981  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🔥⚽🏆 Cloudbet's EPL Predictor Competition - Free Entry - Win BTC or BCH! 🏆⚽🔥 on: September 03, 2018, 03:10:59 PM

This week had some upsets, I wasn't expecting to see West Ham and Crystal Palace lose at home. So much for my faith in the London clubs! It was also good to see Newcastle and Leicester giving the likes on Man City and Liverpool a good run for their money, with games much closer than predicted.

Because of the difficult results we only had two weekly winners in round four - Bitcointurk and Klarks_C! Both picked up 7 points each with two correct results, so we'll be in touch soon via PM to deliver your 50 free spins!

Now the moment you have all been waiting for - the points have been tallied, and the final scores are in for the monthly competition grand prize are in...

Congratulations to Sutters Mill and miha8 on taking first and second places in our grand prize table!

They have nabbed a tasty 0.05 BTC and 0.025 BTC respectively, and I'll be in touch very soon via PM to discuss prize delivery.

There's also the question of our last place booby prize winners...  Wink

Congratulations (or commiserations?) to iwutitan and Pettuh4 who managed to only score 8 points each over the four weeks. You've won a stylish wooden spoon with your bitcointalk names engraved!  Grin

Thanks to everyone who has taken part over the past four weeks. We'll be looking to run more sportsbook predictors very soon, so watch this space!

I'm back in the office tomorrow so I'll be sending out the prize PMs then.

Have a great week and enjoy the rest of the EPL season!

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Afternoon all!

Sorry for the lack of updates this week, i've been away from work on holiday and then a nasty bug kept me 'quarantined' at home.

I'm just updating the spreadsheet with this week's entrants and points now, and will be announcing the winners of the monthly prize soon - stay tuned!

Thanks very much,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Morning all!

Sorry the recap has been a little late this week, the bank holiday matches pushed everything back a bit.

I'm just updating the leaderboards now, but I can already see we have some big points on the board this week!

Thanks,

@iwutitan I'm sorry for any inconvenience here, I have replied to you directly via PM and am monitoring your tickets with our support staff.

Wow that's a lot of overnight entries! (thats what she said)

Welcome to all the new and returning players, I've updated the spreadsheet and OP for this week.

Looking forward to this bank holiday weekend, there's some big EPL games to watch. Not to mention a trip to Brisbane Road to see the mighty O's take on Dover athletic.

@cryptothief I'll be rooting for the hammers for you, got to represent East London  Wink

Have a great day!

@CryptoBrainy I'm still waiting on an answer from support regarding your claim to have been limited. It's not something I have experienced in the past, so i'd rather not speculate until I receive a solid response. As far as I'm aware we encourage high rollers so it wouldn't make sense to add limits unless there was something dodgy going on that needed to be investigated.

I made them at least 5k euro by betting their shitty pinnacle lines

You mentioned that you are deliberately betting on bad lines in a previous post, so that could be a factor.

As I've said before, the vast majority of withdrawals are processed instantly via our automated service, but there can be cases where delays occur - usually when an account has raised some red flags and needs to be investigated via a manual approval process. The delays can usually be traced back to a specific reason, which is why I'm always pushing for explanations from our teams, and demanding fixes to ongoing player issues.

We do request KYC in some cases where we believe it is necessary to either verify the owner of the account in question, or to comply with AML laws. Again this is only usually requested when some red flags have been raised - for example, an account being played in two different countries on opposite sides of the world within 5 mins of each other.

As with any business, we reserve the rights to deny our service without explanation (it's a common catch-all in terms of T&Cs), but this is very rarely used and in almost every case we would contact the player to explain the reason for a ban. Funds would be claimed only if there was clear evidence of deliberate attempts to defraud our service, in all other cases players are cashed out before being asked to leave.

As you can see from my posts on bitcointalk, i'm all about transparency. I'm here to serve the Cloudbet community and push for the best possible service we can provide, across all platforms. As with any growing business there will always be problems that fall through the cracks, but I'm trying to ensure that these are kept to an absolute minimum, and any ongoing issues are flagged and fixed asap.

Thanks very much,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul VS KSI - Where to place bet? on: August 23, 2018, 11:36:24 AM
Whilst there have been a few cases recently where players experienced delays with withdrawals, I've been chasing each and every one to ensure that the players are paid out.

We will always pay out our winning players, it would make no sense to deny withdrawals when reputation is so important in our niche little industry, especially with a bankroll like ours that allows for some of the highest stakes bitcoin betting around.

If you do decide to give us a try, let me know if you experience any issues at all and i'll be happy to solve them personally for you.

I've just checked and we are offering odds on Saturday's fight, currently Logan Paul is slight favourite (1.71) but it's pretty close with KSI at (1.96)

Taking a look into these guys, my money would probably be on Logan Paul. He's got the height, weight, and reach advantage that is so important in boxing, if their reported weights are anything to go by then this will be like a super middleweight verses a small heavyweight.

It's worth noting that KSI has some experience, winning a fight earlier on in the year with a TKO against Joe Weller, but Logan was a wrestler and athlete at state level which may give him the edge when it comes this amateur matchup. Looking at highlights of KSI's previous fight there's also quite a few technical errors (won't keep his guard up) and letting through a couple of punches could make for an early KO.

Interested to hear your thoughts!  Grin

993  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Cloudbet Signature Campaign - Hero/Legendary Members - $50/week! on: August 23, 2018, 08:50:20 AM
Good morning all,

First up I want to apologise for all the delays. This is the first time we have run a signature campaign in the last 3-4 years, and although I tried to get everything possible prepared in advance, some unexpected problems cropped up that pushed things back a bit.

