961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 10, 2022, 06:46:07 PM
This time it's against Paul Butler, it's no use thinking that he will win because that won't happen even if Inoue is feeling bad or ill in the day of their fight. I know Inoue is not that kind of boxer who underestimates his foe but it's too clear that Butler won't stand a chance especially if we are talking about withstanding punches, he can't survive that.

The level of confidence from the fans of Inoue is very high, well, we cannot blame the fans because Butler won't be a champion if Casimero was not stripped with his belt, so now, he is getting all the kind of underestimation, and hopefully he will see that as a challenge and will try to prove that we are wrong.

I share the same sentiment because I believe it would be Casimero fighting for the undisputed title if he didn't fail to meet the required weight and all those scandal that he was in that is why he was stripped by his belt. In terms of power, my money is for Casimero if he were to fight Butler, no doubt. That is why I strongly believe that Butler cannot prove us wrong because his skills are just too unfortunate if we will compare with Inoue as he can't really keep up with Inoue's power.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 10, 2022, 06:25:16 PM
He is just trying to take advantage of the opportunity while he's still famous and known because sooner or later, he will be forgotten and become an old news even if he got an undefeated record during his professional days. And now that he said that he's already done fighting a true fighter, I expect that he won't be fighting McGregor as well because if he accept that fight and rejected the idea to have an exhibition fight with Pacquiao, I will be convinced that he's just trying to duck the Filipino legend, AGAIN!

Yes, and look what he has gotten him in taking advantage of a Youtuber/boxer or an MMA/boxer to fight him in a boxing rule fight, he will surely win the fight, and the purposed of it was just money and entertaining himself, Well he will not surely take a boxer to fight him anymore so that Manny Pacquiao fight is really out of the picture,

And I don't even know why his fights are still a must watch to anybody out there, it's not that entertaining and exciting anymore because he is just fighting amateur fighters that is way out of his league and even before he said that he won't accept any fights against any boxer that is near his caliber, we already know that he won't agree to any fights where his chances to win are not guaranteed.

And we have this rumor that he'll fight with McGregor again, what does that mean? It's seems to me that he's just afraid to face the legendary boxer once again even if it's just an exhibition fight.

To my perspectives, he is afraid facing Pacquiao as he knows that even it's just an exhibition Manny will take it seriously and the winning chance for him is slim, and aside from that, fighting Pacquiao he needs to train hard in order to make sure that his body is well prepared, The Pinoy legends always put pride once he steps inside the ring.

Mayweather, on the other hand, he's more on the money and he wanted to have an easier and surer fight to accept.

Plus the money that what will move Mayweather, nothing but all is for the money.

I share the same opinion, he suddenly said that he won't be fighting anymore in such fighter in the same caliber when the fans are hyping for a second dance between the two of them. Before that hype, there was even a rumor that Mayweather and McGregor is working for a second bout, but when it comes to Pacquiao his tone suddenly changed. Well, that action he made was more than enough reason to believe that he is still afraid of Pacquiao until this day.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 10, 2022, 06:01:04 PM
This will be a great fight tbh because both of them have different techniques to handle their opponents based on their previous fights . And that's why I'm not surprised why they own a great records in boxing history, wherein surely this will be a tough fight for both sides especially for the undefeated that needs to keep his belt and to maintain the good record.

Bivol and Ramirez are both undefeated but the pressure is on Bivol because fans are still going crazy from that upset he gave to Canelo Alvarez recently and because he is the defending champion while Ramirez is just a challenger for the title. The expectation is high for Bivol here but judging Ramirez's record, he is not an easy opponent and had a much higher KO ratio than Bivol. Nonetheless, I expect a good entertaining fight given that both fighters are undefeated.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: October 07, 2022, 11:58:00 AM

Finally, odds are up and i'm good with the ML but i'll be pushing the bet button 12 hours before the fight, there might be significant changes by that time.

Looks very attractive, I'm sure I'm going to put a decent amount on Ancajas to win. The odds now are the opposite of the first match, so maybe Ancajas will try to be better and win this fight, good luck to us mate.

