. Not just for gamblers, but for everyone because you really don't know, maybe if they see that the business is growing, they might be tempted to steal.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 23, 2022, 09:42:30 PM
^ It's either someone will whisper to them that they are the underdog or his team are into social media (most likely) and they will find it out sooner or later. But it shouldn't matter though, Magsayo should focus on the fight itself and not what analyst or bettors are feeling. Just accept if he will be the underdog, he has the belt to proved that he is a champion anyways. The fight is like a couple of weeks from now and hopefully Magsayo should just peak in time and not overtrain in this fight. That's the only thing that might be a factor for him, maybe he will overtrain because he want to give us fans a good fight.

Yeah, but does it really matter if he is listed as underdog or if his team knows about it? He might probably just smile if the odds is out by now or the day prior to the fight. What is important is that he come to fight and beat Vargas by whatever means. Of course we would like for him to score a knock out, but a decision win is acceptable as well.

Nah! That won't really matter and as if they care enough if they are listed as favorite or underdog. Their performance won't be based on that listing just like being listed as a favorite won't guarantee one's victory. Both boxers will fight for their own legacy as they are both undefeated but Magsayo should definitely try to win this fight as he's the one who can't afford to lose rather than the challenger.

Yes, there are a lot of upsets in boxing, and Mark if ever be the underdog, will be a good one as what we have discussed previously. And I also didn't see any pressure coming for him, he just need to go and fight hard and hopefully their training and work will payoff if he will score that knock out. Vargas is undefeated  and has the experience, but it doesn't mean that Mark can't take him out.

Some major moves, Portland acquire Grant from the Pistons.

Quote
The Portland Trail Blazers are acquiring Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant for a protected 2025 first-round pick and additional draft assets, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/34132481/detroit-pistons-trading-forward-jerami-grant-portland-trail-blazers-2025-1st-round-pick-sources-say

I think it's a win win for both teams, Blazers are on a rebuilding phase and need someone like Grant to help Dame next season.

While Grant was not given enough time when he was in Detroit because they have been laden with players like him at the same spot.
I still can't forget his contributions when he was still in the Denver Nuggets last bubble. He is like the 3rd option of the team at that time when it comes to defense.
It's a bit unfortunate that we didn't see him play that much when he was still in Detroit.

Now seeing the current roster of Portland, it looks like he will be given more time there. Lillard now has a partner at least offensively though Grant isn't the same as McCollum who is very good offensively. Let's see but the Blazers won this trade I think.

Yeah, Grant is a good catch for Portland, maybe this is the last run that they have with Dame to make into the finals in the West but not sure if their current roster is enough.

They need another one or some role players that can fill the gap when the starters are resting. But there could be more players in the field that they can get before the start of the next season.
2077  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your bitcoin ATL prediction before next halving on: June 23, 2022, 09:36:15 AM
Bitcoin prices are currently dropping and the halving seems to have gone unnoticed, maybe there are few bitcoin mining so what is happening with bitcoin right now is due to external factors such as inflation, reduced stock for miners of course will have a big impact on transaction fees which will be high and this is what makes it difficult for us to develop bitcoin.

Bitcoin halving? still very far mate.

For me I voted $10k, we never thought that we will not reach the previous all time high and yet we went that low and even lower at $17,500 (current ATL). And what's scary is that we are still in the middle of the year, so there's a lot of possibility that the price will still go down and we haven't reach the bottom yet. So $10k for me, worst scenario, that could be -80%++ and that could be a record too if we reach that price level.
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2022, 10:46:06 PM
Rumors of Bradley Beal declining his $36.4 million Wizard's contract option. Money wise he should take the money but if he wants a real shot at the championships then he can reject it and look for better teams. But maybe another decent team will offer him a good amount of money for a longer.
I guess these keys players like him are starting to realize that it's not just all about the contract but also getting in a team that has a caliber to take the ring.

Hell yeah, this is a big money and it's already a good amount for the contract that he wants to sign. But I guess that offer will remain there until he finally accepts it or find a better deal from the other teams with good teammates.

Right and Beal going to play with others to build a 'super team' (although not a sure recipe to become a champion). He need help in Washington though, I think him and Westbrook that time looks solid as they went to the playoffs, but we already know what happened next. And so you can't blame him if he doesn't want to play again with Washington because of the players surrounding him.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: June 22, 2022, 10:05:14 PM
^^ I don't think that Usyk will underestimate him in their rematch. But the war in his motherland would have some effect on him psychologically. But it could be a good or bad thing, good if he is going to be extra motivated although his opponent is not Russian, or bad if the background of the war will be too much for him. I think to defeat a technical fighter, you need to have a good timing.
2080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 22, 2022, 09:33:18 PM
Wimbledon will start next week. I've looked at some stats from the tournaments over the past few weeks, but can't really come to a conclusion as to who the top favorite is. Medvedev wins many matches, but in Rosmalen he was knocked off the track by the then number 200 in the world. He even trailed 5-0 in the 2nd set and it was almost 6-0. Now I think he is already in the semi-finals. Nobody knows what Djokovic is doing it seems, haha.

It will still be Djokovic as the top favorite for this Wimbledon, followed by Alcaraz and Nadal. But we should expect some upsets a long the way. Maybe Medvedev can be good as the quarterfinals.

Hurkacz game style has been put into notice, so if you are looking for a good underdog, he should be a good one. Tsitsipas is more on a clay court player, so not expecting him to roll in this tournament.
