Hi Mattthev, it seems that you have magician hands when it comes to tune the gpu bios. I am interested in your service. I opened this topic yesterday at bitcointalk https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2013941.0There are some screenshots and the origal bios.rom file. The GPU is Gigabyte Gaming RX580 8GB Hynix with only 22.5 MH/S Please take a look and let me know how much you can tune the MH/S up and how much you can tune the watt down. Thank you!

Yes. I was doing bios for this card for one of my client. Is this the 470 11256-31-21G (bios 113-2E353FU.M58) with Samsung K4G41325FC memory? If so I may be interested in some help. I have the cards running 27.7MH's with 1200 clock / 1900 memory using 1750 straps. I can't get any of the cards to run higher than 1900mhz.

Hi, just want to ask if the Uber mix 3.1 is tested for RX 580 specifically for MSI RX 580 Gaming X (samsung)? And do I need to copy and paste the uber mix 3.1 to both 1750 and 2000 timings and not on the 2000 timing only? And also, will it lower my GPU power consumption even if I just edited the timings and not the voltage in the Bios Editor? Thank you very much.

It should be 11256-31-10G, but should be same it uses same Samsung memory. Uber-mix 3.1 isn't working very well on some of those cards.

Edit only those straps you will use. The card has 2000MHz by default, isn't it? No, changing the timings will have same or slightly higher power consumption. You need lower voltages for less power consumption.

Is it the 2000? Or both 1750 and 2000. I`ve seen the instruction that for 580, just copy the uber mix to both 1750 and 2000. However, I`ve also read some comments that they just copy it to 2000 only. Can you help me which one do I need to do to get the best mining performance on my gpu? Thank you very much.

Like I haven't answered it already... just copy to both.

Better is flash the card with it's own mod bios, but if they are all same there should be no problem flash it with one bios. Atiwinflash wouldn't allow you flash the bios to different card. Check if they are all with same memory vendor, otherwise you need to edit the other vendor too.

Hello, do I need to use Pixel Clock Patcher after bios modding my MSI RX 580 Gaming X (Samsung)? Just read some comments that some cards do not need it? Thanks!

Can anyone help me understand why my GPU's will require 10-30W more power all of a sudden, after changing nothing except the location.
Same hash rate, same temperature - but each card is consuming between 10 to 30 W more power... all of a sudden?

thanks for this guide Mattthev, it was extremely helpful. i am however experiencing some small caveats.
I went ahead and modded my XFX RX480 8GB OC version (XFX Radeon GTR RX 480 DirectX 12 RX-480P8DBA6 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5) one by one.
went from stock hashrates of ~650's to a range of 859 h/s to 878h/s mining XMR with claymore, and is remaining pretty stable at the moment (maybe i'll have to report back later)
However, its doing ~960W at the wall for 5 cards and the Claymore software doesn't display the temp of the cards and the fanspeed anymore. Also, If i tinker with anything through MSI Afterburner, the hash rates immediately drop to ~250 h/s per card. What do you think the problems might be?
I'll be PMing you as well for additional help!

Can anyone explain why I get these dips in GPU Clock speed? 4 x RX 470's Corsair RM850x PSU Power cable going to PSU gets very hot - might even start melting if I leave it. Dips: Mining: Your voltage is probably to high and card hits its power limit, decrease core voltage it should do the trick.

Use WattTool. Don't use Claymore. XMR-STAK or SGminer is much better. You need to undervolt the cards and also underclock a little.

What does this have in common with bios modding?