Yes, that's for sure! Ancajas is fortunately listed as an underdog by the bookies, although I wasn't really surprised of that fact, but this is indeed a good opportunity and advantage for us who believes in him that he can reclaim his belt this time. Tomorrow is the fight, right? Anyway, thanks for sharing mate.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 07, 2022, 08:43:57 AM
this is obvious that it can happen, nothing is written, if Inoue feels bad that day? or he has some ailment or injury and that can affect him, I don't think Butler comes out with the intention of giving him a knockout, but rather Butler must have a good strategy to withstand all the attacks that Inoue is coming at him, this fight is going to be very good.

There's no fight yet where Inoue feels bad on that day. And there's only 1 time where Inoue struggled in his fight and that was against Nonito Donaire in their first match. He was badly beaten by Donaire in the early rounds but look at how he give the patience to regain his momentum and then finally got the unanimous win against Donaire. That's why in their rematch, he didn't let that experience happen again, and finished easily that fight.

The old Donaire can even beat Paul Butler that's why no need for any logic here that Butler can stand a chance against Naoya Inoue.

I also disagree with you that Butler does have a strategy to withstand all attacks from Inoue. That was hard to imagine believe me. He can dodge, he can avoid those punches from Inoue but to withstand it? I really have a big doubt.

Yes, it was Donaire who gave Inoue a hard time and it was a good fight as we can see both boxers withstanding each other's punches but it's evident that Donaire is hurt by those punches while Inoue just shook it off like nothing happened. In the rematch, Inoue didn't let that happen because he doesn't want to put himself in a jeopardy where Donaire gets the advantage that's why we saw him finish the fight in just mere 2 rounds.

966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: October 07, 2022, 06:50:10 AM
Maybe far fetched, but you could get a warning or in some cases even a dismissal. These are things that certainly happen in the business world, and not just among teachers. The track record of a teacher is of course also taken into account.

An employee that is not doing his duty will have warnings and eventually a dismissal if he doesn't change.  But I never seen any person who is involved in gambling but working perfectly fine being kicked out of a company.

Because there are also some instances that the employee is just trying to entertain himself or herself in the form of gambling and the company doesn't have to worry about that because people needed to blow off some steam at some point, the important thing is that the said employee will still do his duty/work and still able to finish projects on or before the deadline.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 07, 2022, 06:20:28 AM
It's true, but for me this is a good chance to see how the player chemistry is, and of course if they are going to win their new team mates. I remember last year with the Lakers line up, highly anticipated and we say that it is not that important, as the impression on them is just like half baked. But look at how the team turns out to be in the regular season, but we can argue that it was due to injuries to their franchise like AD and Lebron that really contributed to their downfall.
They may face the same situation this season. I mean, we don't know when injuries will hit them, especially for Lebron who is getting older. The Lakers should try not to expect too much from him and do what they can to also lead the team.
Austin Reaves for example, he may not be putting much in the score sheet but we can see his presence on the court.
Offensive rebounds, steals, and defense, he is everywhere and will be a pest to every offensive player that he will face.
Davis though will be a big help if healthy for the whole year.
Lebron would not be easily injured if he will not be too offensive, I mean like driving the ball to the basket. His role should be the point guard, with that, he can just find his open teammates that will create the shots for the team. Lebron is not yet injury prone, he might be older already but Davis was way more injury prone than him, so there's nothing to worry, I'm more worried about Davis.

It's not that likely that LeBron will be injured seriously this season, he is too clever to be in that situation. Looking at him, he doesn't do any poster dunks anymore or anything he used to do in his prime because he sure knows that his body is not that agile and robust anymore that's why these days, he often plays safe because being injured will put the team in jeopardy as he's also laying the table for the team.

With a proper diet and enough time of preparation, moving to another weight division is not hard for this monster.
That's true. They have months to prepare for the fight, it's sufficient to adjust their body and train. It would be a bit different for what Inoue used to but I think it's not hard for him to adjust just incase.

