1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 28, 2023, 10:38:21 PM
I have never bothered to find out what my percentage of winning is when it comes to betting, and this is because, personally, I myself know that I have more losses than winning.

But when it comes to copying bets from other gamblers, possibly pro bettors, what I do look at is the number of total bets ever placed, which must be over a million and more, then, the winning ratio must be around 75 to 80 percent, I always consider finding gamblers with the same number of bets and a winning ratio of 85 to 90 percent and above a blessing, because, such stats is very hard to find, except the stats is manipulated.

But for me, over a million bets and a win ratio of 75 to 80 percent is a true pro.

Do these statistics reflect the odds with which the bets were made? If not, then these statistics are useless and can only confuse those who do not know the nuances. If you want to achieve similar statistics, then place bets with odds up to 1.1 and you will easily get this result. The problem is that the deposit will still be in the red.

Newcastle will not be missing some important players. I have seen some important players like joelinton, or even almiron was playing in EPL. They will not miss the game against PSG. PSG was also slowly building their momentum.
I kinda feel this is going to be ended with draw as the result. Newcastle have to win the game as the only solution to make club qualify for the knock out stage.

PSG being favored to win the game instead of newcastle. I knew that bookies were valuing the consistent result by PSG in league 1 but statistically, there was no club in league 1 who is as strong as newcastle.

What do you think about btts? I kinda feel this is a sense choice consider newcastle and PSG willnot try to miss opportunity to get three points.

I also think that the game will end in a draw, because when I try to imagine how one of the teams can win, I see that both teams have arguments in favor of this and the weaknesses of both teams are also approximately the same. I would again bet on Newcastle but I think in this game the home field factor balances the odds.
As for BTTS, this is an obvious choice, so I won’t do it (haha) since the coefficient will be too low. I would choose BTTS No if the odds are greater than 2.5.

Well  Cool
Although I must admit that although the final result was fair (thanks to the heroism of the Newcastle goalkeeper), the way in which this result was achieved does not seem logical at all.
But now, unfortunately, the intrigue in this group has almost died, since in the last round it is enough for PSG to draw with the demotivated Dortmund, which qualified ahead of schedule for the 1/8 (who would have imagined such a thing lol).
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 28, 2023, 10:01:45 PM
Considering that the relationship between Osimhen and Napoli has suffered greatly, I think that this transfer is very likely, but not in the winter transfer window. What is the point of rushing so much if Osimhen and Napoli will be in the 1/8 of the Champions League (Braga is unlikely to overtake them) and will have a chance to compete for the most prestigious European title?
Financially, Chelsea is quite ready to spend any amount of money to realize their plans, but several players have to be sacrificed here. Yes, I don't think it will happen quickly, even though currently Osimhen relationship with Napoli management is less than harmonious. Nkunku, Jackson and Broja are the strikers that Pochettino currently has, with the arrival of Osimhen one of them will automatically be sacrificed.

It is true that whoever is the striker who is recruited, if it is not supported by a playmaker who is able to distribute the ball well, will look mediocre, even if it is Osimhen. On the other hand, the Blues must ensure that their transfer policy avoids FFP violations, because that could destroy them with sanctions.

Actually, Pochettino needs one or two good players in defense too, so as not to concede four goals in one match in a row. But we'll see what steps the management and Boss Pochettino will take. For me, with the current squad, they need several seasons to become more mature.

I would rather believe that Everton will be punished a second time for one violation than that Chelsea or City will be punished for a dozen of their sins  Grin
As for several seasons, it seems to me that for top clubs (Chelsea seems to be claiming to correspond to this status) such a concept simply does not exist. The result is needed here and now. If by the summer there are no clear positive dynamics for Chelsea, then Pochettino will be replaced and the entire squad will be reviewed again.
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 28, 2023, 09:55:13 PM
Are you joking? Almost all groups of the qualifying tournament were easy for the favorites, and Germany, with a draw, would have been in the first pot 100%, so there was simply no chance of getting into a difficult group. Even if Germany ended up in a group like B or C, it would be a question of “first or second place,” but not a question of whether Germany could qualify.
No, I'm not joking at all.  Grin  You must have seen Germany struggling for a long time. They were below the expectations in the last World Cup first of all. They have played so many friendlies after that and the overall look is just horrible honestly. Maybe you might say that friendlies doesn't show the real strength of teams.

