stay on 0.95 - gives me better results than 0.97 which is weird, coz flush work seems to be fixed, but hashrate is still lower than on 0.95 with flushwork issue
*ok consumes less W, but I prefer more GH/s now

funny i was having the same thought after seeing them cooled and no real change, as well as others mentioning that they ran their unit hot on .90, that it might allow chip to seat better in solder or something like that.... what stats u got phoenix1969?

0.97 also shows a continuous drop of hashrate for me from 500 to 470 (3 hour average eligius).
Actually.. it doesn't seem to be coming back in any previous firmware. Last value was 450 and that's where it stayed. I read compatible reports on KNC's forum. I fear 0.97 might damage bad Jupiters... Careful upgrading yours. .96 does seem to be better than .97 on good jupiters. I haven't tried it on a bad jupiter yet.. so far bad jupiters hash better on .94 'overclocked' running bfgminer but the VRMs/chips do have to take a beating.. perhaps heatsinks? to 'cure' modules, remove the asic_test file and install .96, run enable cores and few times and reboot. It should do its 1-2 min asic tests and then reboot itself. you should have more enabled cores again How do I remove that asic_test file?? +1 Please some help on this. I can't seem to find the answer. I'm not sure why you need to remove this file - I would think it would just overwrite it, but if you really want to remove it: SSH into the machine, then: # cd /config # rm asic_test The '#' is the command line prompt - don't type that. Well, I read to try it here. And I read about it on the knc forum. Seems like someone wants a guinea pig. Any success with this? Anyone? If you are concerned about breaking sth, just rename this file ? Then you can revert it anytime. #mv /config/asic_test /config/asic_test.bak mine is v0.97 and I don't see this file oot@j4:/config# ls -l -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 202 Oct 23 16:53 cgminer.conf -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 167 Jan 1 2000 cgminer.conf.factory -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 11 Oct 23 17:14 dropbear -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 427 Oct 19 05:34 dropbear_rsa_host_key -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 43 Oct 23 16:54 led-blink.conf -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 63 Jan 1 2000 lighttpd-htdigest.user -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 22 Oct 23 16:48 network.conf -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 31 Jan 1 2000 network.conf.factory -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 634 Oct 11 17:41 shadow -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 634 Oct 11 17:41 shadow.factory how do I know which one is underperforming, I am below 500 Ghs

I have to ask, does this look right to everyone? I am wondering if it is a bertmod issue or why I get such poor performance, just disabled cores not showing. I cannot see this in control panel v0.97 How to get these details???

Here is the latest on just the one board. It is running steady at 104Gh and 10% HW errors and 90W. Now that's just not right is it? RMA?

Still waiting for hosted 39xx Saturn. Looks like it won't be this week either. Got a reply today (25th of October) to my extensive request from yesterday, where I also asked about compensation as non-hosted miners after my queue place are being shipped and deployed: We are terribly sorry for delay with setting up your miner in the hosting facility.
Our engineers are working on it as fast as possible and applying all the efforts.
You should be receiving log in details very shortly.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.
Med vänlig hälsning | Best regards Anna Jagdhar
Compare it to another reply from the 22nd of October: Hi,
We are aware that there is also a delay with the hosting compared with the shipping orders, but the engineers are working to get your miner up as soon as possible.
Thanks Emilia

Hmm... Oh, and difficulty goes to 387.080.588 (from 267.731.249) tonight-ish.

Down here where it might cost $5.50/100watts/month, and I think the difference per module is more like 148w now up to 258w, at the wall for me with a somewhat less efficient power supply, but if yours goes up 150w/module at the wall to 250w/module at the wall you're looking at 400watts/hour for for a month. If at 7.5¢/kwh it costs me ~$5.50/100watts continually for a month, then at Hawaii power rates and 4 modules not 1, what will your power cost increase be? Of course the BBB power is now divided by 4 so that's a little less.

2 cores is practically nothing. That shouldnt cause significant performance issues. That's 1% of cores not working on a die, or a couple of GH/s
