1721  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph suspended my account without valid reason on: August 22, 2022, 05:07:03 PM
Anyways, May I know kung ano nangyari sa appeal mo about gambling deposits sa coins.ph mo kahit hindi ka naggamble? I think denied pa rin since nanggaling sa gambling platform yung deposits.

From the words of coins.ph themselves, ito sabi nila:

Quote
Again, we do understand your situation regarding your violation. We understand that you are not explicitly gambling or doing any form of it. However, we would like to emphasize that your violation is directed toward your involvement/affiliation with gambling entities. This means that part of your violation includes transacting with them even though you do not really engage in gambling.

We completely understand how you feel about this and I have discussed this with our Review Team, sadly, their decision is final. No worries though as this decision is only temporary. Your limits may still be restored once another review is conducted and we have found out that your account activities are now in line with our platform's terms of service.

We, however, would not be able to disclose how often this periodic review occurs as it is done by the team on a case-to-case basis. We hope this clarifies your concern.

Unfortunately, I do not think kung may iba pa bang way para ma-bypass yung issue na to. Dito sa current campaign natin, I changed yung BTC address ko to my BitPay wallet instead. Tapos from time-to-time, sinesend ko yung proceeds from my BitPay to coins.ph account pero I do not think gagana ito once nag periodic check ulit sila. If worse comes to worst, they might completely lock my account kaya habang maaga pa lang talaga, nag hahanap na ako ng alternative.
1722  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: August 22, 2022, 04:43:06 PM
African countries have been tipped as the best option because the continent has some of the world’s deepest gas reserves. But Africa might not replace Russia because of insecurity and lack of infrastructures.

Who will replace Russia?

https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2022/3/1/analysis-can-african-gas-replace-russian-supplies-to-europe

This is an interesting discussion- assuming that Russia completely cuts its ties supplying gas to Europe, this would mean that there would be an increase of 65% in price of household energy.1 With this kind of increase, countries would collapse and its economy would slowly crumble following this cutting of connection.

Though this might be the case, I am assuming that the world leaders are taking measures and contingencies to prevent this from happening. I guess they are slowly looking for alternatives at this stage as they are already accepting that Russia will soon do the inevitable.

There are lots of free lessons, videos and information in the internet. Google will be your best friend since you can search basically almost everything and your question will be answered. In addition, you can also download some books relating to cryptocurrency if you are really determined to find out and discover more about this space.

Fortunately, you also came into the right place. This forum is the largest repository of cryptocurrency information and discussion as thousands of people are active. You can utilize the search bar in this forum and ask anything. But remember, all of these will only work if you are determined and patient enough to study the fundamentals of it.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 22, 2022, 11:54:45 AM
There are big streamers who makes million over a month just streaming daily on Twitch.  Gambling streams are usually sponsored by gambling platforms,  especially Stake have made contracts with all big streamers on slot section of Twitch.  It is paid advertisement and sort of business for both parties but the crazy amounts won by streamers are not fully paid, IMHO.

Like what I also previously mentioned, some of these paid streamers own a stake on the gambling website. They intentionally advertise a certain casino that they are of which partners thereof. This is somehow potentially deceiving especially that they can provide as much funds as possible and rig the rates to their advantage.

Though this might be the case, there are some streamers online who intentionally stream gambling websites and provide honest feedback from it. I just hope that Twitch does something about it given that majority of its audience are underaged adults.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real most rewarding Crypto Casino? on: August 22, 2022, 10:01:25 AM
Loyalty Bonuses & Promotions on Crypto Casinos and Sportsbooks

There is a separate thread in which you can see the detailed information on the bonuses available with different gambling sites. There is no clear picture as requested with clear statistics. Maybe you can create one, that could help others too.

Thank you for this! I am taking a look now. But if there is no analysis/proof how does Rollbit get away calling itself "The Most Rewarding Cryptocasino". Just fluff and marketing with no proof?

They do give back a lot but just wondering if anyone has verified that in fact their rakeback, rollback, etc is truly greater than the daily, weekly, monthly etc that other casinos offer.

I do think that it is not an unverified claim but gambling websites have the freedom and discretion to create a tagline/trademark to themselves to attract more users.

