How many VGA ram heatsinks must take for one Neptune And what dimension
Zero... don't you see the huge plate over them? otherwise... if you remove the plate(s) you probably have 4 vrm's per box, so 20 per Neptune if you rip everything apart... they are about the size of a nickel maybe. (2cm?) 8 VRMs per board. Just like Nov Jupiter boards.

Probably more rigorous DIY is needed by replacing the whole metal-plate (and fasten the Tower in a different way).
I would probably go back to the old mounting method for the heatsink plus separate VRM heatsinks, I suspect that will provide a better setup since you can get better contact with the individual VRM heatsinks.

I still have to get it trough customs, but loosing the second miner really made it a bad deal for me. The electricity in my country makes it a good business but I have to deal with 3rd world country officials that usually behave like apes, which means that I'll have to pay extra to get the miners not fast but in the time that they should arrive. I fill the entire gas tank of my car with 0.08 USD.

If they're built as poorly as the FrankenJup boards, you'll have to be very carful that you don't pull the VRMs off of the board when removing the thermal pads.

KnC said for batch 1 and batch 2 Neptune "All refunds will be refunded in dollars and you can refund up to shipment".
My order status is still "paid". When I asked for refund, I got reply from Anna: "As shipping has already started, we are no longer accepting requests for refunds."
Then I insist that my order status is "paid", not shipped, and the reply from Anna is: "Sorry, no longer possible."

I think they must be burning in everyone's Neptunes before shipping next week. Holy shit! That is a bunch of new Hash power hooked up to the network. That's the most likely explanation, especially since the number fluctuates both up AND down (currently 6%). At least, I EXPECT them to do a 24-48 hour burn-in on the boards before shipping them to me.

Hey padrino, can you point to a link for this method, for those of us who don't know "the old mounting method".

Buy some good thermal paste at your electricity hardware store. While that thermal compound/paste like Artic Silver is good, there are much better professional solutions at your electricity hardware store. Thermal tape, paste, compound, glue, gel, pads and even spray.

Ouch. call them. call them, and for what? Just say "European consumer law" and they will shit their pants. according to http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_MEMO-11-675_en.htm4) 14 Days to change your mind on a purchase The period under which consumers can withdraw from a sales contract is extended to 14 calendar days (compared to seven days legally prescribed by EU law today). This means that consumers can return the goods for whatever reason if they change their minds. Extra protection for lack of information: When a seller hasn’t clearly informed the customer about the withdrawal right, the return period will be extended to a year. it seems that everyone now has a one-year return period? but how to claim it?
