Yes, atheists only think about all the concrete. There is one statement that I think is untrue, believers do not create their own god. but the various ways they make their god real. God actually exists in their own hearts.

I have heard about this rubbish quite a few times. Some of my Catholic friends have told me that I will burn in hell, if I don't convert to Christianity and believe in Jesus Christ. I studied their religion and found that there is a long list of banned items. A lot of things, from masturbation to condoms are banned in Christianity. I politely told them that I don't want to convert to such a restrictive religion.

It all depends on your definition of God or Gods etc. God to me is life force. The intelligence that has manifested our physical Universe, and also animating dark matter, which is much larger than what we can see, is hard to put a name on. But for convenience, I call it God/Goddess. I only say  God/Goddess because there is no singling out of yin and yang forces. It's all together, and forever moving and changing. Two forces of creation.

I agree with you 100% that religion is ridiculous!  It is a religion that you are against, and me as well.  And you're right, religion is used as an excuse to commit all kinds of heinous crimes.

I have no patience for organized religion of any kind, as far as the idea of following it blindly. I do like to study the stories of various religions, as they can give a lot of insight into the thinking of that particular culture, and are often filled with wisdom.

I am interested in life force. Your explanation of us as an organized bunch of atoms that has somehow accidentally gained consciousness is backward. We are a life force that has chosen to amass and organize a bunch of atoms, to do what we like with them, to create something.  We go back to nothing, in your meaning, lose our form, yes, but we don't need any form to be conscious.  Consciousness does not come from matter. Matter comes from consciousness.  

You mention quantum physics. There is an intelligence animating the subatomic particles. The latest subatomic particle, the Higgs Boson, is nicknamed the God Particle because it has a sticky field. It draws other particles to it. Something is animating it.

Light is made up of photons. Descartes in 1637 stated that light was made up of particles called corpuscles. In 1672 Sir Isaac Newton championed this opinion that light is indeed made up of particles. Then in 1678 the Dutch Physicist, Christiaan Huygens, along with Robert Hooke, believed that light was made up as waves. And then in 1905 Einstein said these waves are made up of packages of energy, and he called them photons,  based on his friend Max Planck's research.

Subatomic particles have been known to blink in and out of existence. Sometimes they are observed as a wave or particle. They change and go out of sight and reappear.

My physics professor uses to say to us it is impossible to observe something without changing the behavior of it, regardless of what it is. As an example, he said, if someone said, "Be Normal, I am observing you! Would you be normal? " He said it was the same in an experiment in Physics or Chemistry. The act of conducting an experiment or the act of observation will change it in some way.  There is some underlying intelligence going on.

Einstein developed the theory of Relativity and concluded that time was flexible. It always depends on the view of the observer.

In other words, we determine what it is we see and experience by interacting with it.

The mass that makes up the existence of our body and everything around us that we experience as matter,  is existing or manifesting, according to our interpretation, our understanding.

Intelligence and emotions seem to create our physical world. You can't deny that the physical body responds to something invisible, such as our emotions, and this, in turn, drives our chemical and hormonal body to either repair or destroy our body, and to either strengthen or weaken our immune system.

If you tune in, there is something much bigger than what we think of as us. Our intelligence goes in an out of our bodies as we live or die. And also there is a united network or field of consciousness.

We can communicate with each other telepathically but also with other forms of intelligence that we don't see in bodies.

Our bodies are byproducts, not the source of our intelligence.  

So this is God, to me. God is creation and destruction and we have a part in this as to what we put our focus on. Our will is God's will when we are open to this intelligence. And it does not have anything to do with following a set of rules called a religion, or a  priest, teacher or guru, blindly. Then it gets goofy.  We ourselves always have the best, and most direct connection to source,  to all intelligence within us.  Universal intelligence is within and without us.

I am and always was enthralled with science. I am thrilled with each new discovery. Perhaps if you read my post again you would understand this. My logic follows science.

Of course, there are vibrating strings that connect different dimensions of existence together. This makes sense to me as a musician and a clinical music therapist.

You've basically said, things in nature are machine-like, so god is real.