However their World Cup performance wasn't good either like I said. As for the easiness of Euro 2024 qualifiers groups it is mostly really easy for the favourites like you said.

However if Germany were in one of the tougher groups I would doubt their direct qualification a lot. For example if Germany were in Group C instead of Italy then I think they could have finished in 3rd place. Because I think that Italy are performing better than Germany now.

Germany's results at the last major tournaments look terrible, primarily because the bar for expectations from them is very high. Yes, they are not the same as they were before, but they are definitely in the top group. By the way, any team from the top group can fail - for example, France, being world champions, could not beat Switzerland in the 1/8 at Euro 2020 and dropped out of the tournament.

As for strength, here are the official games in the League of Nations: Germany has only one defeat in the group with Italy and England (from Hungary haha). Considering that England are now among the favorites in every tournament, this is significant.

Doesn't it bother you that if Bayer wins, their streak of consecutive victories will become even more incredible? It seems to me that given the status of Dortmund (huge volatility which sometimes allows them to beat anyone, as well as lose to anyone) it makes sense to take a risk and bet on Dortmund.
Of course, I would like Bayer to continue to win, but this has to end someday, and the second game with Bayern is still a long time to wait.
I don't know why I am optimistic about Bayer Leverkusen this season. In the past I was pretty sure they cannot stand in front of big Bayern Munich. Even Dortmund wasn't able to overtake them while they were having Haaland or last season when they were almost close to win the title. Right now Xabi Alonso is doing good with Bayer Leverkusen, they are not only winning but they score many goals at the same time which is reassuring!

I think it’s quite clear why you are optimistic - you (like most fans with the exception of Bayern fans) want this sad domination to stop and something interesting to happen in the Bundesliga. I would also be optimistic if Bayern had not returned to their previous figures (around 90% of points scored) - now Bayer is ahead, but if Bayern does not have a decline, then I doubt that anyone other than Bayern will be able to maintain this pace. The only hope for Bayer is that Bayern will go very far in the Champions League and all their games will be difficult.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 28, 2023, 09:39:32 PM
Hehe, here are the title quotes from bookmakers at the moment:

Real Madrid 1.50

Barcelona Fc 3.75

Atlético Madrid 9.00

Girona 17.00

As I predicted earlier, Barcelona is already rated above 3 and it is unlikely that the situation for it will change for the better in the near future.
But what about Atlético's quotes!?  Shocked Why are they lower than Barcelona and so much so? Regarding Girona, I have no questions; everything is obvious.

There is a quite interesting game next week which is between Leverkusen and Dortmund. Leverkusen are the hosting team and they are quite the favourite @1.67 as well. There is nothing to be surprised of here of course. Everything is very clear in the standings now. Leverkusen are way better than their opponent this season. They are even a little better than Bayern Munich.

I don't feel like this is the game in which Xabi Alonso and his players lose points. I remember that Leverkusen lost to them by 2-0 in the previous season and Xabi Alonso was managing the team. But this time is much more different. Leverkusen have progressed a lot. I think they will win too.

Last night Sevilla also suffered another defeat after they were unable to overcome any attacks from Real Sociedad and the score ended 2-1. Even though they were two goals behind, Sevilla actually still had the chance to equalize, but unfortunately they could only score one goal in this match. The game between the two teams looked so fierce that it was not surprising that there were so many fouls and that was also what resulted in Sergio Ramos and Jesus Navas getting red cards at the end of the match. I don't think they need to do that, especially since the team is already behind and the possibility of defeat is in sight.

Sevilla must be quite disadvantaged with two of their players having to miss the next two La Liga matches due to sanctions from this red card. Sergio Ramos continues to be a bad boy and he is a player who is often sent off with 29 red cards throughout his career since the 2000s.

Wow, Ramos is leading by an incredible margin here. But what struck me about this picture is that Pepe is not in it. He has the image of an absolutely crazy player (although with age he has curbed his temper) and while studying the table I looked for him to find out where he was.
As for the prospects of Sevilla, they could even be relegated to the Segunda if the teams below were not even worse. Sevilla has finally turned into a bottom team.