Rollbit calling them "The Most Rewarding Crypto Casino" is something that they invented that attracts users. Other gambling websites have their own tagline that like "The Safest and Fastest Casino", etc. But since Rollbit used such tagline, they may be indeed the most rewarding casino out there. Though this can change if one casino is created matching or providing more benefits/rewards than Rollbit offers currently.
1726  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph suspended my account without valid reason on: August 21, 2022, 06:18:07 PM
Unfortunately, my level 3 verification account was temporarily flagged by coins.ph since yung proceeds daw ng BTCs ko nanggagaling sa isang gambling establishment, which is prohibited by their TOS. Dahil dito, they limited my withdrawal monthly from p400,000 to only p25,000.
Quick question lang po mga kabayan, May I know kung ano yung dahilan ng paglimit ng withdrawal ng coins sa ganto? I mean, right now nakareceive kasi ako ng enhance verification notification at medjo anxious ako since recently nagdirect withdrawal ako sa gambling platform to coins wallet. May connection po ba yung enhance verification na requirement ni coins.ph sa pag withdraw ko on a gambling website papuntang coins.ph address?

According kay coins.ph, they prohibit daw any transaction that involves a gambling establishment. I actually appealed my case and argued (with screenshots + proof) that despite my funds coming from an online establishment, I never gambled nor wagered any money in the process. Yung proceeds na pumapasok sa account ko is purely because of the service that we do sa campaign signature. It just so happened na we are advertising gambling companies and yung pera ay nadedeposit sa respective gambling accounts natin.

To answer your question, afaik ang enhanced KYC ay para mas tumaas din ang withdrawal limits mo. Even if nag send ka ng valid IDs, need mo pa rin ng enhanced KYC para mas tumaas ang withdrawal limits. They told me na nagkakaroon daw sila ng periodic check sa accounts mo na doon nadedetermine kung saan galing BTCs mo.

As long as hindi ka pa naflaflag ni coins.ph, sulitin mo na ito kabayan and siguro mag hanap ka na din ng alternative. Like sabi ko nga din, sobrang restrictive na ni coins.ph to the point na iiwasan mo na talaga mag transact dito.
1727  Economy / Economics / Re: Effect Of Delayed Gratification On Investment Outcome. on: August 21, 2022, 05:59:00 PM
To delay gratification is in my belief; to forego consumption today for greater prosperity tomorrow or better put, delay today's enjoyment for tomorrows benefit. The benefactors who stick to their strategy, have more consistent performance over time. By finding ways to embolden ones own discipline by either looking away, or by holding your long throat, one can use similar tactics to do the same thing as an investor. Think out a plan. Write it down. Set up automatic deposit or dividend reinvestment plans.

Does it therefore mean that the outcome of an investment can be determined in advance when we delay enjoyment/gratification?

The outcome of an investment is always determined in the end where you liquidate your resources and convert it to cash.

Most investors have this hope that the price of BTC will skyrocket in the future. While this may be true, a wise investor must know when to stop and when to convert their coins into profit. Due to the inflationary nature of BTC, its price is highly volatile that may either make or break your investment. While having to profit means at least HODLing your coins, there is nothing wrong with having a break-even investment.

At the end of the day, even if it may be called 'delayed gratification', as long as you profit in the end then that is the only thing that matters.
1728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I have bought Bitcoin ? on: August 21, 2022, 05:33:56 PM
I'm glad and happy a Monk is using bitcoin and he's quite positive and have the mind to spread about bitcoin. Nowadays more charities have started to accept donations in the form of cryptocurrencies. This doesn't mean they accept bitcoin alone, altcoins were also accepted. Already with the help of forum members there were more charity programs being run by individual members who have dedicated themselves for the social service.

It is actually rare to hear that a monk has utilized bitcoin as a means of living.

Just a curious question, since you vowed your life to serve and live as a monk, do you not get any savings from the establishment that you are working on? In addition, how did the person donate 1 BTC to you? Did he provided a wallet with 1 BTC inside or do you have a local exchange where a wallet is present? How were you also able to convert your BTC to cash?

Given that exchanges are strict with withdrawals, I am very curious as how you managed to live using BTC in the past few months.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of psychological tricks that casinos use. on: August 21, 2022, 05:08:13 PM
Though these psychological tricks are present in an actual casino, I wonder if there are similar tricks or different methods where they can integrate this kind of thinking in online casinos. Do you guys also think that there are any psychological trick/s that are adopted in online gambling casinos as well?
With online casinos it is quite hard to read the user minds. With real Casinos everything is visible and face expressions itself more than enough to understand a person's situation. With online casinos only thing that can be done is triggering. Whenever we search something related to gambling then onwards Google keeps suggesting things related to it. In such a way gamblers might get triggered to gamble and such tricks as real casinos can't be made effective.

Nope its kinda the same since most of the time they use winning scenarios where people get curious to see about how those people earn that way upon playing to their casino. This is why we see they post those huge win because for sure they can increase the curiosity of the people who seek money from playing gambling. Also the entertainment factor is another method they made that's why they caught up many people to play at their casino.

