It looks like it is determined that Guirassy will not be able to play against Dortmund. This is really bad news for Stuttgart of course. Because they are relying on his finishing skills quite much. Without him they haven't been able to get good results so far. I don't think this will change against Dortmund as well. They would probably have serious issues with scoring easily.

Dortmund should be able to make use of their situation. They got a bad result against Bayern Munich maybe but we still saw really good against Newcastle in the Champions League. I expect them to win here again.

I am surprised that Dortmund’s odds are still very weak:

2.52 - 3.85 - 2.58

In fact, Dortmund and Stuttgart are neighbors in the standings, plus Dortmund has a stronger historical background and reliability - they have only one defeat in the Bundesliga, and Stuttgart has 3. It seems to me that the bet on Dortmund is obvious here.

Arsenal played really bad against Newcastle on the previous game week. It caused them to lose the game as well. They already had some games in which they played really badly even though they won those ones. However I believe we will see some progress this week. They should be able to win against Burnley home comfortably.

I saw them really solid against Sevilla last night by the way. They completely dominated the game in Emirates and won by 2-0 easily. This should be a good sign for their future games in the Premier League as well. The interesting thing is the recent games between Arsenal and Burnley ended up with close scores. Maybe this would be the one things change.  Smiley

I don't think the game against Sevilla is an indicator of anything. Sevilla after 11 games has 11 points in La Liga and this is an extremely low figure for any league and especially for La Liga. But I also expect a big victory over Burnley since this team scores the worst in the Premier League and concedes almost 3 goals per game on average. Arsenal must crush it.
1863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 10, 2023, 03:10:51 PM
It seems that after this round the fight for the title will be between two clubs Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal as the rest will fall behind by 5 points or more. But if Al-Hilal cannot beat Al-Taawoun, which is currently in fourth place, and if they win, they will overtake Al-Ahli, then everything will get confused again. Al-Nasr plays with team from 8th place tomorrow, so we can expect them to take 3 points.

It sounds impossible to happen. I meant that if the fact al hilal can't be beaten by the club which is placing above taawoun. Al hilal is having all of its main players ready to face taawoun. I expect the club to win at least two goals against al taawoun. Al hilal's odds is very disappointed but considering that al hilal is the strongest team in the saudi pro league and i must say that if that may become an easy win.
I see no problem is facing al hilal. Mitrovic and savic will be ready to face taawoun. Im sure mitrovic will able to destroy taawoun soon.
It's just the matter of time until that will be going to happen. Nassr may struggle to play without ronaldo. Even though al nassr was winning the last game but it doesn't mean the club can perform better than previous game.

On the contrary, it is impossible not to lose points ever. And if you think about it, where else is it more logical to lose points than in a game with a team that is very close in the standings? Yes, Al-Hilal is the favorite but this does not guarantee that they will win today. The game has already started and I see that the live odds are very interesting - 1.38 for Al-Hilal to win.
1864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 10, 2023, 03:02:27 PM
But leading the table after 12 games is a whole lot different from leading the table after 5 games. But don't get me wrong, I agree that this is very early to conclude anything about their chances to finish the season at the top or among the best La Liga teams, but the consistency they have maintained over almost a third of the season has been remarkable. They enjoy the game and score so many goals. It is great attacking football.

But I am looking forward to December 10th when they play against Barcelona at home and then beginning of January they play against Atletico Madrid also at home. If they then still lead the table and don't lose these games, I think we can welcome a new contender for the La Liga title.

I think you're looking too far ahead. Before the game with Barcelona, Girona will have 3 more games and for example in the next one (with Rayo Vallecano) their chances are estimated as 2.34, which is quite far from the favorite’s quotes. Girona had one big match this season - against Real Madrid at home and they lost it 0-3. Just because they were able to win against a lot of weak teams (check who they beat) does not mean that they will be strong in games against strong teams.

Mbappe is really at a very big point of his career. Here any decision will be the turning point around his career with Real Madrid slowly losing interest in the French forward, I think he’s gonna be so quick to chose another destination so that he can continue to flourish, but sincerely I think Real Madrid might still come for him owing to the fact that the lack of a striker is what’s the missing piece in their formidable team.

With Chelsea and Liverpool watching from the sides, I think Mbappe’s priority will be UCL football and with Chelsea’s current form, I think that might not be a good destination for this star man, Real Madrid has everything he needs but does he have what Real Madrid needs? Surprises are bound to spring up in the last minutes owing to the fact that Mbappe’s transfer will be the big news of the summer and his new club will be on the spotlight next season,Let’s see how things unfold.