I'm not at all confident that Poland will win (although they might be favorites on paper), Santos has lost his luck. As for the details about the tournament of losers, it’s better to look at the wiki, when I figured it out I got a headache.
Isn't it clear that looking at the history of their previous meetings, Poland has always managed to beat Wales.
But no one knows what the future will be like. Talking about Poland and your words about Santos losing luck made me suddenly remember how Fernando Santos failed with Poland and he was the only person to blame.
~

If history played on the field, we would know the results of many games/tournaments in advance and would never have seen the rise of such teams as Greece, etc. I'm really not sure about Poland although they are the favourites.
As for Santos’s failures, perhaps you didn’t mean Poland, but Portugal? Well, basically, who else could be blamed for ruining relationships within the team (without achieving results)?
1490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 27, 2023, 12:29:41 PM
So, the buzz is that Chelsea is looking for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen for their top January transfer. He's a hotshot striker, but Chelsea as a team is in great turmoil. It's like they're targeting anything with dreadlocks – a bit confusing club.
In my opinion, it might be a bit ridiculous decision if Napoli let their best player go in January. Chelsea might want to wait until next summer for negotiations. I've seen this happen before with Aubameyang, Felix, Lukaku, Jackson – Chelsea somehow makes them look like average strikers. It's a tough deal for the players to make move there.
I think this is again Osimhen's decision that will determine everything and if he is still comfortable playing with Napoli it is likely he will stay. However, if Osimhen wants a new challenge, of course he will not hesitate to accept Chelsea's offer. We know that he also once revealed that Chelsea was one of his dream teams since he was a child and despite the chaos that is Chelsea, there will definitely be a solution in the future.

Maybe if Osimhen joins Chelsea, of course the thing you need to pay attention to is their midfield because Osimhen will also look ordinary if there is no support from other players. Like passes or assists are things that a great striker like Osimhen wants and he just needs to do it with his finishing. I think Pochettino also has to add to the list of players in other positions in January so that their game can be maximized.

When Newcals trampled PSG in the Champions League, they also looked great, then they were unlucky to a certain extent and are now in last place in the group. Now their chances of qualifying look like this:

Yes 3.20 No 1.30

And here it’s hard to disagree with the bookmakers, since in order to definitely get into the 1/8 they need to either win the two remaining games or gain 4 points and hope that the results of other games will be favorable for Newcastle.

Newcastle will not be missing some important players. I have seen some important players like joelinton, or even almiron was playing in EPL. They will not miss the game against PSG. PSG was also slowly building their momentum.

1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 27, 2023, 12:06:18 PM
Germany are really lucky about being the hosting country for Euro 2024 honestly. Otherwise I would doubt their qualification for Euro 2024 quite much. They would have probably had big problems on qualifying for it directly and move on with the playoff round instead. Even in the playoffs their situation would be open for a surprise.

Because I liken their current condition to Italy in the latest World Cup qualifiers. You know how bad Italy's journey there finished.

The same thing might have happened to Germany also here. Because Germany are still far away from their good old days.

1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 27, 2023, 11:57:52 AM
Even after the good performance I see from Al Hilal in this season, I hope to see Al Nassr winning the title in the Saudi Arabia because Ronaldo joined this team to achieve a title in the Saudi League and Asian and maybe this will be his last achievement during his career, However, the results Al Hilal got was amazing and this can be very hard to beat this team with the current situation they have.

I would also like Al-Nasr to win the title this season and the point is not that I am a fan of Ronaldo, but that the dominance of one club is not interesting. Al-Hilal have won something like 7 titles out of the last 8 seasons. It would be sad if, after the Saudi League began to develop so quickly and such large investments were made, the situation did not change at all and Al-Hilal continued to dominate.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: November 27, 2023, 07:28:17 AM
The challenge is that if we have not made up our mind to listen or ready to take advise that is given to us then we are simply going to waste the person's time, it is going to be like water on a stone. Sometimes it is our readiness to receive such advise that makes it work otherwise such efforts will be futile.  Like someone who is still addicted will later go back to gambling if he has not been convinced in himself to stop and seek for help, you can't help someone whose mind is not prepared for it or it will take a longer effort to get such persons out of their addiction.