It's too early to talk on that, I think moving up is easier than going down in weight, and besides, Inoue has the power and speed, that's enough to still make him a fighter to be scared of once he moves up. After this fight, if he wins, I think that's gonna be his next move, so let's just wait and see.

It's part of his possible plans, but maybe he also sees more money from this division and he's good at maintaining his weight
so we never know what's the real score is in terms of moving up.

Just how you see it, too early for discussing that and there's always a balancing thing to make a decision, he might be thinking
about it, but for now, he's focusing on winning all the belts.

We will see any update for sure if there's a move coming from Inoue's camp, but for now it will be more on this upcoming fight.

It's not really that early, besides, we won't be having this kind of speculation if Inoue himself didn't say or consider that he'll move to the next weight class if he is already finish in unifying all the belts in his current division. Talking about his chances, there is a high chance that he will move after this because majority of us here already are already convinced and thought that Inoue will be crowned as the undisputed champion rather than Butler.

Inoue was interviewed recently by the JapanTimes and this is what he said:
Quote
“From here on, I want to give performances worthy of the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter.
“In order to do that, I need to unify the bantamweight world titles and then take on the super-bantamweight division.”
https://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2022/06/28/more-sports/boxing-2/inoue-pound-for-pound-bantamweight/

This is what I have been speculating! Now it will become true! Inoue clearly has the talent and he should not be another ordinary champion. He deserves a similar status to Mayweather and Pacman, I reckon.

If he challenges Stephen Fulton, Fulton should challenge Murodjon Akhmadaliev and unify the super bantamweight championships first hehehee. It will be the first time in boxing history where 2 undisputed champions will be fighting in the ring. However, if Fulton does not unify the championships in super bantamweight, Inoue might do it hehe.

I wouldn't argue with that, Inoue deserves the best because of the dedication and hard work he put on his career that why reached this far and soon, he will be crowned as the undisputed boxer in 118 pounds category. His next plan is to unify the belts in super-bantamweight and it's just a 4-pound difference, so I think he wouldn't have a hard time transitioning. Maybe this will be the first in history where a boxer attained two undisputed titles.

Quote
It will be the first time in boxing history where 2 undisputed champions will be fighting in the ring.
That is if Stephen Fulton can unify all the belts before Inoue climbs in their division, currently he only holds the WBO and the WBC. Also, if in case Fulton did manage to unify the belts first, I don't think Inoue will go directly to him instead of earning his name by going through the ranks.
970  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's alright to lose and learn on: October 05, 2022, 07:31:54 PM
Lossing is part of the process to learn but it doesn't mean that we could lose huge amount of money to learn something. There are statement of other which lose tons of money which we can learn from and maybe their experience could be a good basis for us so that we can also learn.

The only matter here is how we absorb the information we receive and those learning experience we encounter since if we keep pushing on things unnecessary maybe we will lose more and that's not totally ideal to us.
Losing will always be inevitable, so whether we are pro in trading or not, the most important thing is how we will overcome it and learned from it. Some may decide to quit after losing, while others continue to take the risk because the more you experience losses, the more you will be motivated and become more determined to reach your goal. However, if we can avoid losses as much as possible, it will be better, but the good thing about losses is that they always bring new lessons to learn and make us more strong and independent.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 03, 2022, 06:02:58 PM

Floyd Mayweather is now just doing exhibitions to earn money to sustain his lifestyle as in exhibition fights he will not be training so hard in the gym to get fit unlike if he will be fighting Manny where he needs to be in great shape because that would be a competitive fight and he will lost his zero if will not train hard  Smiley.

Bottomline, i think Floyd is already done/retired in boxing and will not risk his life fighting Manny so i think the latter should also do the same, fight in an exhibition fight if he misses the lime light because i don't think that he will do exhibitions for money as he has tons of it right now.