In the interests of transparency, here's the lowdown:

I had agreed with the payment teams in advance that we would be paying direct to your wallets, however there were some last minute concerns about a lack of a paper trail on our end, hence the decision to pay into member's Cloudbet accounts.

This in turn caused issues with campaign members from restricted regions, as they obviously couldn't access our service. Thankfully @Hhampuz stepped up and saved my bacon by agreeing to act as a middleman to pay the affected members.

Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the water, we hit an issue where some campaign members were unable to withdraw their payments due to rollover restrictions. This one is on me, as I had tagged all of our campaign member's accounts to state that unrestricted withdrawals should be allowed, but neglected to realise that this would only be picked up during manual processing of payments, not on the auto system.

I've now checked to make sure that all your accounts are set to allow for withdrawals without rollover requirements on the automatic system, so we *shouldn't* run into any more problems. I also have a list of members from restricted territories who will be paid via Hhampuz.

Thanks very much for your hard work over the last two weeks, and for your patience with the delays over payments.

@LTU_btc I'm still chasing that one as we had another report of a similar issue from a player this week. I received an update from the dev team that I need to get some clarification on, but it seems that the problem was to do with how we get our odds - some lines were not being treated the same as others (thats as simple as they could make it for me!)

There's been a dev ticket added to the queue for a workaround, which should be due for the next update.

@STSToken I'm really sorry to hear that, if you could please PM me your Cloudbet nickname and a few more details about the loss i'll investigate for you now.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

@volusion Thanks very much!  Grin

@btcdevil It's a fair point, we have been working to expand all our sportsbook offerings over the last few months, but maybe we've been a little bit too focused on soccer with all the international leagues kicking off recently. I'll pass on your request for additional focus on our cricket lines, was there a specific tournament or league you were interested in?

Thanks very much,

Morning all, and a big welcome to all the new members for this week's games!

I've updated the spreadsheet and OPs to list the current entrants for this week.

Anyone have any tips for the weekends games?

A couple of people have bet on a big win for Arsenal against West Ham, and although the hammers have been pretty awful so far (sorry @cryptothief!) I don't think Arsenal are going to pull out an easy win with their current form.

Personally I'm thinking of putting an acca on whatever @skenthal predicts this week as he's got the right results for every game so far!  Grin

I can agree with the need to improve our support service, which is in part why your feedback is so valuable when it comes to pushing for changes and improvements.

To that end we have some big news coming in terms of support to announce soon, which should see a greatly improved service for our players, so stay tuned.

@CryptoBrainy I don't have access to player accounts as part of the community team, but i'd be quite surprised if you had been limited in the amount of bets you can place - we have some of the highest max stakes available and pride ourselves on our players being able to bet big on their favourite sports and games.

It's good to remember that our stakes go up as an event gets closer to starting, so it might be best to wait to place large bets.

If you are running in to issues trying to place large bets, you can place the same bets on the same events as many times as you like - so you could always split your stake in half and bet twice if our system is rejecting the size.

I'm still waiting on an explanation as to the delay in your withdrawal, and I'll keep pushing till I can provide you with an reason. I'm here to represent the players to Cloudbet as much as the other way around, and I don't want delays to become a regular occurrence within our community.

@Minus7point5 For many sporting events we have some of the best odds around, especially on certain sports like Baseball and NBA. You can follow speciality accounts like 'Bitcoin Odds Checker' on Twitter to get updates on specific games.

@BTCevo & Samarkand I don't think I'm allowed to discuss where we get our odds from unfortunately, but i'll check and get back to you.

Thanks very much,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casinos community : Is this important for you? on: August 21, 2018, 10:58:08 AM
@panjul07 Thanks very much for the feedback! It's true that a good support service is the foundation for a strong and active community, and I agree that our support can definitely do better in some situations. We should have some big news to share over the next month or two in this regard. What I can say now is that you should see a marked improvement in all our support channels across the board soon.

I like your point about adding different channels too - I was worried that introducing more platforms would fragment our community into even smaller groups. I've been discussing plans for a site-wide live chat with our dev teams so it's definitely something we will be looking in to for the future.

Come to think of it, I guess it would be a good feature of online casinos that require ID anyway to send some very expensive beverage and/or food to those who lost, say, over one bitcoin. It would not really cost much for them, but might cheer up unfortunate people a great deal.

@kryptqnick This is a nice idea. We do offer some cashback for players who have tilted hard, and we have team members in place to contact them directly if we are worried.

Do many people here use Twitter to follow crypto news and gambling sites? It seems like Telegram is much more popular with our crypto crowd, but most of the big casino and sportsbooks haven't made huge inroads there yet.

Morning all, hope you are having a good week so far!

I've updated the OP and sheet with this week's entries - thanks for joining!

We have a new blog coming soon with a preview of this weekend's games, which might be useful for some of you when it comes to predictions.

Looking at all your predictions now I really should have waited for the blog or one of the leaders to post to copy them!

1000  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Sportsbook and Casino | Bet with BTC and BCH | 100% Deposit Bonus on: August 21, 2018, 09:43:09 AM
@SportsClapper Apologies, I was told you were in direct contact with our VIP team so a response from me would not be necessary. Please let me know if the matter is still pending and i'll have a chat with them this morning to catch up on the situation.

@game-protect I'm just a community guy so my legal knowledge is probably a little below par, but as far as I know we follow all of them - when it comes to AML it wouldn't make sense to pick and choose which rules to follow. We are dedicated to responsible gambling and following the relevant AML laws for the territories we operate in.

By the way, the whole 'fraud bet' stuff only serves to make you seem petty and childish to most forum members, and isn't a great way to advertise your services and affiliate links. If you act professionally and talk to people with respect, you might find yourself with more friends and customers on the bitcointalk forums.

Thanks very much,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