Yes, this is a big problem that concerns not only gambling: many people think that they can figure everything out only based on their experience. And here this can be said to be a “natural” assumption since gambling is entertainment and what could be dangerous in entertainment? But in fact, there are many pitfalls and dangers, so ideally, a beginner in gambling should first familiarize himself with the theory and only then try practice.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 27, 2023, 07:19:38 AM
As a gambler, how many bets do you think  you need to place to give you a true idea of how good you are? Anyone can hit 60% in the short term. But for example in betting I am hitting between 55-60% depending on the sport after around 450 - 500 bets. Assuming I want to go pro on betting, do you think that this is good enough or do I wait and see what my percentage is after 800 - 900 bets before making a decision?

It all depends on the odds and volatility. If you play with low odds (up to 2), then I think a distance of 100-150 bets will very accurately show how good you are. If you play with large odds, say 100, then you will need a distance of at least 1000 bets since the volatility of the result is extremely high: if you guessed twice in the first 100 bets, it turns out that you are damn good, right? But this is just volatility, since over the next 300 bets your result may go negative or come to the average.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 27, 2023, 07:13:57 AM
Bayern Munich has been the only team that has been dominating the Bundesliga and no team seems to stop them even Dortmund who tried to stop them last season couldn't because they were too weak. Now we have Bayern Leverkusen trying their best to make life difficult for the champions (Bayern Munich).
I hope this isn't another Dortmund who struggled and lost the battle at the end when it all matters, I wish this team to do much better and get the trophy this season at least let's hear a different name as champions in the Bundesliga.

The depth of the squad is apparently greater in Bayern, but Bayer also has its advantages: firstly, they do not have obvious stars and the team achieves success through collective actions. It’s possible that if, for example, Kane experiences a decline/injury, Bayern’s effectiveness will drop. Secondly, if Bayer is eliminated from the Europa League at any stage, no one will blame them since there is one important goal - the Bundesliga. In the case of Bayern, everything is different - a change of coach and such an unusual (expensive) acquisition as Kane suggests that Bayern will not only win the Bundesliga but will also be successful in the Champions League, so Bayern’s efforts will be divided into two directions.

As reported by AS, Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, told the media:

“Will he sign for Madrid? You should ask Madrid that.”

It is believed that Real Madrid maintain a firm interest in Halaand. The Norwegian forward’s contract with Manchester City expires in the summer of 2027.

There are rumours that a release clause will become active in his contract from the summer of 2025. Signing him at any point in the near future will be extremely difficult, even for Real Madrid.

Source: https://therealchamps.com/2023/11/27/erling-haaland-agent-real-madrid-rumours/

Interesting answer. This looks like an invitation to negotiations or at least leaves room for further maneuvers. It's funny that there is no praise for City and all the talk about loyalty to the club and other nonsense. After such a shitty attitude towards Haaland in the club, this is absolutely the right behavior.
I hope that the release clause in the contract is adequate (which can be assumed since Haaland moved to City as a possible top 1 for the coming years) and Real will buy him at the end of this season.
1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with crypto because taxation makes no sense? on: November 27, 2023, 06:33:57 AM
Yes, in this area taxes are very similar to robbery (as in other areas, but here it is even more similar) and it is better for the player to avoid taxes, crypto really helps here. By the way, also due to the fact that even if you are in a country where gambling is prohibited, you can safely play online.
What irritates me most about gambling taxes is that the principle of prohibition of double taxation is not respected - the state collects taxes from both casinos and players.

Many of the gamblers are not ready to pay the taxes for the gambling deposits and withdrew from the gambling sites. If the gambler not win the big money or not able to hold their deposit money, how he able to pay the taxes for the nothing he had earned and loss of the capital investments. So it was need to think by the government to make the taxes for the gamblers for the deposit of the money t the gambling sites. As we know the state collect the taxes for the players and for the gambling sites. So it was look like the double taxation for the single process,if any gambling sites approach the government for this.We don't knowit will works, but if it work we will free from paying taxes to the government.

Are you suggesting that gamblers pay taxes immediately when they make a deposit? I doubt that anyone will agree to this. The fairest and most appropriate solution is for only the casino to pay taxes. For a casino, this is a normal business that brings in regular, predictable income, but for a gambler, winning is a rather rare thing (if we are talking about the fact that winnings exceed spending on bets).