Posts of big winners definitely can stir the interest of some players.
It is like their motivation to have the same fate, but unfortunately, it is no easy feat.
But a good way to advertise the casino as it means, they are also capable of paying up big winnings.
It also give an assurance that they can take care of players with huge payouts.

Oh this makes completely sense if a gambling website posts the winnings of an individual player in the current bet.

However, I wonder if there are gambling websites that post fake information/winnings on their website to attract more customers in the process. In addition, I think by posting the potential jackpot that one can win, this leads them one, thus affecting their psychological behaviour into betting more. While the effect may be relatively different compare to visiting actual casinos, the fact that these websites can at least reproduce the same affect is potentially alarming and dangerous.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It For The Money Or For The Sport Or A Clear Exploitations on: August 21, 2022, 03:42:59 PM
Should we allow or support internet sensations to fight in the ring I'm ok with the Paul brothers but these two other so-called internet sensations are making a mockery of boxing.

Watch the whole fight here
https://dailymmafighting.com/watch-kazakh-titan-dropped-iranian-hulk-in-first-round/

Does the fight drew lots of attention in the public to the point that its profits reached sky high? I think so; but
Does the fight go against the spirit of boxing where two boxers would fight and the winner would be decided based on their individual skills and techniques? Arguably yes.

Unfortunately, the entertainment industry focuses too much on drawing attention from the public in order to gain and earn a quick buck. Since the public also saw the match entertaining, they spent their money watching, even if the match is somehow one-sided.
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of psychological tricks that casinos use. on: August 20, 2022, 10:48:56 PM
Oh this is very interesting! I actually did not notice that casinos tend to hide their clocks but it makes sense as it prevents people from knowing what time it is. In addition, all of the casinos I previously visited have this "chip" system where you exchange cash for these and they represent the main currency in that gambling establishment.

Though these psychological tricks are present in an actual casino, I wonder if there are similar tricks or different methods where they can integrate this kind of thinking in online casinos. Do you guys also think that there are any psychological trick/s that are adopted in online gambling casinos as well?
1732  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Looking for 0.026 BTC Loan on: August 20, 2022, 07:34:47 PM
Unfortunately, hindi pumayag mga international lenders na sina Darkstar and shasan sa aking loan request.

If someone is willing to accept my loan request, the total repayment would be p40,000 within 3-4 months. I will be making monthly payments given na nag-extend din ang campaign signature ko to 1+ month.

Hopefully may mag accept ng loan request ko since I really have to purchase a new laptop for my online class this semester. Sobrang malas lang ng timing na bumigay na laptop ko after using it for 7+ years kaya badly needed ko talaga.
1733  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BSP to have crypto education in Philippines. on: August 20, 2022, 07:15:36 PM

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-needs-enabling-environment-philippines-central-bank-says

This is wonderful news actually!

1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto Reveal his identity ............ ? on: August 20, 2022, 07:02:45 PM
There are huge speculation that if Satoshi Nakamoto reveal his identity and sell his Bitcoin then the Bitcoin market will crash. This is nonsense propaganda by few Bitcoin community leaders.

When Satoshi Nakamoto will reveal his identity, he will get a Nobel Prize in economic science, he may not need to sell his bitcoins at all. Even if Satoshi Nakamoto sell his Bitcoins and donate to charities, it will not affect the Bitcoin value. When he will get a Nobel Prize in Economic Science there after hundreads of millions of investors will buy Bitcoins. The Bitcoin price will hike and go to the moon. That is my prediction.

Satoshi Nakamoto is a benevolent Economic Scientist and he deserve the recognition for his work.

Satoshi Nakamoto is nothing but a pure-genius person that invented a revolutionary way of payments in avoiding any third-party consenus. Creating bitcoin is nothing but the very best thing that has ever done these past few years due to the opportunities and potential improvements it may apply to countries.

Unfortunately, if Satoshi were to reveal his identity, his life may be put to danger. I also doubt that he would liquidate majority of his BTCs as this would go against his vision. Market may crash and I doubt that he would be selfish as to let such thing happen.
1735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What the pressure for success comes with on: August 20, 2022, 06:49:10 PM
Anyone who expects that the forum owes them something will undoubtedly be offended. Many, having seen enough YouTubers, who in 2017 churned out batches of videos about how they managed to get rich with the help of the forum, are still hoping for such a freebie. Although, to be honest, even then there was more boasting than actually successful "rich people".
But smart people just can't wake up without coffee and reading the forum. For many, this forum has become part of their routine. You can also add to all those offended after that, wasting time in the hope of making quick money, they harmed only themselves.
Reading the forum can not be called a waste of time. This is the future, and the better and sooner we are prepared for it, the more successful our tomorrow can be.

