2841  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Buying Antminer S9 from this store, any have experiance with them? on: July 04, 2017, 04:12:56 PM
Eastshore is ok, I have history with them buying two S9's from them successfully. Smooth deal.

Nice, glad I could help.  Smiley
2843  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFGminer Solo Raspberry Pi 3 Setup? on: July 02, 2017, 09:25:40 PM
Well if it is just for fun and hobby, then you could buy some Gekkoscience sticks or Gekkoscience pods (coming soon).
See this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1718358.0
2844  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFGminer Solo Raspberry Pi 3 Setup? on: July 02, 2017, 07:25:30 PM
Your hashrate is way too small, even for solo mining.
We are talking terahash scale of mining today.

Please see existing threads, especially sticked ones https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1944976.0
2845  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: AntMiner S10? on: July 01, 2017, 10:32:31 PM
It is nearly impossible to know if you are not Bitmain staff or other insider.
So no, we don't know more than you do.

2846  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: A diff contest picks are closed. 1.5 ltc prize with a sidehack compac on: July 01, 2017, 06:08:42 PM
If I win, I would like to support sidehack with the winning.  Smiley

Are you sure you have the right openwrt firmware version?

The latest firmware is available for Raspberry Pi 3 as well.

These instructions might be useful help, though they are for A721

Good. Nobody likes Antpool anyway.
2849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Starting to mine Litecoins with Antminer L3+ from September 2017. Questions! on: June 30, 2017, 08:54:54 PM
LW.com
BW.com announced their BW L21 Litecoin miner, check out their site and Twitter and this speculation thread for more https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1918895
2850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BW.com L21 - Litecoin (scrypt) ASIC miner - unofficial speculation thread on: June 29, 2017, 07:35:09 PM
I got an answer from BW.
Let's see if I will have a review about BW L21 for you in August.  Smiley
2851  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: June 29, 2017, 01:48:57 PM
I went ahead and bought a buddy to my 721: one A741 to replace S7-LN that I sold recently (going to re-locate my PSUs)  Smiley
I'll probably end up hooking it up with the HP DPS-1200FBA (Gekkoscience/Bitshopper.de kit) power supply.
2852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: June 28, 2017, 09:02:00 PM
Did you even read my post above about this PSU case?

Also I wouldn't call them cheaply made, APW3 psu's have been quite reliable and got some good parts inside if you have a look inside.
2853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: June 28, 2017, 05:58:17 PM
Actually it is little different story with server PSUs than it is with ATX PSUs.
Server PSUs can actually stand the max. rated power 24h and some models are capable even little more than the rated power.

There was APW3 model with 18x PCI-E for sale some time ago. Two L3+ miners.

2855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which companies are selling mining machines other than Panda, Baikal and Bitmai? on: June 25, 2017, 07:10:48 PM
Ebang sells their Ebit E9 and Ebit E9 Plus miners.
http://miner.ebang.com.cn/en/products.html

Canaan Creative has AvalonMiner 741 for sale.
https://canaan.io/product/avalonminer-741/

Note: these are Bitcoin miners
2856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need advice on what hardware to buy! on: June 25, 2017, 07:07:55 PM
Bitcoin mining today is done with ASIC hardware, there is no profit for PC based mining.

Old usb mining ASIC stick with 300MHs hash rate is useless.

Proper hardware today is in a terahash scale.

If you just want to try mining as a hobby with a USB ASIC stick, then I would suggest you Gekkoscience 2Pac stick, see here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1718358.0

why is there no profit for PC based mining ?

i'm new to this and looking for more information , i find a few but most of them said it is profitable ?

i actually want to invest in to a new GPU maybe decide later, Should I. (if i do what would you suggest)

Thanks
Ok, I thought I was clear, but here goes again:
In Bitcoin mining, there is no profit for PC based mining.
It is done with ASIC hardware.

Alternative cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Zcash .... are a different story.
Those coins can be mined nicely with high-end graphics cards PC setup.
2857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or ETHEREUM mining? GPU or ASIC ? on: June 25, 2017, 07:05:20 PM
If you are going to invest 10k USD then you should do some proper research yourself, there is plenty of information in existing threads.
I'm just saying this for your money's sake.
2858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: June 25, 2017, 05:10:17 PM
Not me. July 2018 estimated delivery is a big bummer  Undecided
2859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3+ : Anyone using a PSU different to the one recommended by Bitmain? on: June 25, 2017, 02:17:52 PM
See this "DPS1200 Kit" in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=940317.0

For a server psu HP DPS-1200 FBA has a reasonable noise level.
2860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need advice for asic miner for eth mining on: June 25, 2017, 02:16:15 PM
