I am finally out of the noobjail ... hip hip

I was lurking on the forum for a while, without any registration, but i have registered to congratulate Slish for the great work done in (not the first one) situation like this. Well done Slush and respect!
Yes, it's his business, but the reaction in critical situations makes the difference between A and B ... A hides (and denies) the brakein until it's too late, while B is clear and do it's best to minimize impact - i'll trust B more than A, because he gives me more info and chance to protect myself too.

As a side note, the hosting except being (hopefully) more secure is much better with regards to delay/routing accessibility - i am using load balancing between several pools and was mining with 80-120MH/s before, but it's stable at 145MH/s now

Not trying to start a "shitstorm" here, but what did happen with block 17701 ?  I have 160+ hashes and zero BTC, and blocks 17702 and 17703 above it have already filled in and have amounts....

edit:

Now it shows  none and none.  Was the block stale or invalid?

We don't know yet. We have to wait for Slush, and he's probably in a sleep-deprivation coma.
I'm sure he'll let us know when he addresses the issue.

Never mind.   I think he must be working on it, it's changed around multiple times, now seems ok.

Edit.

Thanks, Slush.  You're almost faster than the whole internet  Wink

But how about you?  In your job, have you ever put out way more than your customers (or your boss) expected?  Did you get a little something extra in your pay, or a good tip, for the effort, or did you just get a "Thanks, great effort -- now get back to work" for your reward?  Which situation would motivate you more?

I'm well known for always putting in more than is expected.
And no, I have never been initially rewarded for it. Its a long term thing. If things are looking down I don't have to worry about my Job security. Almost everyone on site knows me from the directors to the farm staff (quite a diverse company) and wouldn't have a bad word to say! Not to mention I am continually getting offers from other companies.

I show loyalty to the company, they show loyalty to me.

But this isn't a case of a company on the verge of bankruptcy and the workers volunteering to prop it up.
Somethings gone seriously wrong. You should pay slush's dedication back with your own! Coming back to your customer comparison, if a supplier has always gone out of their way to help you, when they have a problem you don't throw money at them.
Instead you take the inconvenience on the chin, work round their issues and stick with them.

My issue isn't with those that want to tip, feel free. I just took a little aback at the indirect suggestion it is owed!
Especially because the sorts of people that view loyalty as financial are generally really quite selfish. The sorts that had the pool been down for a few days would have jumped ship to another pool. Not saying that about anyone here directly, just as a rule of thumb you tend to find those traits.

Welcome back -- did you have sweet dreams?

Actually I slept only for short time, but I just got back at home from meeting about the Trezor and I was monitoring the pool from my smart phone all the time :-).

Now I started with Namecoin payouts, which should work in few hours.

Donation sent...

I know it wasn't much compared to the scale of things nowadays, but I wanted to show my appreciation in a better way than just posting a simple thanks that will get lost in a pile of random posts within a half hour.

Thanks again slush.

digital - thank you for your donation, every piece helps to recover from the attack! I already contacted my lawyer and I'll go to police on Monday. Let's see what will happen next. I doubt OVH will repay the loss, but maybe I'll see at least something. I'm in much better situation than two years ago with Linode, because OVH is EU company with the office in Prague...

tyrion70 - I prefer wine or tea, but Staropramen isn't bad as well :-).

Hmm.. I must honestly say I like wine from Hungary better than Czech wines (I love Azsu wines or Výběr z cibéb as you call em). But I also love the vinobraní you have there Cheesy I had some really nice Muller-Thurgau wine when I was in Prague last time.. I guess I have to visit you in September then ;-)