He is surely finished in a regular fight boxing I think Floyd Mayweather has already reached his limits and he already knows this to himself that is why he is declining an offer for a rematch with another retired boxer Manny Pacquaio, I think he really likes to just enjoy himself to all of his Exhibition matches and likely picking fights that he thinks he can win, the thing here is he is already retired and just wants to enjoy this opportunity being retired and happy,

He is just trying to take advantage of the opportunity while he's still famous and known because sooner or later, he will be forgotten and become an old news even if he got an undefeated record during his professional days. On the contrary, I think the Jordan Clarkson will get traded the soonest and I was hoping that he will go the Lakers again and play with Bron.

I don't care which team but I would love to see Jordan Clarkson traded to any teams that are capable of reaching the playoffs. I don't want him to stay in a rebuilding team and waste his prime years.

Clarkson with the Lakers will be good for the team and his career too. He can be a perfect alternative when Bron and AD take their rest. He can even play in the first five to confuse the opposing team's defense. Schroder, Clarkson, Bron, and AD together in the court would be offensively deadly.

True, Clarkson's talent will be wasted if he will still remain and play for the Utah Jazz or to guide the younger ones, He's just not suitable for it. There's a rumor that Bucks and Grizzlies are interested to get him but up until now there's no news on the nearest possibility, he will be so useful if he can play for Bucks or Grizzlies. But for Lakers? They are already stacked especially in point guards and I don't see that the Lakers has something to give for the Jazz in-exchange for Clarkson. I'm sure that the Lakers aren't ready to give up their future picks for the time being.

My personal take with Davis and Garcia's childish scene. They are trying to engage their fans and let them ask for the fight to happen. I mean, they can provoke promoters to bring the contract on both sides. My opinion though. Moving back to this upcoming fight, trash talks might be used to attract possible viewers aside from those fans who surely will buy the ticket.

That might be the case why Garcia and Davis have been so foolish and exchanging some words in social media, they are trying to make some hype but people know that the current Ryan Garcia cannot defeat the current Gervonta Davis. It might be best for Garcia to facilitate Shakur first in the latter's debut in lightweight because his recent opponents aren't that strong enough to consider that he is indeed ready to fight Gervonta Davis.

You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.

Considering the said facts above, I can still consider myself a professional teacher or lawyer because I only seek gambling for entertainment. There's no harm in my reputation for that because it's just a past time, it's not like that I'm so addicted towards gambling. The students are the ones who will be questioned why they are in the casino or gambling houses, they can't know that I'm gambling if they weren't there. Right? Grin
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose an online casino? on: September 30, 2022, 03:21:05 PM
I don't think relying on a third party to get recommendation on which casino to chose is ideal you can get a response from an agent in a casino with no reputation at all. I will rather say you do your research get your own findings then you can make a thread to get more insight about the reputation of your found Casino
At least the third parties will be sorted the recommended sites rather than tried to use whole of sites by yourself. You need lots of money for that. That's why getting recommendation from the 3rd parties are also important things these days. It's caused by there are so many sites available these days. That means if you need to pick some that makes you interested with it. That's how suggestion is working .
Of course, as gamblers we don't usually follow recommendations. And the best thing is to test it out yourself and see how it goes. But there are a lot of experience gamblers around in the community who we value their judgement so I would say that it has weight on it.

And so far we have known a lot of casinos already, some have been in this industry for so long. And then there are new casinos in the last 2-3 years who is also making a name for themselves in this community and outside.

That could be an expensive to do in our part and just like what @WalkerIVIV said, it's much better to try the recommended sites first in this forum because it's already sorted to guide the beginners or even the regular gamblers who seek another platform to play with. We can't be trying the unknown sites because we are not someone who give remarks on the new casino for a living, we are gamblers.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 29, 2022, 10:54:29 PM
I think we will see Pacquaio doing the same exhibition match with small twist like the profits for charity and other thing to help his people. But I guess he will have to make some money as well. So just imagine fighting in less than the usual 12 rounds and brutal fighting in professional fight, you can earn the same or even higher in an exhibition match. So it's logical and make sense for Mannny and obviously, he will do that because he has a schedule with some Youtuber from South Korea and his former sparring partner in the Middle East also slated. And maybe go to Japan and fight too for bigger purse and money.
Yeah, he's got already two matches line up and those are the very reasons why he has accepted those fights. Main reason for him is about the charity purposes and there's already a beneficiary for that.