Unfortunately, there are people who underestimate this forum as they only see it as an alternative means of income. While that may be true, this forum was built for more than that purpose- in fact, this is the biggest repository of knowledge about cryptocurrencies all throughout.

The fact that you can post any question and a cryptocurrency veteran can almost immediately answer your question speaks for the forum itself. I just hope that more people would see the value of this forum, not only as a means of getting "physically" rich but also mentally rich with knowledge.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What’s your gambling profit percentage limit? on: August 20, 2022, 06:30:52 PM
....snip

Are you using using same method on limiting your gambling crave? What’s your percentage goal?

My method revolves around being safe as soon as I hit a profit on my end. Given the risks and nature of gambling, one single game can either make/break my whole profit situation where there is that potential of continuously betting.

I answered that my gambling profit percentage limit is below 50%. I do not mind having a low profit but the fact that won and my initial gambling money is higher when I first entered the casino, I consider that as a win on my book. Maybe it is also because I view gambling as a means of potentially earning money, not as a means of entertainment.
1737  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitdice delaying everything they can to kyc and withdraw on: August 20, 2022, 06:22:01 PM
Started playing at bitdice. Seemed fun at first.

I deposited 50$, won in the whole session 750$,  super excited but then I saw chats coming in that withdrawals took 20 days or ppl didn't get conformation emails on withdrawals, so I got scared.

I withdrew 750$ and after 4 hours I got asked for kyc. I instantly send the documents and it has been 80+ hours and kyc hasn’t even been completed.

Live support keeps saying they’ll ping the team but nothing happens. Payment team also said they didn't receive my proof of funds which I send 6 hours before that as asked.

They keep making up reasons to delay the whole process and keep telling me to wait 24h and I'm sick of it.

Bitdice has been around since 2014 and I doubt that they would risk ruining their reputation due to a delay in withdrawals.

Since they explicitly mentioned that they will ping the team, the only thing that you can do right now is to wait. You have to give credit- their customer support service is active and present enough to take action on your issue. Since you also mentioned that the confirmation is already @ 7/15, you just have to wait and see what will happen from now.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 19, 2022, 05:09:49 PM
This actually depends on the streamer if they are affiliated with the said gambling website.

I remember back in the days, various YouTubers streamed and advertised a specific gambling website. But in reality, they were affiliated and had a stake on it. The owner of the website also seemed to provide him with limitless funds in order to deceive the public into showing that the chances of winning are high.

Though this might be the case, there are only a few streamers who actually gamble using their own funds. I think this is a case where a streamer just enjoys the act of gambling. He does not care whether the company chooses to pay him to advertise or not; what matters is that he/she gambles.
1739  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking profits vs holding long term? on: August 19, 2022, 04:29:59 PM
Have been involved with Crypto 6 months now and my portfolio is now only 20% down due to this run we are currently going through.

My main position is 55% in profit and I have been debating if I should take some to then buy back lower when we experience our next crash.

Just wondering what everyone else does? Do you take profits along the way and if so at what point? Or do you just invest to hold long term?

When I first started 6 months ago I had the intention of just buying and waiting 2-3 years till our next bull run to cash out but lately I have been thinking if I can also make money along the way then that would be even better.

This actually depends on your ultimate goal- are you willing to continue the risk of HODLing or are you willing to accept the risk and convert such to cash for liquidity?

But in all honesty, this must entirely depend on your profit threshold. As a general rule, you must at least recover the amount of initial investment that you made. Once you have recovered the price, then it is up to you if you want to continue HODLing or if you want to take those short-term profits and invest more in the process.
1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your ideas about bitcoin adoption in the future? on: August 19, 2022, 02:43:05 PM
I am still very new to the bitcoin world and of course there are many questions I still need to ask this community about bitcoin to clear up any confusion.

Bitcoin is a new type of currency that is constantly evolving. Many new ideas about its use as a means of payment will be discovered and perhaps this revolution will continue to escalate. Here in my country bitcoin is not a legal tender, but I know that some of you may have used it as a means of payment for goods or services. As for new ideas, I think of a few but the fact doesn't directly allow me to legally adopt them as doing so would be against the law. How about you, do you have any good ideas for future bitcoin adoption?

The beauty behind BTC's technology is the power of the blockchain to create a public spreadsheet where it contains permanent information that people cannot change. Once you have this technology, you can adopt it to various services and products. For example, if you scan a fruit in the supermarket, its full database containing all the processes that it undergo will reflect. This will give you an idea if the fruit that you just bought is safe from all the harmful fertilizers or if the farmers handled it with care.

The example that I provided above is just one out of the many things that the blockchain technology can do.