Mbappe is almost 25 years old (in a month) and given the fact that new stars like Haaland, Bellingham and some others are emerging, he really needs to hurry to occupy his niche both in the media space and in the “golden annals of football”. Despite the fact that he already has many achievements with the national team, at the club level he cannot yet boast of anything special since the Ligue 1 titles do not interest anyone. If the transfer to Real takes place, we will see the first news in the winter as official negotiations will already be resolved between the parties.

Al-Ahli failed to maintain its lead after being held to a draw by host Damac with the same score of 2-2. I thought this would be a landslide victory for Al-Ahli because they were ahead in the first half with 2 goals. But it seems that as the host, Damac didn't want to give up and didn't want to accept the result until in the end they managed to equalize in the 73rd minute and also in the 90+1 minute. Al-Ahli would have almost gotten 3 points if Damac had not scored a goal in the minute of injury time and with this result Al-Ahli failed to match the points tally with Al-Nassr in the standings.

As a result, United implemented an even more interesting option - they lost to Copenhagen in the Champions League and seem to be saying goodbye to this tournament  Grin I'm surprised at how resilient he is - any other coach would have been fired for half of these failures.
It seems that Arsenal had no problems at all with Sevilla (which made their only shot on target in stoppage time). They are terrible in both tournaments, so perhaps the odds for their victory of less than 10 should be considered unprofitable?

Sigh, yes, but 4/1 odds on Kopenhagn didn't attract me enough for betting, unfortunately. The smart bet now would be an acca on them to win their next two games vs Galatasaray and Bayern, but no markets yet for the latter game so I will do this manually Wink

I actually think TH is good, but I've said before the real problem is to undo the culture of "it's ok to be average" at the club. Rashford had his manager backing him throughout his horrid start but then he goes clubbing after losing the derby? I think he doesn't have the full team backing, which is a shame.

Hmmm... You have a peculiar view on betting, but I didn’t think that you had the same view on coaches  Wink Maybe as a Liverpool fan you just like United's results under Ten Hag?  Cheesy I evaluate Ten Hag completely differently, but I write about this everywhere so I won’t repeat myself.
Yes, I heard about this situation with Rashford, but I didn’t attach much importance to it since it seemed to be not a club get-together, but a birthday in the family circle. But to be consistent, Ten Hag should have punished Rashford anyway.
1868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 10, 2023, 01:10:29 PM
Yes, Ten Hag is not only guilty of Manchester United's failure but also their players don't really have the abilities that Ten Hag wants to use the strategies and tactics that Ten Hag has given. It seems that Manchester United is not yet fully ready to play in the UCL so they still seem to be need time to learn again so that in the next season when they play in the UCL, they can perform better than this season.

There is no hope of being successful in the UCL, Manchester United should be able to focus more now on the EPL because of course they can start by slowly improving what is lacking in order to complete the style of play that Ten Hag wants, even so Ten Hag is also responsible for Manchester's failure United and he has to fix it or he chooses to resign or be fired.

Next season United will play in the Europa League at best. If you seriously think that United will make it into the top 4, then you can bet on it with very good odds.
As for the game that Ten Hag is trying to build, it seems that no one understands what he wants - not the fans, not the players, not himself.

Where does that leave Fury and Usyk? If over time Fury had worked out how to defeat Wilder how does that affect the Fury vs Usyk possible fight? In my opinion if this Fury/Usyk drama was to continue the best thing that can happen in order to add pressure on both Fury and Usyk, is for Joshua to fight Wilder. That would really add a new dimension to the heavyweight division.

Before Usyk entered the scene, Wilder was considered Fury's toughest opponent. In fact, many believed Wilder would win the fight, and he was the heavy favorite on sports betting sites. Wilder was -160 in the first fight and -125 in the second one. He was actually the underdog in their last bout, and he lost because Fury had figured out how to beat him. Although Fury had already defeated Wilder in their rematch, the last fight was a pretty dominant win for him.

Fury defeated Wilder three times, and Usyk declassed Joshua twice. No matter how they fight with each other (Wilder and Joshua), it is unlikely that this can somehow change their position regarding the Usyk-Fury pair, at least until we see the first fight between Usyk and Fury. Theoretically, one could speculate that the balance of power in this four could turn over over time, but these boxers are at such an age that in the coming years they will simply end their careers.