But it's not already a secret that him and the others who are doing such fights have their share too. Take it the example of Floyd Mayweather, he's already retired in the pro boxing but not in the entire boxing as he's open into exhibition matches.

I guess these two living legends are going to live their lives fighting for the proposed exhibition matches on them.

Of course, both Mayweather and Pacquiao can pledge to donate all they want but they cannot deny that they are also taking a small fraction of what they earned for their personal use. Other than that, these two legends can still do and enjoy their passion safely nowadays without getting too much bruises while still garnering huge revenues from the fight they organized. A boxer will always be a boxer as they said, that is why even if they already retired professionally they are still fighting in a form of exhibition and can enjoy the leverage of being a legend.

Let's see if this new coach can guide the team more than Ime so that their efforts won't be in vain.

The new coach needs to work more since they are the runner-up and the expectation for this team is high.

He needs to make sure that the team is still intact and the chemistries that they've established while coach Udoka still
around should be remain or better to be enhanced now that it's the assistant coach term to mentor the entire team
they need to work together and continue the chase on the winning the NBA crown.

Boston Celtics has a new coach? I read it on the news that the assistant coach would be the temporary head coach? Is there a change of heart in Boston's management now? If the assistant coach becomes the temporary head coach and he remains a very good friend of Ime, things aren't as hard as we think it is. Ime and him can talk all the time on the things to do, the players to focus and so on. But maybe all of Boston from the owners to the staff, janitors and the fans hated Ime already.

He will be the interim coach maybe because it's too late to hire a new one since the upcoming season is almost here. Regardless if they are friend or not, he had to do a better job as their new coach. He also had some bad reputation himself but I guess the Celtics have given him the benefit so they get him as a assistant and now the interim and probably a permanent one if he do a great job this year. And I doubt that Ime can go back to his previous job with the Celtics or if any NBA team will get hire him.

This is the time where the new head coach will be tested, I'm pretty sure that if he will not do the job well, the management will find a coach to replace him. Celtics have a great roster, they will not waste the opportunity to be a championship contender again, so I'm sure this team is still a team to beat.

Imagine the expectation and burden that has been passed to your shoulder, Mazzulla will be tested and might get criticized if he can't do his job properly. The teams an experienced coach like Ime Udoka but their situation now can't be helped because they need to use what they have and only Mazzulla fits the job for now. But I believe that they can find a way, the current roster is clever enough to do things on their own because of the experienced they acquired but they still need a coach's mind to guide them when it comes to critical situations.

Going back to this Ime Udoka drama… I’m not sure how serious people are, but I’m hearing rumors that his affair went further than just with the female staff member that’s been in social media… There are now rumors that he was also having inappropriate relationships with players… Maybe people are being crazy for clicks, but I suspect that Matt Barnes was right when he said that this story is 1000x crazier than anyone realizes right now.

I am pondering on the suspension if it was right. But Boston Celtic's management won't suspend Udoka if his issues are not that serious. They are hoping the issue to die down after the suspension and maybe they can let him return in the middle of the season. But things are getting worse. I read a news yesterday about the possibility of completely removing Udoka as a head coach. This is a disaster to the team because basketball fans assumed them to be the team to beat in this new season.

First off, the franchise already issued a whole season suspension for their head coach, Ime Udoka, so that means he cannot get back in the middle of the season or especially the team needs him, if when the issue has cooled down. Also, his issues now are getting ugly because of the rumors now, so the franchise will continue in condemning his actions so that the image of the Boston Celtics won't be scathed.

I'm just feeling bad for the team after all the effort they had just to get to the Finals and people are expecting that they'll be much vicious this season, but I guess that's not the case this time because their lighthouse, Udoka, won't be there for them to guide the team. Anyway, if he can manage to fix his issues in a year time, he can still get another call to coach another team in the league if the Celtic's franchise will remove him.
