Looking to try any new straps for Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 (11265-01-20G) with HYNIX memory.
Using PE 1.6.1 Good Hynix Mining strap at 2000 and 2250 only gets 765 (stable, no mem errors ever) at 1250/2250 for XMR.
What Hynix type do you have?... H5GQ8H24MJ Ok, that's not the one I need. Have you used the timing strap from PBE 1.6? Send me PM I will give you improved version.

What Hynix type do you have? dear all, i have power color 470 4gb mining edition with elpida memory, i mod bios same like what i did to my 470 4gb gaming edition. but why this mining edition draw more watt when i check in GPUZ? mining edition brown box draw 85watt, and gaming only 65 watt. is there any how i can mod my mining edition so at least 65 watt in gpuz? i mod only strap 1500 up. that is.
thanks, hope somebody might help my. regards
If you only want lower power consumption you can just undervolt the core. doest work, it still 85 watt in GPUz, i did the same methode with mya 470 4gb gamining hynix can reach 65 in GPUZ. i dont know why this 470 4gb elpida draw so much power, and the speed lower as well. thanks

You mean like bios mod? Or what to edit in timing strap for better XMR hashrate?

I followed this guide exactly, only with 4 cards per rig, and it works perfectly. Highly recommended.

by chance I saw the reddit link and guide so I tried it out and my results are a little different. I used the "1100MHz HBM @ 905mV" reg file and this is what I got. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Uq3Om2MXOEnotice the voltages for the core and memory are different from the youtube video by oldcomer? so far, the highest hashrate for eth is about 43mh/s but my lcd is connected to this card with other software running as well. so this might have impacted performance. hwinfo shows gpu core using 68w, mem 21w I manually changed the p7 core clock to 1221mhz in wattman

What does the temperature target in BIOS indicate. The values are 70 on RX 570 Gaming X. Will the card throttle if it crosses this limit? RX 580 Nitro+ has this at 75.
@Mattthev maybe you would like to add a note in the OP. While using ATIflash not to have HWInfo or other softwares that reads off BIOS. They interrupt the flashing process. Have experienced this several times.

Hey Matt, do you have an experience of a Nitro+ 580 4gb hitting 31Mh stable?
I'm running 8x right now (just finished setting it up last night) and I could get them to run at 30.5 stable for >12hrs now. You think they can push 31?
|
I build and sell rigs! I also sell ssd clones of the most stable Windows+Claymore+AMD driver combo you'd ever used.

If you are using timings from the PBE 1.6, so probably yes. Mattthev, Thanks for the great tutorial running RX 470 4G with Elpida memory and mining ETH with it. I've never had problem with this. It's only recommended to close MSI Afterburner or other OC utilities.

If you are using timings from the PBE 1.6, so probably yes. Thanks! And if things go south, i'd just change them back to the lower mem clock settings.

I've meant that you need better timing to achieve that. Only if your card is super awesome that timing from PBE will do 31MH/s and more.