Yes, their chances are small:

UEFA Champions League 2023/24 - To Qualify From Group F - Newcastle United

Yes 3.20

No 1.30

But such is the group of death - every round (and especially two) everything turns upside down. After beating PSG they were favorites but now have become underdogs. There are still two games ahead so everything could turn around again. Tonali's disqualification and injuries have led to Newcastle having problems with their squad, now they are not playing optimally, so it's still not a matter of experience in my opinion.

So far, every team in Group F  has a chance of qualifying  for the Round of 16. Newcastle are now just 2 points behind PSG. And Dortmund are 3 points behind. If Newcastle  win their next match against PSG, the scenario will change completely. Newcastle  may be able to move  to the second place in the points table. And if they beat Milan in the last match, Newcastle can strengthen the second place in the table. It is still impossible to predict which two teams from Group F will play in the Round of 16.

Yes, we were lucky that the games worked out so that until the last round, each team will be forced to play for victory, since a defeat could throw it back 2 places at once. This is actually not such a usual case because groups of death often end with two teams suddenly dominating the other two and the final rounds being uninteresting.
1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 10, 2023, 11:02:23 AM
Harry will obviously scoring against heidenheim. The performance of heidenheim is not that good. 3 win 1 draw and 6 losses. That's enough to explain how bad this team is. Heidenheim is pretty much the same like darmstadt which has been destroyed by bayern.

Look at the current odds for this match

that's enough to explain if this match is not even worthy to bet. Bayern's odds even less than 1.1 which is horrible. I would not pick this match. The odds was not even worthy with the risk.

There may be more than 4 goals to be made by bayern against heidenheim. Bayern is just facing one of easy team.

You are wrong to think that if the odds for Bayern to win are very small, then you should not bet, because you can always bet with a handicap. For example, the victory of Bayern with a handicap of minus two goals is estimated as 1.53, which is already quite attractive.
The probability that Kane will score a goal in this game is estimated at 1.35, I can’t say that this is profitable, but the odds itself indicate how good Kane is.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: November 09, 2023, 06:04:42 PM
I thought I would see PSG win against Milan. But PSG were unlucky. Even after dominating the entire match, PSG could not win. PSG played badly I wouldn't say that. They had 70% of the ball possession and were able to attack a lot. Even so, they were defeated in the end.

The match against Reims is very important for PSG. PSG are yet to occupy the top spot in the points table. PSG is second in the points table, 1 point behind Nice. Enrique's only attempt now should be to hold on to the top of the Ligue 1 points table. If PSG fall behind now, it will be even more difficult for them to climb the table in the future. Monaco, Nice and Reims are playing well now.

I agree, I also expected PSG to win, primarily because Milan is too weak this season (in big games), but they were lucky/there was a fluctuation. But for PSG, essentially nothing has changed - they are in second place and everything depends on them, if they win the remaining games then they qualify regardless of other results.
I don’t think that PSG will have problems with Reims, on the contrary, against the backdrop of a (in feel undeserved) defeat from Milan, PSG will have additional sporting anger and a big score is possible.
1874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 09, 2023, 12:06:28 PM
Newcastle have three strong opponents in the group and I think their result is not that bad. They still have a chance to even win first place, so it’s too early to say that they should learn something. In previous seasons, we saw the collapse of clubs in much easier conditions (for example, Barcelona, having only two strong opponents, did not qualify from the group).
They are relatively new to European competition, the Chmpions League to be precise, so perhaps they need to get used to the pressure of Europe's biggest competition. But even so, that can't justify their loss of stability in the game. Maybe some of us will take this for granted, but this is a valuable lesson for them, because they know they have to be better if they want to talk more in the Champions League. Now their chances of qualifying from the group stage are very slim, still there but small and it also depends on the results of other clubs.

A red card is nothing compared to the serious injury that Rashford could have caused (whether intentionally or not) so I would say the punishment was fair.
What next season are you talking about?  Grin United are in 8th place in the Premier League and the problem is not the number of points, but the fact that their game is as poor as possible and I assess this 8th place as a deviation from a fair result upwards.

I don't like Marcus Rashford personally but have you checked closey to see his approach? Marcus Rashford had no intentions of fouling that lad, all he was trynna do was protect the ball. The match officials understanding of the game is not too quality, for it it was he woulda know that wasn't intentional. Since he has given the red card can I change the fact? No! So ahead ahead they go, they must climb their own mountain.

