Avenger, good to see you are still trolling this thread. I know you guaranteed many times that nobody would get a neptune before the end of Q2, but here we are again and KNC is shipping.
Get a life, move on from this thread.
They managed to ship one unit by June 22nd, 8 days from the end of Q2, so I wasn't far wrong. They'll still be shipping well into Q3 by the looks of it, so they will not meet their Q2 obligations.
If they kept to their word and shipped one month apart between batch 1 & batch 2, they'd miss the Q2 deadline by a month. People's expectations of knc are so low they don't even complain: 1. No newsletter updates for 11 days, during the peak of shipping, to let customers know what's going on. Pathetic. 2. KNC lied about shipping one month between batch 1 & batch 2. Batch 1 customers should be furious, as they are getting nothing extra for their early investment. As Edgar calls it, the customer humiliation batch just keeps getting more humilating. Those guys who bought the $13k rigs must feel pretty cheated right now, seeing as people who paid $3000 less will have their rigs a few days later 3. Very poor product design. Penny pinching at every opportunity, as Elenelen's post above one again reinforces. Chips to measure temperature as far away as possible from the board, so people can see "hey my boards are only 65C, that's not so bad!". I'm still waiting on someone with a thermal imaging camera to get right in there on one of these hot boxes and give us the real numbers. 4. 90 day warranty for Neptunes! That's the biggest joke of all. The same warranty for secondhand/used goods. With all the cheap components knc are using and the excessive heat these components are running at, it'll be a miracle if they are still running in 3-4 months time. And KNC are, as usual, making the RMA process as DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE. They are telling people to return DOA/faulty stuff, but not sending them UPS labels to cover the return shipping until customers insist on it. And you can be sure when knc are building their own boards for their datorhall No 2 & 3 & 4, they will be using top quality components and doing rigourous testing. For their competition (i.e. customers), not so much. 5. People who don't have their rigs by 30th June - demand the free hashing package knc promised in February. It has nothing to do with the 241 or HWYW - it was a commitment from KNC to compensate customers if there were "any delays". Will this happen? Or will people just roll over and wait for their knc masters to ship them a rig whenever it suits knc? DickJames, you have only posted in this thread one time in the last 3 months and use that to take a dig at me? That's a bit sad. Batch 2 always had q2/q3 on the delivery estimate. Nice try. ... but here's something you can "tear apart"... hosted conversions currently getting sodomized.

Wrong. As usual. Ungrateful moron. Their Batch 3 ads were promising Q2 delivery: Just to remind some people, I reported KNC were running this banner on google in February: So every order they took b4 February *has* to ship before Q2 ends, right? I also told you not to reply to any of my posts: lies and wank
Go fuck yourself criminal. Do not reply to any of my posts unless it's send the 40BTC bounty you promised to the people who got your stolen coins back. So don't, you ungrateful thief. Me and a few other people got your entire life savings of bitcoin back after you were scammed. Most people who get scammed never see a penny returned. You should be eternally grateful and thankful to the people who helped you. Instead, you are a dick.

Looking good Tom; nice configuration. Are you just connecting two PCI-e per box to get around the 20A default safety limit on the AX1200i (that's what it looks like in the pic's) or have you managed to save the 40A settings to the PSU? Thanks, u27

I'm working right now on some modifications (I have raised the BCP 20 mm already and built a Fan beneath it {pointing upwards}), also have large heatsinks for VRM's and a wind tunnel with additional Fans on the backside of the box..... but I doubt It will lower the VRM temps below 80 C... Later today I post some result.
OK, I have a modified-DIY-box below 70 C and running on 500 Mhz: How do I get above 500 Mhz ?

Get a life, move on from this thread.
Avenger's posts are thoughtful, informative, well-constructed and occasionally quite humorous. His graphics are second-to-none. I have used this forum extensively for KNC hardware issues, over-clocking advice and purchasing/refunding advice, I even learned about the 4 vs 8 VRM screwing I got for being one of the first to purchase from KNCminer and I have found Avenger's posts to be very useful. We need to hear all sides of the discussion; even yours RickJames.

If you don't care about cases and have room you could arrange the bare PCBs in a pentagon. Set them on a 3 speed AC box fan pointing up. I have not looked at OC yet, hope they didn't obfuscate the method. It's cruel as an answer/suggestion but, there is a thread for previous versions OC https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=313978.0Be aware that beginning of thread is WAY outdated. YMMV

its nearly impossible to get a Titan refund at this point.
Per their ToS it is, but just be persistent yet polite and they may change their mind. You may find someone human over there that may care a smidge and do the right thing. I guess that would be worth a shot. I work for a large law firm coincidentally, so I can easily get in contact with an attorney for legal advice or even try and convince one of them to pickup a KNC Miner class action lawsuit. I have a feeling Titans will be under-delivered or undeliverable on their end. In case you paid with BTC you have an additional option to file a complaint and you should make use of it as well. Purchaser Complaints
Purchasers filing complaints about a purchase will be forwarded to you [the merchant] for resolution. BitPay reserves the right to terminate accounts which receive excessive complaints.

Long time board reader, first time poster.
Just wanna say that KNC delivered me my Neptune. It hashes at 3.025 THs, and with them promising to deliver a second one near the end of August, i'm a fairly satisfied customer.
I'm running it off of 3 1050W ULTRA X4 supplies. I still had to slowly walk the clock up to get them not to over surge the supplies though. It woulda been great to get it sooner and make more money, but what can ya do.
Its been running 3 days, and although the PCIe connectors are hot, nothing has melted yet.

D-link is router software... You meant "Corsair Link"? if not...it's here: http[Suspicious link removed] Am I to understand that the "regular" corsair ax1200's are okay, and it's only the 1200i which the problem at startup exists? AX1200 works fine, I run 3 cubes from one of those. I really hope the AX1200i works as well since i have ordered a bunch of them.

@ jellin Answering PM publicly so others can benifit if still confused. It's only a coincidence that I even noticed the message, I never notice them usually. The question was about Corsair modular cables. It may also apply to non modular Corsair PSU I don't know. Specifically using ONLY ONE of the PCIe connectors on dual PCIe cables. The standard Corsair modular SINGLE PCIe cables are constructed with 18AWG wire. They get HOT. The modular cables that have 2 PCIe connectors have 16AWG going to the first PCIe but only have 18AWG wire going to the second connector. If you have a modular Corsair PSU it is better to use only the FIRST PCIe connector on the double PCIe cables. It is better to NOT USE the modular Corsair single PCIe cables if possible. To be POSITIVE get a magnifying glass or microscope and look at the wire. It can be hard to see on black wire so it can help to lightly scuff the wire with a pot scrubber, fine sandpaper, etc. You want 16AWG or better (lower AWG is better/bigger wire) 18AWG PCIe wires get hotter than 16AWG PCIe wires. I use 4 strands of 12AWG for each cube. It is not possible to tell if the cube is on by power cable temp. (2 @12V and 2 @ Ground) Use the lowest AWG wire (biggest) you can for the PCIe cables. 14AWG is very hard to crimp and install unless insulation is thin. It costs money to make heat with wire, more if removing same heat from room with airconditioner. This info was originally posted here by User27. Perhaps go back a few pages and read his post, his explaination may be easier to understand. YMMV