It does not matter. If he had intentionally committed such an act, he would have received a red + 5 game suspension. Thank God football rules protect the health of players and all potentially dangerous actions should be excluded. I think you've heard that tackles from behind are a violation even if the player was able to play the ball and did not hit the player from whom he took the ball? Think about why this is so now (as opposed to the old days).

I have seen different opinions about the refereeing in the Copenhagen - United game, but personally it seems to me that the referee was wrong (or made controversial decisions) in both directions. In any case, it doesn’t matter because if clowning happens on a regular basis, then the problem is with the coach and not with “endless accidents.” In addition, if you look at the games where United won, it is obvious that a huge part of these victories are also pure coincidence.
The red card for Marcus Rashford is very serious and it's so unlucky for Rashford to have a foul and a red card like this. That foul can cause a serious injury on the Copenhagen player but Rashford did not try to make a foul. A yellow card can be enough in that situation but referee sometimes have to make decision without some thinking that what if it is a yellow card and what if it is a red card. They don't have time to think too much like we can spend hours or days to think and discuss about it. In an on going match, decisions must be made quickly and it gives chance for mistake, wrong decision.

The odds shows Manchester United chance is smaller after this defeat and maybe they will have to wait for a next season to go to a Round of 16 in Champions League.

A red card is nothing compared to the serious injury that Rashford could have caused (whether intentionally or not) so I would say the punishment was fair.

After Neymar, now Al Hilal is near to signing a contract with Salah, he is currently playing for Liverpool but this player hasn't had a good performance so far. Salah was close to joining Al Ittihad during the summer but they failed and I don't think if they can hire another player during the winter but after the drama they had with Neymar now Al Hiala can hire Salah to have another superstar in their team.

Salah's move can be considered a done deal, Saudi Arabia suits him for religious reasons and in general all parties except Liverpool wanted this move before the start of this season. I was surprised by another news - that it is possible that KDB will move to Saudi Arabia in the summer. He will turn 33 in the summer, he won everything he could with City and it looks like he needs to monetize his last years to the maximum. From all sides this is logical, but still it’s difficult for me to accept it, since this is also the passing of an entire era for the City.

Ten Hag could also think more maturely, after all, if he has problems with management (and Sancho is not the first player with whom he had an open conflict) then maybe part of the problem is himself? Unfortunately, I don’t remember the last name, but Ten Hag had a conflict with (and kicked out of the club) a player when he was still coaching Ajax, and the further career of this player was quite solid.
It’s obvious that Sancho won’t play under Ten Hag because he won’t apologize, but it doesn’t seem to bother him, but the United management is always coming up with some dirty tricks for Sancho, now this is the exception of their group chat - oh my god Sancho probably can’t sleep after such a blow!
Jadon Sancho's dispute is quite long, while Erik Ten Hag has strict principles for players who do not follow his rules, not only the coach Jadon Sancho may also have problems with management, since his arrival he has not been respected, maybe there is another reason where he is not so comfortable.

Is it true that he was previously promised the number 7 on his jersey? That's what I know in some previous news but in the end the number was given to Ronaldo who was brought back in 2021.

I don’t know about the promise of a number, but the fact is that ETH’s promises are worth nothing - regarding Ronaldo, he said that he needed him and that he was counting on him and then put him on the bench. Instead of breaking up peacefully before the season, a big scandal happened.
As for the principles, I would call this a model of behavior and not principles. This behavior model is well suited for provincial clubs, but for clubs where there are stars and experienced players, the “I’m the boss and the rest are fools” behavior model only causes irritation and conflicts.

The performance of Lewandowski in Barcelona has been very disappointing so far in this season and this play didn't start the season well. Maybe it would have been better for him and Barcelona if this player had left Barcelona for the Arabian teams during last summer because so far Lewandowski hasn't scored a single goal in the six games and this is enough to say Lewandowski is under pressure in Barcelona. The last time this player was in bad form was in 2011 when Lewandowski couldn't score a goal in six games and this is happening again.

At the moment, the rumors are just that: Lewandowski will move to Saudi Arabia in the summer. And in fact, I don’t see any other option - he’s getting old quickly and given the fact that for Barcelona he was initially a temporary option and that his effectiveness is declining, it’s time to part ways. Even if he played at the level of last year, it would be unprofitable for Barcelona to keep him since next year he will be 36 years old - no prospects.
